Berniece refuses to let Boy Willie sell the piano because of the message behind it. Boy Willie causes all this drama so that he can sell the piano and use the money to buy land. In the film when he first met Bianca he was shocked and believed his little brother was insane. He just couldn’t believe it and talked to Karin about putting him in a hospital.
