Joseph Haydn Joseph Haydn was born in a small Austrian town named Rohrau. His mother was Maria Koller a cook, and his father was Mathias Haydn who was a step under the village mayor in Rohrau. His Parents were hard working people his father would be the one who did have interests similar to his Mathias enjoyed performing folk music. Haydn would also discuss memories of his family singing and being very musically inclined with one another. He was very shart and extremely talented in the Musical Arts and his parents would notice and knew he needed a change of scenery to help him attain a better career in the art. Michael Haydn and Johann Evangelist Haydn were his brothers. Haydn was a teacher to Beethoven.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, commonly referred to as Mozart was born in Austria during the 18th century. Leopold and Anna Maria Mozart gave birth to Wolfgang Amadeus on January 27th 1756. (“Wolfgang Mozart") Wolfgang was born into a family that was not unfamiliar to the sounds of music. Leopold, Mozart’s father, was musically talented and enjoyed playing the violin and was not shy at introducing his children to music. Both Mozart and his sister Maria Anna began playing instruments. Therefore, from about the age of six years old it was obvious to Mozart’s family and his peers that he was musically gifted with his understanding of the complexities surrounding it ("Wolfgang Mozart").
Haydn has a special preference for writing music in a bundle of six. Each of the six pieces has its individuality while sharing many common features at the same time. Haydn’s solo keyboard sonatas show striking diversity in type and style. They often could be categorized by their style periods and each of them reflects a corresponding social background.
After the death of his mother his music career became even greater. After taking some time off due to his mother’s death, Ludwig moved to the city of Vienna in the year of 1790 to work on his music career. When Ludwig arrived in Vienna, he began studying with Joseph Haydn. “While being in Vienna and studying, Ludwig wasn’t a happy student of Haydn because Haydn never had the time to teacher Haydn (Green).” A few moves after arriving to Vienna, Ludwig had to return home to the city of Bonn because he learn that his father had passed away. Lizst was born on October 22,1811 in Raiding, Hungary. His father played the cello and many other instruments while teaching his son how to play the piano. It was easy for Lizst to pick up an instrument and learn it in no time that’s why at the age of six he was recognised as a child prodigy; by the age of eight he was composing elementary works; and by the age of nine he was playing in concerts. Lizst father worked for the Prince Nicholas Esterhazy. After Lizst played for a group of wealthy sponsors, he asked the prince for extended leave so he could devote his time to help extend his sons musical education. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria January 27, 1756. His father Leopold Mozart was a violinist to the court. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was the child that Leopold was waiting for because he would construct little Mozart into the greatest composer of all times. Knowing that Leopold had a musical background, he became the teacher of little Mozart. At a very young age Leopold taught his children everything about music, and when Mozart was six years old little Mozart and his sister were on tour. They went to many places in Europe including Vienna showing that part of the world what his children were capable of. Leopold could not stop showing off his amazing kids, and many times he took them to important places to let them play on their own. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Joseph Haydn are two of the many great classical composers of their time. Although some of their work may have been underappreciated at the time, their music is greatly acknowledged, if not well-known, today. Both composers were from Austria, and both created beautiful classical music. However, there are notable differences in their pieces. This could be due to their personalities, historical context, or instruments of preference.
On March 31, 1732, Franz Joseph Haydn was born in the charming village of Rohrau, Lower Austria which is on the Hungarian border. Joseph, called Sepperl by his German parents, was born a peasant boy. Haydn’s father helped the village head to build and repair wooden wheels. His mother worked as a cook in the Palace of Count Harrach before she married. Remarkably, neither of Haydn’s parents could read music, but his father was a self-taught harpist. Hadyn’s father and mother had 12 children. Anna Maria died in 1754 and Mathias remarried and had five more children, all of whom died in childhood. Luckily, Haydn’s parents recognized and supported his talent for music. At age five, he became the music students of a schoolmaster at Hainburg, Johann Matthais Frankh. At 8 years old, he worked at the Cathedral of St. Stephen 's in Vienna as a choirboy. By 1749 his voice had changed and he was no longer able to sing high choral parts. He played a joke on a fellow classmate by cutting off her ponytail. This resulted in a severe lashing and his dismissal from school. After being dismissed, Haydn had no place to stay, and his family could not help him financially.
