Andi: What are the next steps of the AC Village Task Force: (1) Vision, (2) Case Statement
Emily A.: Sandy, did you review the Vision as it is due tomorrow?
Sandy: Yes, I reviewed it briefly. Would you like to share it?
Emily A.: Of course. Please keep in mind, we can change the vision if needed as we transition into the other phases of the Antioch College Village. What we have so far is:
With a sense of urgency for sustainability, the AC Village Task force will strategically guide Antioch College's aspirations for future development of the Antioch College Village. The intent is to solicit equity, seek development partners, and provide process

They exist and we should find out what they are and get involved with them.
Donovan: Volunteered to take contacts from Tom for follow-up purposes.
Jay: How should we approach these people and a concern of the board is to make sure we are not taking from one cause to give to another.
Tom: We should not approach those people for gift capital funding.
Donovan: Went over the venture capital and stated that there are only a few individuals on the list that give to the college.
Tom and Emily S.: Advised they had not seen the list (Copy of VC sent on November 12, 2015).
Jay and Tom: Both agree we should not reach out to Alumni that have Trustee Solicitors. For example, Barbara overseas John Willis and we should engage her first.
Tom: We should cultivate John for advice and grow his interest. Donovan and Emily S. agree.
Emily S.: Went over the national foundations and possible donations.
Sandy: The list is going through foundations that we know and have contacts/interest in projects for a solid place to start. The gun foundation is a long shot even though it is a local foundation. They are committed to

To persuade the members of my audience in becoming a Partner in Hope by donating/volunteering to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
I believe community involvement is essential in order to cultivate skills, increase awareness and educate people to have a fruitful venture in mind, body and spirit. The cultural diversity, partnerships with public, private and non-profit organizations have been instrumental to our success in this region. Despite the different ideologies and competing viewpoints, I hope to become an agent of
The meeting agenda included the topics that were going to be discussed which made the meeting more structured. To start off the meeting, they called the meeting, announced the time and date, took roll call, and then everyone stood up and said the pledge of allegiance. There was a Personal Appearance from Jim Haddock and he first had to state his full name and address. He thanked the city council board for the bills, as he
Central Valley College functions with two major stakeholder groups, which are the trustee board and president’s cabinet. Although they are outwardly the main stakeholders, the faculty senate, and particular staff members play significant roles in change efforts.
For the past 17 years, Elk Mound has been my home. When most people drive through the village on highway 12, they glance ahead, not noticing the community around them. The people living, working, or attending school here are not only my friends, but in a way, my family. I have grown up with people who have more in common with my rather than just where we live. There are 66 young adults in my class today, and I have known everyone’s name since first grade. Attending a small high school has given me multiple opportunities to join a variety of clubs. If I am playing a basketball game, running in a meet, or participating at the State Academic Decathlon meet, I see familiar faces from my community. The support of a small community is personal. Since
For my campus interview project I interviewed Mark Conway of the College of Saint Benedict Literary Arts Institute. Mark has a long history with CSBSJU he father went to school at Saint Johns University. As Mark got older and was ready to go to college he followed in his dads footsteps and he to enrolled at Saint Johns University. Shortly after graduating from Saint Johns University Mark worked nine years at Minnesota Public Radio, which was founded in Collegeville Minnesota. Mark has been a CSBSJU employee for twenty-six years. He’s been at the Literary Arts Institute for eighteen years. As special fact about Mark is he actually founded and created the Literary Arts Institute. The more I talked to Mark the more I understood how passionate he is about the Literary Arts Institute along with CSBSJU.
The new president of Antioch College, Mark Roosevelt offers free tuition and provides higher academic curriculum for students. They reconstructed and tearing down the old buildings on the campus. His plan is to make the college interesting and would gain more people’s attention. Eventually it would help the college to earn accreditation and someone would try to raise funds for the college or enrolled more students and have them to pay for the tuition.
Following the portion of the meeting where the public could bring things to the table, the Council continued with its agenda. Multiple departments came and gave reports on what they were doing and their progress. Including

Most companies in today’s world want to make money in a way or another. The pursuit of this goal is what define average companies and great companies. In a study, done by a group of Iowa State professors, evidence was found for the Putnam thesis that companies that rely on the community that became rich was because they were civic and not the other way around (Kilkenny, Nalbarte, Besser, p231 1999). Grand Canyon University (GCU) has used this concept a lot, but there is a new avenue that GCU must follow to continue its success. GCU’s Canyon Christian Schools Consortium (CCSC) program was built on this great concept of students being involved in the community. Yet this program has devolved because of the basic law of diminishing returns. Thus GCU should add a CCSC option that is service in the central Phoenix community because helping this community will improve the school’s image and will help the students in achieving GCU’s goal for leaders while fixing the CCSC program’s numbers overflow problem.
Kathleen’s contribution to the group project was to work with the other members to pick a sustainability issue within the local community and to help create the initial and second actor map. Also, she reached out to The Quarters and the Shelter House of Iowa City to see impacts of how transforming low income housing into luxury apartments for students impacted sustainability efforts and increased housing inequalities and environmental injustice. She wrote the specific paragraphs in the paper that dealt with those specific facets, as well as the conclusion and designing the actor maps on the document.
