It is the policy of both AARA and PEMCO to achieve the greatest practical degree of freedom from accidents and to ensure that every employee is provided safe and healthful working conditions free from recognized hazards. Employees are expected to obey safety rules, follow established safe work practices and exercise caution in all their work activities. Failure to abide by established safety procedures can result in disciplinary, up to and including termination. In situations where job responsibilities include regular driving and accepting of business calls, hands-free equipment must be used. Under no circumstances are employees allowed to place themselves at risk to fulfill business needs. Employees who are charged with traffic violations resulting from the use of their phone while driving will be solely responsible for all liabilities that result from such actions. Violations of this policy will be subject to the highest forms of discipline, including termination. Please review the attached Addendum F for laws pertaining to cell phone use while driving that may apply in other states. 5.4 REPORTING OF TRAFFIC INCIDENTS Employees who drive vehicles as any part of their job with the Companies are required to report to their Supervisor/Practice Manager any citations, D.U.I.s, or accidents ("incidents") that they receive at any time after they become employed. To achieve this goal the Practice will comply (and will require employee compliance) with all Occupational Safety and Health Act ("OSHA"), Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA"), and State Department of Health requirements, laws and regulations for workplace safety and health.
