Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President of the United states, is well known as one of America’s greatest president and hero. His visions for this nation were reasonable as well as outstanding. Lincoln wanted everyone to live in a world filled with respect, patriotism, security, equality, and happiness. Most of his decisions were to unify the country and bring segregation to an end. Because of his political background, he could make decisions based on what the people wanted and what was good for the country in all. His goal was to put an end to slavery and to provide a united nation a chance to achieve great things. His religious beliefs were an influential to aid him in his decision-making process. He believed that everyone had the right to freedom no matter the color or your skin or your beliefs. Over all, his most significant and main goal was to fight for equality for everyone.
While his main goal throughout his presidency was to gain freedom for colored people, he still had other things to control. On April of 1961 Civil war starts, the Confederate army attacks Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor, so Lincoln gathered 75,000 volunteers to serve a …show more content…

He was an honorable man who many presidents after him looked up to. His successful and inspirational presidency is what made people nominate him for a second run. However, Lincoln was unable to see what he accomplished after he was assassinated. His assassination affected everyone not only his family. He united the world with his kind words and inspirational movements. The greatest lesson we could learn from Abraham Lincoln would be- to be genuine. He was an average society member who knew what the problems we small people faced. He looked at everyone’s point of view on issues before coming up with an executive decision, and that is why he will forever be America’s
