Decision support systems (DDS) is a content free expression that assists decision makers utilized data (component) and models (component) to solve unstructured problems by providing the available data in a timely manner. Most components are standard, however in some cases it is necessary to build some or all of the components.

Water shortage is a growing problem for most countries in the world. For China, which has 20% of world’s population and only 7% of available water resources, this problem may become catastrophic (Hofstedt 2010, 72). Therefore some actions and measures should be performed to avoid or at least to weaken future water crisis in China. In this work the following three solutions will be proposed and analyzed in terms of efficiency and applicability: water usage efficiency improvement; adopting the local agencies on controlling water resources; reasonable water pricing.

There are a lot of problems and challenges involved in implementing a clinical decision support system. It is important for medical staff (doctors, administrators etc.) to be an integral part in the implementation and development of CDSS. Our limited research concluded that acceptance of such technology is not easy amongst physicians. One of the main reasons for non acceptance is that the physicians want to be a standalone entity. We plan to investigate many challenges such as lack of technical expertise, cost, integration, misdiagnosis, speed etc involved in implementation of different types of CDSS in the health care industry today. Our research paper will focus on the different decision problems involved in these challenges.

Decision Support Systems promote a learning culture in an organization. Employees and managers learn new concepts and more efficient ways of improving the organization, either as a byproduct of the application of DSS or from the direct implementation of DSS as training tools. This learning process is good for the company’s future decision making processes.

First of all it is necessary to define what the term “water shortage” means. For some people, it means having to constantly traverse long distances just to reach a source of fresh water and to collect it. For others, water shortage means to content themselves with water only for a part of day. And finally, there are some regions in which people suffer from droughts that lead to a great amount of deaths. Therefore, in modern world problem with deficiency in fresh water has become burning question, which needed immediate solution.

Decision support system can be built with requirements gathered from transaction processing system and analyzing them through analytical model to support non-routine decision making. However since building analytical model requires lots of research and gathering information regarding different factors we consider this as implementable in future after required information’s are gathered.
