Carbon monoxide is one of those emissions and it reduces the blood’s oxygen carrying capacity which can reduce oxygen to other vital organs. CO also greatly affects health risk, particularly to those suffering from heart disease. Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) is also a car emission and contributes to smog formation, and acid rain, which can lead to damaged crops/vegetation. This source is reliable and constantly updates its info. This source also relates to my topic because it talks about the effects that car emissions can have not only on the environment but humans too. Car Emissions and Global Warming. (n.d.). Cars and trucks account for nearly one-fifth of all US emissions, emitting around 24 pounds of carbon dioxide and other global-warming gases for every gallon of gas. These emissions can lead to an increase in temperatures, severe floodings, and rising seas due to melting ice. Electric vehicles can produce zero emissions when the electricity comes from renewable sources, which may not completely stop pollution but definitely slow it down. This source is reliable
