1.3 Significance of the study As a part of course curriculum placement training for 15 days has been conducted with an objective of getting practical knowledge to the student. The fulfillment of this objective lead to industrial familiarization. The study throws light on the production process and its functions are of great help to gain knowledge about the organizational atmosphere.
1.4 Research Methodology Research in common refers to search for knowledge. It can also be defined as a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic. Research methodology may be defined as a way to systematically solve the research problem. The research methodology adopted for the present study has been systematic and was done in accordance to the objectives set. The method used to conduct this project is merely a qualitative form of analysis; but needs enough attention for a careful and complete observation of the organization. The study places more emphasis on the processes that takes place in various departments of the mill. Sufficient attempt has been taken to cover almost all the factors of this industrial unit and to understand the complex of factors that are operative within this unit.
1.5 Data Collection
Data collection means simply collecting the
nature of the research approach calls for a means of data collection and analysis of findings
Research can be defined as the search for knowledge, or as any systematic investigation, with an open mind, to establish novel facts, solve new or existing problems, prove new ideas, or develop new theories. Research can be divided into different steps in order to understand the whole process more in depth. The first step towards conducting research is to observe. Consistst of the subject area of ones interest and following that subject area to conduct subject related research. The subject area should not be randomly chosen since it requires reading a vast amount of
Research methodology is conceptualised as the overall approach of the investigator to achieve the aim and objectives of the research study (Saunders et al, 2012). The literature has pointed out that effectiveness and efficiency of research methodology has a direct impact on its feasibility, reliability and authenticity (Bryman & Bell, 2015). This is the reason, it is proposed that standardised frameworks should be used to develop overall research strategy that is optimised for the aim and objectives of any given research.
Within this assignment there will be a clear demonstration and understanding of the concept of research in relation to the acquisition of underpinning knowledge appropriate to my programme of study. I will also be undertaking a comparative analysis of the nature and validity of quantitative and qualitative research methods. I will also be demonstrating skills in critical analysis of methods of data collection and selection of appropriate methods to informing future working practice. I will also be analyse the ethical considerations in relation to the development and undertaking of research.
In this paper you will learn the process of research. Anyone can research but in order to research correctly, one must know the language and process. As always when researching the reason one is researching to find new information. This is when one will familiarize their self with new research terminology as well as knowledge. When one describes the research process it should contain; the new terminology found, how the terminology and knowledge apply to the research, explain how not knowing the proper terminology can affect the research and as well as why knowing the correct terminology helps. When researching one must
The company relied on human labor in carrying out its operations. Even though hand- wrapping is still being used, the company has acquired many efficient machines that assist in carrying out production process. More skilled labor force therefore, has been recruited unlike initially where most of employees were unskilled. Consequently, production process has increased a lot, thus making the company to adjust according to fluctuating market demands.
INTRODUCTION A research method refers to a way of conducting and executing a research. Researchers frequently use a single or a combination of methods in their studies. The two methods, that is, the Longitudinal study and the Field experiments have different methodologies.
Researches are always carried out with the purpose of answering questions that are there, to ascertain a particular phenomenon or to prove a concept. Different researchers have different reasons for carrying out their research and this is encourage because the knowledge that is gained can be used by the others in improving that research or better understanding what the situation is. This paper tries to look at what the researchers were after and at the same trying to see the challenges they faced and their limitations. It basically tries to understand why the researchers chose the research design that has been used in the research.
At the beginning, the keywords of the research question were identified with related words. This is done to create a broad and thoughtful review of the existing body of knowledge and to enable you identify the research gaps which subsequently inform and help to shape your research question. Subsequently, a search of databases was done followed by use of necessary criteria to sieve out the literature that is not needed and this will be followed by analysis of selected texts.
Research is a process of collecting data and information on a specific topic. The purpose is to use the data and information to prove that the findings may or not agree with the claims. The difference between informal and formal research is the type of information collected. Informal research methods use nonscientific method to conduct their data, such as searching through company’s files, seeking colleagues’ opinion, interviewing the target audience, and conducting a survey. On the other hand, formal research uses scientific methods to conduct their data and it uses up-to-date sources, such as journals, magazines, newspapers, and other online sources. These shows multiple perceptive of the given topic and acknowledging difference problem that needed to be address. Moreover, it also investigates primary sources and search public information manually, which allows it to develop an unbiased understanding of the topic.
It is important to mention at this stage that a research study presented by a researcher may not give complete information about the selected topic. There can be certain limitations of methodology and the new researchers may criticise it for being incomplete. As research is a circular process in which ideas can be added and extracted by researchers anytime, the application of the presented ideas by one researcher are tested and verified.
What are the reasons that hierarchies emerge in organizations? What about the roles and the nature of this emergence? Does this aid in structuring these organizations/work areas? In this essay, I will be relating the description of activities that take place in an early industrial pin factory from Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations to the organizing and structuring of work. The relation will be described done by examining the division and specialization of labour, requirements that lead to the need for coordination, Horizontal and Vertical Differentiation required for coordination and how structure/hierarchy arises and if it is in fact needed.
Research methodology is a way how the research is conducted step by step and in order. There are two methods used for data collection which is the primary data and secondary data. These data can be obtained and used many ways. The data is taken and analyzed in advance to produce a result that we can use for research and future reference. This study will relate to the objective we want to achieve and finding the answer to every objective we seek. In order to successfully achieve the objectives we seek, we must know
This paper will evaluate the current over all production environment in one manufacturing facility. An assessment of organizational health will be based on all information gleaned from this course. Beginning with learning styles affects on training and ending with managerial self productivity to improve plant output.
Bob fashioned a management team based on trust and openness. He wanted his managers to be committed to eliminating hostilities that lingered between the stamping and components operations within the plant as well as between hourly and salary employees. He was also looking for people who would support his informal and highly participative management style and who would work to increase the level of involvement among Parma?s hourly employees. Bob was successful in keeping weekly floor board meetings so that union officials and superintendents discussed plant floor issues and by doing so, engaged them as active and productive in decision making. He also kept biweekly meetings with his staff and the Shop Committee chairman, the president of Local 1005, the Shop Committee members to continue and keep a high level of team work, communication, decision making and as a vehicle of power for this group to exercise change at Parma.
