Adaira The young women walked back from the shore to start getting ready to hit the nightclub later this evening. Adaira’s and her friends enjoyed the use of the house owned by her best friend’s parents. They had the run of Megan’s family beach home in Playa Del Rey for the holiday week. Megan’s parents were on location in Canada for two months. Her dad and mom were on a movie shoot filming a creature feature. As a result, the friends felt they were on one long slumber party, similar to the ones they enjoyed as teenagers. Only at this juncture of their life, wine and men liven up the week-long gathering. The young women knew each other from the high school they attended in Woodland Hills, California; before scattering to the wind for College. The girls’ holiday plans included New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas. But only Adaira, Megan, and Christina were able to get time off from their employer or were between jobs as in Adaira’s case. Doreen and Wendy had family obligations to go to instead. The first to arrive downstairs in the living room which ran from the front of the house to the back of the home was Adaira and Megan. The two women were standing near the huge wall of sliding glass doors looking out towards the moonlit ocean. “Megan, thanks for making it possible we were all able to get together before I leave. I can’t think of a nicer place to spend time with my friends than here at the beach. It’s so beautiful here, I love watching the surf and being close
Ricendithas stood after this meeting was adjourned, disinterestedly looking around the room as he then followed Stella out into the main room. He hadn 't missed Soyeon giving him the stink eye; if anything, it only brightened his mood that he 'd managed to ruffle her feathers so nicely. And while they were going down the stairs, Ric just looked about while ignoring her little tryst about not touching anything. "Do I look like some common thief?" he muttered, his visible green eye shooting downstairs as he heard the argument. One that made his bemused smirk turn into a grin that make the Cheshire Cat jealous.
In Robert Frost’s poem, “Acquainted with the Night”, there is a sense of melancholic loneliness of which the speaker seems to be content with. The reader sees a glimpse of his perpetual depression on a habitual night time walk. He starts by saying he is “one acquainted with the night” (line 1). He feels a sort of companionship with this time of day. Ironically enough, while most everyone else is asleep and quiet, he feels a sense of belonging. The speaker personifies the city through parallels of his own lonely depression.
Soon After Danny’s prayer to St. Jude, He quickly began finding work. Danny Thomas would eventually become one of the biggest stars on the radio, film and television in his day, and even one of the world’s biggest celebrities, and he had St.
The play begins by revealing the setting as Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Seemingly important details are that the play is taking place during a scorching month of August, the home where the scene takes place is run down, and that any source that permits sunlight to come in has been taped down. The three characters revealed are Johna, Beverly, and Violet. Johna is a young, Indian woman who is being interviewed by Beverly. Her duties around the house will be to clean, cook, to take Violet to the clinic, and to live there. Beverly is a kind alcoholic, who wants to get help for his wife, Violet. Violet is addicted to pills, has mouth cancer, and reveals herself to be unstable and sporadic.
Asteria was on the final few pages of the chapter when a particular sub-heading caught her attention – constellations. Her eyes scan down to the page, stopping when they find a small diagram of Orion’s belt. It was the constellation her mother had been named after and it was tattooed across her lower back. She begins to trace her fingers over the constellation as her thoughts drift back to her early life on the Ark.
Richards briefcase it showed the audience that Paul was showing his anger due to the fact he had feeling for Anne.
Preitor, bedraggled and exhausted, heaved the small bag he had with him onto his back and shuffled inside to the main entry terminal of Omega’s small but busy spaceport. The caked on grime of every surface made him crumple his nose in disgust. The smell… what the hell was that smell?
The night is brisk and even with the thick suede jacket pulled over the man’s shoulders he is still freezing. He should mind the frozen temperatures, but he doesn’t because he has just won a vast amount of money off a bet. Money that he can spend on luxuries that he doesn’t need but believes he deserves. He smiles to himself, walking along the cold roads. Occasionally passersby will bump into him and cautious to pickpockets, he pats the pocket that holds the thick envelope of money. Maybe he’ll stop by a restaurant along the shore to treat himself.
“I thought I heard something in the night. When I went out she was in one of the traps that one of the boys had laid out.” Alriel was only telling half of the truth and old Saralyn knew it. She had raised her from a little girl and not only knew when she was lying, but also knew of her gifts. They were gifts that no one could explain.
Alan strode out the door just as skittish as he was when he walked in. He went over his plan in his head a countless amount of times. He was meeting Diana for dinner that night. He was going to put the potion into her wine. Diana wasn’t aware that Alan had such a tremendous admiration for her. He was strolling along, almost to the restaurant when a bluebird swooped down and snatched the love potion from Alan’s grip.
Fortunato died in the wall after a few days of being inside the wall. Years later there once was a girl named Lucy who was the daughter of Fortunato who was born before he died but he never knew he had a daughter. Lucy really wanted to go to the local carnival but her parents never liked the carnival because when they went on a date before their daughter was born they had a bad altercation with one of the rides and they had to sue carnival for twenty million big ones. She was adopted by a couple when her father died. She really liked her moms but when they told Lucy that they would never go to that place ever again and that there are plenty of opportunities to go other places. Lucy had a chance once when her class went in 4th grade but her parents just told the school that they would be on vacation only so she couldn 't go. Lucy grew up with the same friends that she has had since birth, they all went to the same school since they could even talk. Lucy 's friends always told her about how great the carnival was and that she really missed the great adventure, which not only added gas to her fire but it made her go on a rage. This rage lasted for weeks and weeks and she ended up destroying her room just to show her parents how bad she wanted to go to the carnival. The night that she destroyed her room a little leprechaun about the same size of her foot with a face that looked cute, according to Lucy which made it easier for the leprechaun to convince her into going with him
On the morning of June 8th, 2016, the sky could not decide on its mood. The clouds hung grey, but their burden was light with precipitation. Sunshine, a quick shower, sunshine, a quick, and so on was the sky’s schedule until we were allowed into to a small room in the back of the Miami Beach Holocaust Memorial. The light sprinkling of rain made the walk to the room significantly surreal, at least to me. The small droplets still hung to the plants, but also hung, like tiers, to the green metal sculptures hidden among them. The figures were grim in appearance, green, ribs protruding from the side, hollow eyes, and open mouths that were letting out a hollow scream. Our class, 30 in number, shuffled in and took our seats.
Cameron, a young man, awoke abruptly. It was another long night in 2257 AD near modern day China. “Another nightmare,” he whispered under his breath.Panting heavily, he turns and puts his feet on the cold, damp wooden floor. Standing up, he let out a yawn as he stretched. “Well I guess I better go eat some breakfast,” he said to himself. As he goes down the stairs he passes his father’s room. Cracking the door open he could see his father sprawled out on the floor covered in glass bottles. “Drunk again I see,” said Cameron as he turned to continue walking down the stairs.
Patricia cringed as her fingers found the chilly metal. She put on her best in some semblance not to look out at the group of men, holding dollar bills in their fists, watching for that instant they saw a break—to see the parts of her body she’d been brought up to conceal.
As I walked up to Wendy, Kate, and Alex, I could tell they had very exciting news. Alex was jumping up and down. Kate was waving at me telling me to come quicker. While all this was going on, Wendy was in the back laughing at them. It was hilarious watching them. As I walked up to them, they all started screaming.
