Everybody has their own methods for writing; however, I believe there is always room for improvement. Chapter 3 in Everyone’s an Author has shown me that writing involves processes that need to be mastered through constant practice. It also revealed helpful tips on how to develop writing processes that can help write effective papers.
Here is the supplemental addition to my blog. I have incorporated it so that it is one read. This will contain all of the 3 paragraphs as requested by our instructor.
When I discovered that my English class had to do a Research Paper, I became horrified. I thought students only did this when they were finishing graduate school not when they were starting their first year in college. All I knew about research papers was that there is an overwhelming amount of research to do. In my efforts to complete this obstacle and not bore myself to sleep with researching, I wanted to do an interesting topic, but I had no idea where to begin. I spent hours going through a great number of subjects and people, but once I found topic remotely interesting, I could not find much information on the Library of Congress website. Therefore, I decided to choose one word that would hopefully lead me to an interesting topic. I
For example, an instructional manual on how to repair car, or fix an appliance is considered a research paper, since someone had to investigate how to do it. Moreover, I was specially interested in the learning about how my writing and thinking could improve by foreseeing my reader’s critical questions (p.13).
Writing a paper on the writing process is pretty hard. The writing process is different from one person to another. You come across questions like, 'What exactly is the writing process?'; and 'Must you follow one persons writing process if yours is different?'; This is where I came across the answer to my questions, write however you wish to write. If one person likes free write first and another person likes to write a draft first, let them do how they please.

What can be considered “good writing” varies with context. Qualities that make research papers well written are different from the qualities that make good short stories. In the short story writing community, writers have a small amount of time and space to communicate. Kurt Vonnegut’s story “The Kid Nobody Could Handle” in his book Welcome To The Monkey House exemplifies good writing because within its brevity it packs potent emotional impact. “The Kid Nobody Could Handle” is written with a pacing that pulses to multiple climaxes, a prose that indulges in just the right amount of metaphors, and a story arc that leaves the reader in the sweet bliss of a moral realized.
The type of writing is scientific. This style is a bit different from other writing styles. Effective writing is not something I am very good at so I have to force myself to work at it every day. Being able to write is critical for my advancement. I am expected to publish scholarly work each year.
"Constructing a Research Paper" is a unit from "Academic Writing for Graduate Students" was a third edition written by John M. Swales and Christine B. Feak, and published by the University of Michigan in 2012. This book mainly focuses on how to prepare international graduate students to write academic papers. This book consists of a total of 8 units, of which unit 8 explains how to construct a research paper (Swales & Feak, 2012).

A Research Paper is a type of academic writing that needs more theoretical, significant and methodical level of question. Although a research paper is a kind of term paper, some term papers don’t require academic research. Not all research papers can be considered as term papers. An objective of writing a research paper is to allow people to read the work selectively.
