Anxiety affects the entire person. It affects the physiological, behavioral and psychologically. Physiological anxiety include body reactions like rapid heartbeat, muscle tension, queasiness, dry mouth and sweating. Behavioral it can interfere with the ability to act, express yourself or handle everyday situations. Psychologically anxiety causes apprehension and uneasiness. It can cause one to feel detached from one’s body or fearful of dying or going crazy. Criteria must be met are 1. Symptoms must interfere with important areas of functioning or cause marked distress. 2. Symptoms are not caused by a drug or a medical condition. 3. The fears and anxieties are distinct from the symptoms of another anxiety disorder (Kring, p. 174).

“Anxiety is the signal of danger which mobilizes the human organism’s resources at all levels of functioning in the interests of conservation, defense, and self- preservation.” (Anxiety 1) If a person suffers from anxiety there is a major loss of control and then an attempt to regain that control because of a fear that they have. Anxiety disorders are one of the most frequently occurring mental disorders in the United States. However, anxiety disorders are not only found in the United States. Alternatively Hadley (1995) puts forward the view that contrary to popular belief, anxiety actually arises out of thoughts of potential danger and not the actual danger that produces the symptoms of anxiety. In support of this view the document by Chrysalis states that “feelings of anxiety come from apprehension or fear, the source of which is not always recognisable”. Feeling anxious at certain times in our life is a normal instinctual response that serves as a protection to aid survival. It teaches us to avoid dangerous situations and in this way is a learning process however the subconscious can sometimes work overtime resulting in response to all situations that feel remotely similar to the one that has made us feel anxious in the first instance (Chrysalis 2010 1-5 pp7). This document describes how anxiety will affect our whole being, our emotions, our behaviour and our physical health. Anxiety becomes a problem when its level rises above normal and interfere with a person’s life, associated physical symptoms include, trembling, tense muscles, churning stomach, nausea, diarrhoea, headache, heart palpitations, pins and needles, sweating or flushing (Chrysalis 2010 1-5 pp7). These feelings coupled with the physical symptoms experienced make a person want
As stated before, Cooner needs more logic or facts in her article to support her ethos. Pathos and emotion do strengthen a viewpoint, but logos is required to make sure that readers believe that the article is valid. The models of behavior, if fully understood by the readers, can help support Conner’s claim. The models of behavior help support the validity of Conner’s article. Conner makes readers think about how anxiety occurs in everyone. All humans do feel nervous at least once in their life. Readers can understand that the effects of anxiety are part of human nature (Cooner). Anxiety is part of everyone’s life, and it is up to humanity to come together to find a solution to
The author, utilizes Dr.Julius Richmond who is a surgeon who talks about how Americans aged 15-24 have a higher death rate in 1979 because the adolescents are beginning to be very experimental with things around them. Nardo begins with explaining how anxiety and fear are very similar with one another yet the sources of the feelings contrasts them. Experts identified various factors involved in how individuals develop anxiety including; modeling, insecurity with how parents have high standards both in school and home for their children. Therapists, psychiatrists, and other doctors use many different methods of treatment in how each individual is different from one another. In most cases they will help the patient in some ways examples: logical

How neuroscientists know whether what they are seeing represents a pathological or a natural form of anxiety is through modern societies. Since the 1980’s there has been a major increase in research on anxiety. Ever since, special clinics have been introduced in order to help deal with anxiety disorders. It is suggested that the growth in research is due to anxiety being regarded as one of the most prominent and pervasive emotions, causing distress and negatively affecting large numbers of people. As stated by Rachman (2004), anxiety is described as the experience of unpleasant feelings and the unsettling anticipation of a threatening but vague event. Anxiety can be experienced in many different ways, such as feeling tense, uncertain, and perhaps, fearful at the thought of a particular phenomenon or event. There are two main types of anxieties; state anxiety and trait anxiety. Endler & Kocovski (2001) have explained that state and trait anxiety both result from mental assessments of a potential threat. Unlike trait, state anxiety is described as a temporary condition, where once the perceived threatening object or event goes away, the individual no longer experiences the symptoms of anxiety. Individuals who exhibit state anxiety will normally feel anxious when going to job interviews, speaking in front of large crowds or sitting exams. State anxiety is considered to be useful at particular times, by making us more alert and enhance our performance, thus creating a fight or flight response (Rachman, 2004). However, in some cases where the feeling of anxiety is too overwhelming, it can have the

Anxiety is termed as a number of complicated negative thoughts such as fear, worryness, and apprehension. Individuals are capable to sense and feel the presence of anxiety in numerous situations connected to their culture and community. In addition, scholars attempted to find out the nature of anxiety from different perspectives. Spielberger and Rickman (1990) read about anxiety, depending on the famous psychologist Sigmund Freud, saying that anxiety is a nasty sensational state that is followed by the worriness and apprehension. However, too many authors have studied anxiety in regard to psychological or personal theory to learning and perceiving (Spielberg, 1966 a).in the beginning of the 1960s, the two ideas which are the state of being anxious and trait, were introduced by the two authors (ahell and scheier 1961) . The features of the anxiety condition are closely
