I want to be a software engineer for my career. One reason why I chose this career was that you just sit at a computer for most of the time. Another is that it pays well. The job fits my interests in math and science very well. I would also be good at the problem solving that I will have to do. I also have a lot of background knowledge in programming anyway which would be a good start.
When programming began the programmers didn 't even interact with the computers directly. Instead the would take them by hand to a mechanic which would batch test many at a time. The first widely used language was fortran made by IBM for math and science computing. The other major language at the time was cobol by the US department of defense for business applications. Then they stopped using batch processing and used a time sharing model. Practitioners admitted that they did not have the proper practices to implement and produce software at a commercial scale. They called this the software crisis. To find a solution they held a conference in 1965. This is where software engineering really found its roots. They made a report that defined the foundation of software engineering. In the early 1970s key ideas and thinking emerged that allowed engineers to break up giant projects into smaller modular parts that could communicate with each other. Another major change was in the early 1980s when people stopped looking at data as a continuously changing stream. Instead they began to think
What are your occupational goals? Have you ever thought about how you are going to achieve those goals? Did you create a documented strategy? I have, and I would like to take this opportunity to trace out my path to achieve that dream job. Since I was a young boy, I knew that I wanted to work with computers. I have always been able to adapt quickly to new technology and troubleshoot technical issues. The Information Technology (IT) field like so many others require a College degree, but that is not all it takes to achieve that dream job. You must also possess professional skills and strengths beyond your degree. In addition, to enjoy that dream job you must like who you work for. Planning my career can be summed up into three different
Becoming an engineer in this field would let me help innovate smarter, faster, and most importantly, cheaper technologies that could be distributed throughout the community to help better lives by letting people experience the global network and have a proper education when they normally wouldn’t be able to. A couple ways I could help the community using computers include designing educational software and distributing more affordable computers to schools and homes in need.
Career Tech will provide me with an environment of friends that are dedicated to the same level of education I am. Career tech meets my family’s standards. It provides a way for me to get a great academic foundation and continue playing for Wasilla Warriors basketball team. I believe Career Tech will boost me into my future and my road to college.
Because of the different applications that the computers can perform, I was very interested in computers, especially the idea of coding. I had zero knowledge of coding, but there is nothing that stopped me from learning how programs were created. It is intriguing because I saw many people on the news everyday able to create a new program that can advance the technology that humans currently have. I want to be someone who is able to create those programs to help the people improve their lives.
Moving on, the development of computer can be assessed from two perspectives. One perspective would be the invention of hardware components over time like vacuum tubes, transistors, integrated circuits and microprocessors that can be referred to as a generation of change. In the other hand, another perspective would be how user friendly were the computers over a period of time. In the 1950s the computers were almost impossible to use except by very patient geniuses. Next in the 1960s and 1970s, it could only be programmable by highly trained people. Lastly, from the 1980s till present time the computers are now smaller cheaper and useable by just about anyone.
Army Information Technology Specialist, is the career I want to go into. Since I have a big interest in computers, the career of Information Technology Specialist would be a good choice.
Now that I'm older, and that I don't think many engineering jobs would be too reliable in the future because I think the things that they do can be done by a robot. Since then, I have wanted to become a developer or a programmer because I think they will be an in-demand job in the future because you'll need someone to make the scripts for robots, or artificial intelligence. The other reason I want to be a programmer or a developer is because the job can pay quite well, and it's also a job that you can stay at home for.
Being a computer programmer and placing a job can be very challenging. However, with the high demand for computer programmers could be very helpful into accomplishing my life goals. Working for Apple or Samsung would be my dream job, not just for the money but for the customer service and being able to say I work for a top electronic company in the world. I could also help people understand why I chose computer programing, and my passion for it. Also by obtaining a degree in this field, I’d have the money to give back to the community and help the people who helped me in my time of need. Computer programing isn’t just a hobby it’s a passion, and my passion for it is strong.
The idea of computers, the way we think of them today, began with the Colossus in 1943. This British system was used in code-breaking during the duration of the war.
Ever since I started school I have noticed that I have always been naturally inclined and curious about subjects like math and computer technology. I think one of the major appeals that these subjects have to me is that they always have an answer and a reason for why that is the answer. I think this natural curiosity towards these subjects is what led me to want to become a computer scientist. My dream job would be to be a computer scientists working at a large company like NASA or Space-X, that every day are working on large, groundbreaking research in the STEM fields.
That monumental moment in world history caused the US to create an Advanced Research Projects Agency in 1958. This group created the Information Processing Technology Office which then created all of the basic applications and guidelines that would eventually lead to the
As an engineer, it is apparent that not only would I need to be experienced in the particular region of study for this career, but I will also need to be able to determine the financial feasibility of a software design. As expected, communicating progress and goals concerning a project are also extremely important to an employer searching for a technology specialist. These skills must be acquired over time, and I believe that I will be capable of performing well in such a career after my time at college.
I know I am a good match for computer science because of my mindset. I am very logical and my mind appeals to common sense, which coding kind of revolves around. I have a love for technology. The abilities Man has gained just from a few steel and plastic clumps with electricity in them. It really is amazing to me. Also, I
Being a Software Engineer is more than just programming. It’s a chance to help other people through the power of technology. Having this as a job gives engineers the power to influence other peoples life through programs that could help them with day to day tasks. Software Engineering is an expanding occupation, which means that more and more jobs are opening up for this position everyday. Also, one of the perks of this job is how much money you make. Software Engineering is a good job because, the market is expanding for it, it pays well, and this job can help other people.
Becoming a computer programmer would be great because there are many options in this career by having the ability to produce an operating system, or a game for the world. Computer programmers have many opportunities in life to find a job they would love. Programmers can work independently, or in a big company. Programmers have and are creating the future for computers.
