The articles "We Are Not A Nation of Immigrants" by Gina Loudon and "Many Forget U.S. is a Nation Built by Immigrants" by Lisa Miller both focus on immigrants living in America. Loudon's essay is primarily focused on how the United States is a nation created by pioneers and settlers; she argues that the U.S. is not a nation built by immigrants. Miller focuses her essay on the idea of America being a melting pot; she calls America a "blend of many different world cultures" (1). Despite the contrasting focuses of the essays, both Loudon and Miller are discussing aspects of immigration that either benefit or negatively impact America's future.

America was founded on the basis of immigration. Had the Europeans not come to North America, there would have been no colonies. Had there been no colonies, there would have been no United States of America. Immigration hold an essential role in the history of the United States. Despite this, there are still many who denounce immigration and all that it stands for. Many believe that their jobs are being stolen by immigrants. However, that cannot be farther than the truth. In reality, immigration has had a positive impact on the workforce of America by bringing with them skills that are useful for the workforce, support the careers that already exist, and are more likely to start their own business.

Immigration has been a burning issue lately, particularly after Donald Trump’s immigration ban in the United States of America. It has been a topic that families discuss every morning with breakfast. Despite many concerns related to immigration, it has several positive benefits that mostly outweighs the negativity. People bizarrely argue when it comes to immigration, but these arguments are primarily based on facts and ideas that are outdated or inconsistent and blindfold the positive aspect related to immigration. Many immigrants in the United States are good workers who don't depend upon any public welfare and mostly help in the overall development of the economy. As a country made by immigrants, we must not forget the fact that immigrants have helped to build cities and create a path of development form Google to iPhones (Gray & Furman, 2012). These facts are secluded, and some related arguments with different content have been repeated for years and continue. Immigrants have a lot to give the United States rather than to take, especially when it comes to economic terms.

Immigrants maintain our economy adjustable, allowing U.S. producers to keep prices down and to acknowledge to changing consumer demands. The increase of labor means an increase in production, which provides more goods for the United States to sell. For centuries people have been migrating to America due to persecution, religious freedom, etc, even Americans are considered immigrants since they took over this land from Indians. America is known as the land of opportunities so people find it the best place to start over and create a better life for yourself and/or your family. Immigrants have created diversity and brought different religion, culture, and different ideas to the world. Although some may believe that immigrants are taking over the country and causing debts, undocumented immigrants have positively impacted the U.S. economy because they have helped build the country and create diversity. It may seem as immigrants are take jobs away from the citizens, however they increase the

Although they were not born here, they sought-after new opportunities and had specific reasons for wanting to live in America. As of 2011, 12.5% of our population was made up of immigrants. However; they are still facing numerous issues with adapting and learning our language. They help the U.S. out more than people know. The immigrants contribute so much to our economy, create better living situations not only themselves but for us as Americans as well, and we have more diversity.

In my opinion, I believe that immigrants have their benefits to the United States. Our lives today would not be the same if immigrants never came to the United States because everyone's family tree consists of an immigrant. Immigration has made good tolls on America like: Cultural differences, improving the economy, and food.

The subject of immigration is very significant in today’s world as the leader of this nation, Donald Trump, promote intolerance towards the new comers. Unfortunately, anti-immigration critics don’t understand that the policy of immigration is beneficial to not just the newcomers but also the nation. These ambitious immigrants add value to the nation’s economy and workforce when they come in to the country with legal documents. Losing these individuals would mean losing the cultural and the resources they bring in with them that helps create a better America. With this in mind, the diversity throughout the nation makes America look one of a kind from the rest of the world. Without a doubt, America should continue to show love and compassion towards the immigrants that made America what it is
