Body paragraph 1-Syrian refugees should not be allowed to come to Unites States. In the article “If even a few Islamic State fighters slipped in with the refugees, that could be a huge problems”. Same peoples
The idea of Syrian refugees emerging over to the United States seems to have been the talk for the past few years here in the United States. Although, over the years the argument of whether Syrian refugees should be granted the opportunity to enter the United States or to not to be able to, has always been a tough compromise. For countless of years refugees have been fleeing their homeland to find a new place to call home just to get away from the war. In spite of refugees fleeing the countries, many of the families are having a hard time trying to find new homes. However, the United States has to protect its country from the possible terrorists that the Syrians could bring with them if we allowed them to enter the United States. The civil war over in Syria has Syrians continuing to fight for their lives every day. Syrian refugees should not be allowed to enter the United States for the substantial amounts of attacks that those Syrians could pose.
The debate about letting Syrian Refugees into America has been a heavily debated topic in the last year. One surprising fact is that, ‘The third largest city in the country of Jordan, Za’atari is just a refugee camp filled with Syrians escaping the Syrian Civil War and the population of Za’atari of 90,000.’ Syrians should be let into our county because: we have been letting Syrian Refugees into our country a very few have been of them have been radicalized and carried out terrorist attacks on our country, U.S. states cannot legally reject and deport Syrian Refugees coming here to seek refuge without the approval of the federal government, and not all the Syrian Refugees fit the supposedly true stereotypes
The issue of if Syrian refugees should come to America is a big debate today. Everyone has different opinions when it comes to politics. In this essay I will discuss both sides and give my opinion about this matter.
Four years ago, a civil war erupted in Syria after President Assad’s security forces fired into a group of peaceful protester, killing several of them (Syria), and starting a conflict that has rocked the stability of the world today. Now, as we go into the beginning of 2016, the world faces a refugee crisis unlike any other, and pressure is being put on many of the the world powers to give Syrian refugees a safe haven inside their countries. However, with taking in these refugees comes risk. America has always been a beacon for immigrants of all races and ethnicities for ages, but with the rise of a new terrorist group, with an obvious vendetta against America, the United States is having a difficult time determining whether or not it is safe to let these refugees into the country. Americans are faced with a decision. We can close ranks and turn helpless people away out of fear, leaving them to die or suffer some other unknown horrible fate, or we can put our fear aside and embrace these people with open yet cautious arms.
Thousands of Syrians are trying to escape their government and the terrorist group ISIS. Many wonder why we should let refugees in America, or why any country should allow them. But if Syrian’s cannot come to the land of the free, why should any foreigners come? Syrians have just as many reasons to be in America as anyone else. For example, the education, children’s hunger and freedom.
The first reason the Syrian refugees should be allowed to enter the United States is that America is a multi-cultural country, whose structure are freedom, and equality. The
Syria has been having many problems lately. There is a war currently going on ,and Syria is in need to transport their citizens to another country. Our group will focus on getting the refugees to be able to enter the United States. There has been issues in the United States in which refugees aren’t able to enter the
People are starting to question whether or not they want Syrians living in their country due to all the terrorist attack, threats etc.
A refugee is a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, or persecution. Recently there are many debates going on, whether the United States should allow Syrian refugees to come into America or not. At the same time, there is a civil war in Syria between the government led by Bashar al-Assad and the rebels. As a result, there are thousands of Syrian refugees, without homes because of the civil war, attempting to flee the country and avoid both the conflict and ISIS. There are many States in America that don’t want to allow Syrian refugees to come into the America, because according to them they think that Syrian refugees can cause a potential security threat to them or maybe members of ISIS can enter into the
Have you ever felt like you were an outsider? Like when you were in school, and you wanted to join in a game of football or soccer but no one would let you play. This is how the Syrian refugees feel right now. But I however, think that United states should not let the Syrian refugees in for the fact that there could be terrorist hiding within the group, it is actually more effort than it is actually worth, and finally we have peoples of our own people to deal with first off.
So, we should allow in Syrians, to reassure mankind that we have learned from our past, and we will stand up to protect the Syrians and others in need in the present. In the blog, “6 reasons to Welcome Syrian Refugees After Paris,” it states that The United States during World War II didn’t allow in Jews, since they wanted to protect their country. Then we had made a decision to stop bringing in the Jews. We sent them back, because we let fear overcome humanity. We have to stand up to the enemies harming our humanity, by helping those who need it. If we stop the Syrians from entering, we would be repeating history, and looking back at what we could’ve done to save the people in need. In, “Yes, the comparison between Jewish and Syrian refugees matters” it explains the similarities and difference of the Jewish and Syrian refugees. “The point here is that, in the 1930s, there most certainly was a question of Jews "fomenting" some sort of trouble. Jewish refugees with the similar kind of suspicion that's now on display in social media and from leading Republican politicians, who have issued loud calls to block arrivals of Syrian refugees. In the 1930s, we had doubted the Jews and their need for protection, but that only leads to complete destruction, with no help. Right now in the present, some people are calling off the admission of Syrian
According to Syrianrefugees.eu, Since June 6 ,2011, Syrian refugees have been pouring out of Syria, into the countries of turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and 26 other countries, even the United States of America. Inquisitr News states, that their are over 4 million refugees seeking sanctuary from the civil war going on in the Middle East. This makes it very easy for an isis member or jihadist to infiltrate and blend in with the refugees that just want a chance at a new life for them and their families. The cost of feeding and caring for them is alarming and would put the United States even more in debt than we already are, which is 19.8 trillion dollars. If allowing Syrian refugees into America threats or puts the lives of American citizens in danger, and cause our economy to suffer than it already has then the american people must not allow this to happen.
America is a country that is very powerful, and because of its supremacy, it is the leader of the free world. And as the top country in the world other nations look upon it when they’re in need. Although America has brought in many immigrants, a number of thirty one states have declined the recent immigration of Syrian Refugees. Deciding not to bring in refugees who are suffering in another country isn’t the way a leading country should operate. The crisis in Syria wasn’t something the Syrians could control, as a result the innocent are punished and left in tragedy. These civilians are left without homes, food and other necessities. Because of incidents like the terrorist attack in 2001, I understand that America has been put in a certain situation where they can’t trust certain people, but if they used things such as background checks and other methods to find out exactly who they’re letting into the country there won’t be a negative effect that comes from it.
The United States federal government should accept the Syrian refugees. The refugee crisis is an international issue, and as an active leader in the international community, the United States should be doing its part in helping those in need. There are people who are in need of a safe place and enough food. With over 18 thousand refugees resettled in America, we are on the right track, but there is more we can provide. For example, Germany has accepted over one million refugees and, according to a foreign policy article in 2016, Sweden has taken 190,000 refugees in, which is two percent of its population. In this country, the federal government has helped relocate 12.5 thousand Syrian refugees, and while that is 12.5 thousand people helped, there are thousands more that need the aid as well. If the moral argument is not enough to push this country to provide relief in this crisis, perhaps the economic benefit would. Many Americans and citizens of other countries are worried about the impact of refugees on the economy. However, a Washington Post article soothes all doubts by citing several examples in various places around the world, from Cleveland, Ohio to Uganda, to say that refugees do not limit the economy of the country they are taking asylum in. It is true that there is an initial cost for helping refugees settle, paying for housing and food, but as time passes, there is a net profit for the federal government. Bringing in new possible-workers and
Asylum seekers in Australia always been the focal point of negative political concern for a long time. To stop asylum seekers continue arriving in Australia by boat, Australia enforces the policy of obligatory detention of asylum seekers, unauthorised asylum seekers arriving by boat will be sent to Papua New Guinea camp where operated by the Australian government (‘Asylum seekers: Australia’s shame’ 2017). However, this policy was reported as disgraceful because of the deficient living condition, indefinite and arbitrary of detention and lack of health care (United Nations 2017). Cohen (2011 p. 242) stated that moral panic could be more likely to develop in anything associated with 'immigration, migrants, multicultural absorption, refugees, border controls and asylum seekers’. Is Australia's response to asylum seekers an example of moral panic? By analysing the five criteria from the moral panic theory by looking at the Australian public reaction to asylum seekers with references support, it could be found that the reaction to asylum seekers in Australia is an example of moral panic.
