A Georgia elementary school teacher noticed a bluish-green marking on a fifth-grade student, sticking out above her strapless dress during a dance, it turns out it wasn't just a party decoration.
The 12-year-old student at Arnco-Sargent Elementary had a cross with the words “Jesus Loves” permanently tattooed on her shoulder, shocking the teacher who reported it to police, according to WFMY.
The child told police her father forced the tattoo on her, claiming her mom, Emmie Nolan, even got into a fight with him when he made her get the cross inked on her.
The father denied making his daughter get the tattoo, telling officers the 12-year-old got it done while she was at a Super Bowl party.
Then the girl flipped her story around, saying her

Gaddy spilled the beans on the 35-year-old mother, admitting she put the ink on the girl with Nolan's permission.
Lt. Fetner told WFMY:
"It's difficult to imagine how as a parent you think it's appropriate to supervise or allow someone to give your child a tattoo at that age."
The tattoo artist originally denied taking part, but eventually confessed to putting tattoos on multiple people, including both adults and "a number of minors," with one minor being recorded while she put the tattoo on while people looked on.
Nolan denied being involved with her daughter's tattoo, while police believe she instructed her child to lie to them about how the tattoo got on her shoulder.
Lt. Fetner added
"I think it's unfortunate in that the child actually wanted to get the tattoo. It's not like the child was forced to get the tattoo, I think it just comes down to bad parenting."
Nolan and Gaddy were both arrested.
The mother faces a misdemeanor charge for being a party to a crime, while Gaddy received a charge of tattooing the body of a person under the age of
There are disagreements from those who are considered adults, such as those who are tattoo and other body art artists, who believe that minors do not understand the responsibility of acquiring a tattoo and are not emotionally mature enough to receive one (Burnside, 2013).
Sure enough, all his mother does is nod. “A mother’s love for her child should be unconditional,” she says. “And the others?”
Although she got her first tattoo at the age of 19, it wasn’t necessarily by choice as Harry Bartrem had convinced her to get a tattoo with the promise of fame and fortune when she replied to an ad in the newspaper looking for models who were willing to shave their eyebrows.
2. Ms. Baker provided no proof of a decline in sales or profits during Natalie’s employment. However, patrons did register complaints regarding the tattoo.
Being passed up by the county, he said, “made me work harder to prove myself as a good person, not someone who would be judged by my outside tattoos. I never thought they would be a barrier (to getting hired). A lot of people told me I should not, but I didn't listen to them. It was my choice and I did it.
stories. Not always she was willing to tell one of them, but, fortunately, this was not one of those nights. She asked everyone to come closer and showed them one of her tattoos, on a spot on her left shoulder, usually hidden by her long black hair.
It seems that teens think tattoos are the new trend and are hopping on the bandwagon to get one. Tattoos are a huge commitment for anyone, especially for teens. About 67%of teens around the world are temted to get tattoos without parental consent. They argue that they should be allowed to get tattoos when they want to and how they want to. Teens also say they should't need to get parental consent to get a tattoo becuase they are just expressing themselves. Teens can express themselves using their voices, but the real question here is whether or not teens should get tattoos without parental consent. Teens are too young and have no common sense, so they should not be abele to get a tattoo without parental consent.
Only 32% of students surveyed in Arkansas, California, and Ohio believe that having visible tattoos would hinder a person’s chance of getting a job. (Bevill, Bracy, Dale, Glasgow, & Roach, 2009) It is just what they believe, not what is true.
I went to the tattoo artist apartment located in Northeast D.C. on Minnesota Avenue thinking it was a tattoo shop. The tattoo artist name was Lee and his two assistants were there too. When my cousin Jasmine and I first walked in there were kids sitting on the couch in the living room without lights watching cartoons on TV. The entire process was slow because another person was still getting a tattoo at the time of my appointment, so I had to wait even longer. Before Lee started on my tattoo, he asked his assistant, “Did you print out a sketch of the tattoo that she wants”. As his assistant was repeatedly trying to print out the sketch, he says, “I’ve been trying to but the printer isn’t cooperating or printing it out”. Lee was as busy as a

In conclusion, this article was meant to dispose of the common misconception that you can pick up a tattoo machine and immediately start tattooing people with some basic art skills. This is dangerous and irresponsible thinking and any tattoo artist would be insulted because what they do is a skill that they have learned and perfected through many years of teachings. Do not make the mistake of thinking all that you need to do is buy a tattoo kit and you are now a tattoo artist, it just does not work that
There are many legal questions about tattoos in recent court cases. Legal experts differ on whether a tattoo can be seen as a boast about a
She felt the blood drain from her face. Her mind processed what she was seeing as she mentally compared the contrasted Elena’s tattoo with the remnants of the one on her back. She knew her tattoo was created using a skin burning technique from Creta combined with red ink, but Elena was from Aerugo. Though the tattoo was different, the technique appeared to be a perfect copy of hers, so whoever made her tattoo would not only know the technique but might have met her father before. There was some small chance that she’d be able to find out even more about what her father was doing. Far more than what he’d managed to put in the letter.

“I mean like, if someone is going to kill or rob you, they’re probably just as likely to not have tattoos as have them. They’re not just going to make your commit crimes by having them. It’s stupid.” While we were walking downstairs earlier, he had mentioned a run in with the police he had a few years back- on his birthday, no less. They had pulled guns on him and handcuffed him after seeing his band’s van parked improperly at a music venue. I can’t help but wonder now if the immediate escalation of the situation was in part due to his outward appearance.
