Rivers and lakes form the principal part of the water systems of Azerbaijan; they were formed over a long geological timeframe and changed significantly throughout that period. This is particularly evidenced by fragments of ancient rivers found throughout the country. One of the youngest nations of Europe, Yugoslavia was created after World War I as a homeland for several different rival ethnic groups. The country was put together mostly from remnants of the collapsed Ottoman Empire and Austria-Hungary. Demands for self-determination by Slovenes, Croats, Serbs, and others were ignored. Yugoslavia thus became an uneasy association of peoples conditioned by centuries of ethnic and religious hatreds. World War II aggravated these rivalries, but Communist dictatorship after the war controlled them for 45 years. When the Communist system failed, the old rivalries reasserted themselves; and in the early 1990s the nation was rent by secessionist movements and civil war. Within several years these conflicts

GDP has been growing steadily since 2005 at an average growth rate of 7% and industrial production has been expanding by 12%. The Ukrainian economy was hit by the harsh effects of the global financial crisis but managed to attain a 4.2%
Growing up on a farm has allowed me to learn about many different types of animals. Starting from the beginning of my animal ownership starts with George and Washington. Living on the farm barn cats were always around. When I was about three years old I found these two fur balls. No, I was not a historical genius at the age of three to name them George and Washington, so my dad did. George was grey with beautiful big eyes. Sadly, Washington did not fare so well in appearance. He looked a bit grungy with his white coat since he had lived outside his whole life, and he his one eye was also blind. They were quite a dynamic duo though, catching mice and pestering the birds in the barn. In the summer I remember climbing up on the straw bales

When you first hear the word Mongol, the immediate image that comes to mind is that of a fearsome and ruthless warrior. This reputation helped the Mongols conquer and rule the largest empire in history which spanned from China to Europe. While the rise of the Mongols is largely attributed to the emergence of their famed leader, Genghis Khan, the Mongol Empire itself would have lasting effects on China, Korea, and Japan even after his death. The Mongols would occupy Koryo Korea, defeat the Southern Song Dynasty to occupy China, and attempt to invade and conquer Japan on two occasions under the guidance of Kublai Khan. These aggressive maneuvers by the Mongol Empire would have significant ramifications on the development of China, Korea, and

In 1923 however, the treaty was broken allowing Turkey to maintain its status and not allowing the Kurdish people to have a nation to call
