All mothers, no matter what their circumstances, social status, nationality or age wants the very best for their child and wants to raise that child to have a successful life. They want their baby to have perfect health throughout their life and enjoy every second of it. They know that a baby's body is an important part of their development, allowing the baby to grow both physically and mentally.
It is a mother's duty to look after their baby and they step up to this challenge willingly and whole heartedly. The majority of mothers will donate every spare second of their time to benefit their child in any way, from trying to teach them very basic things such as maths, to just cuddling them so they're warm. They will use this closeness to their

A constant physical growth is the best sign of a baby maturing as nature intended. Although it is somewhat hard to measure, most mothers will employ the use of baby scales, scales designed to track the weight of your baby over the first 6-12 months of its life. They will chart this out and will see a constant growth, which they can then discuss with a pediatrician. This will also give the mother some piece of mind, knowing that her efforts to care for her baby are going perfectly.
Baby scales themselves are usually a digital scale that will measure the weight and height of a baby, giving a reading as a type of BMI (body mass index). Some models will have a built in memory that will record so growth can be more easily monitored. Others will have a scale that lets you check the progress of babies themselves, suggesting a BMI range that a baby should stay near during their early development. This will again, ease the stress of the mother, confirming that her baby is healthy. Generally speaking, most scales will give a number of readings, from the BMI, to the actual weight in units such as pounds or
A mother has a very important role for her child: she is morally obligated to keep him as safe and healthy as she can.
Spending a few days with the newborn, doesn’t give adequate time for the mother to structure any type of connection with the child. The first months of the baby’s life are essential for its progress. In the later years when it’s time for the mother to come home, she and the child are strangers. Not having developed that bond at an early age causes the child to be unfamiliar with its own mother, which leads to long term sentimental and conduct issues.
The first hour of life is very special and mothers need to be with their infants.
My ideal view of a “mother-woman” is a woman who could equally take care of her children, as well as independently doing things on her own. For example, working or things of that nature. More than anything, independence is a very large trait in this “mother-woman”. This is because parenting is a two person job, caretaking should not be just the woman’s job, it is a team responsibility between both
Growth charts also show the pattern of children's height and weight gain over time, and displays whether or not they are growing proportionally. Growth charts can also display health problems. For example, if a child was to grow along the same pattern until he/she was 2 years old, and then suddenly started growing at a much slower rate than other children, this could indicate a health problem.
Babies grow very fast with rapid weight gain. Birthweight typically doubles by 4 month and triples in a year. Babies will grow more than a foot in height and reaches about 34 inches by the age of 2. This is half of the height of their adult age height.
A mother is the first touch, voice and sight a baby has when he or she is born. They rely on their mother to provide them with a safe environment, food and comfort. Being a mother comes with great responsibility and a life long job that the work gets harder every day. Although I myself am not a mother, I have seen this job played out from my own mother who provides her children with a great life. Some mothers are not ready for this job, yet selfishly still choose to keep their children because they are too proud to allow someone else provide their baby with the life they deserve. Child abandonment is a ever rising epidemic not only in The United States, but all around the world. Child abandonment affects the mother, but more importantly,
The amount of care a newborn child needs is immense, in some cases this is like a full-time job. Parents who are not able to give this nurturing to their child negatively affect the overall well-being of the child. Most emotional and psychological problems arise from the way a child was taken care of from birth all the way through adolescence. However, not every pregnant woman is able to provide for her child due to finances, relationship stability, age, living conditions or
The babies need their mother to be eating nutritional diet, so that they are developing correctly.
Mothers also sacrifices their time, wants and desire to benefit their child, they serve as protection and stability for their children. Mothers build up the strength in their children to make them fulfill their goals, and to be a better citizen.
Other than that, your children may have the same age with your new friends, so parent may set up a play date to provide your children a chance to socialize with others. Parenting classes are also a good way to get recommendations for nutritionist, doctor and child psychologist. Some parent may discuss on the skills like changing a diaper, bathing and swaddling. An infant normally will reach certain milestone like rolling over, sitting up, crawling and standing. While all children develop at different rates, parent may share the experience to each other when the milestone will be occurred. When parent realize infant is not reaching a milestone, parent should take attention to consult with pediatrician. As normal, most of the infant grow with the average speed. According to Dr. Jay Hoecker (2016), from birth to age 6 months, a baby may grow 1/2 to 1 inch (about 1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) a month and gain 5 to 7 ounces (about 140 to 200 grams) a week. Expect your baby to double his or her birth weight by about age 5 months. From ages 6 to 12 months, a baby may grow 3/8 inch (about 1 centimeter) a month and gain 3 to 5 ounces (about 85 to 140 grams) a week. Expect your baby to triple his or her birth weight by about age 1 year. So parents may discuss on the weight gain of infant whether is in a standard range. Then, parent may concern each other, perhaps make a short trip with other parent to relax mind. After relaxing, parent may more energize to take care of their
The mother-infant bond is the familiarity and attachment a mother forms with her offspring. These helpless babies are reliant on their mother’s nurture for survival. This dependence reaches farther than a physiological need. Infants rely on their mothers for a wide variety of demands. The mother-infant bond is critical to maximizing the fitness of each individual, as well as the growth of the species.
Everyone knows that being a mother is not and easy job, especially those who have the right to be called “mother”. Women who are gifted with the miracle of giving birth are gifted too with an enormous job of guiding a person’s life. Moms are always known for being there always, breaking the obstacles with their sons and making them learn from their own mistakes. Being a mom is a hard work and sometimes they suffer from abuse from their sons or family members for just wanting the best for them.
The first area to review is the previous weight of mothers at the time of their last menstruation. The weight of the mother prior to pregnancy provides insight to her previous health and the available calories the body has available prior to pregnancy. Proper weight gain during pregnancy is an important variable and for mothers who are already considered underweight weight gain is even more crucial for the baby. “The growing evidence of social and emotional problems for low birth weight children cannot be dismissed (Weiss, & et al., 2001).” Studies have shown that low birth weight impacts the child’s development over the years especially social and emotional growth of the child, including behavioral problems (Weiss, & et al., 2001).
Experimental data suggest that the past experiences of the mother are a major determinant in molding her care-giving role. Children use adults, especially loved and powerful adults, as models for their own behaviour. Children development literature, states that the powerful process of imitation or modelling socially inclines children. Kennell and Klaus explain that unless adults consciously and painstakingly reexamine these learned behaviours, they will unconsciously repeat them when they become parents (Kennell and Klaus 11). Thus the way a woman was raised, which includes the practices of her culture and the individual idiosyncrasies of her own mother's child raising practices greatly influences her behaviour toward her own infant. Bob Brazelton in The Early Mother-Infant Adjustment says that, "It may seem to many that attachment to a small baby will come naturally and to make too much of it could be a mistake... but there are many, many women who have a difficult time making this adjustment...(Brazelton 10). He points out that we must understand the ingredients of attachment in order to help, because each mother-child dyad is unique and has individual needs of it's own (Brazelton 12).
