Donald trump has no experience in the world of politics whatsoever, but he is the president of his own company that made him one of the wealthiest people in America.

Let’s get the most prominent and most talked about candidate out of the way, Donald Trump. I should first say that I am not a fan by any means. With this being said, I tried to watch the debates with an open mind and tried to look solely at his leadership style. I found Trump to be very defensive, childish, inappropriate, and all over the place. During the debates he loved to talk about how great he is; mentioning four times about his endorsements, about his great friends, and his wealth. Needless to say, he was not able to sway me. I will admit, Trump has extreme confidence. This is a great quality. However, he might just be too confident. It comes off as arrogant. Confidence is great to a certain degree, but it can also get you in trouble. He feels he is the best and everyone would listen to him because he is “Donald Trump”. He is so egotistical. There was one question asked about how Trump would order the military to target families of suspected terrorist after the military testifying the expansive use of torture is inexcusable and will refuse orders because they are illegal. His response: “They won’t refuse; they won’t refuse, believe me”.

Presidential elections are an important aspect of U.S. history. This year is probably one of the more interesting ones since Donald Trump, an entertainer, is running for president even though he has no experience with politics. He has plans to remove troops from the middle east and has other military plans for the middle east that does not involve troops being there. On this frightening night, millions of people watched America’s worst nightmare unfold right in front of their own eyes. Donald J. Trump the islamophobic, xenophobic, misogynistic, homophobic, sexist, racist bigot defeated Hilary Clinton and became the 45th President of the United States of America. The job of a President should not be taken lightly. The behavior of the political opponents is a disgrace. Donald Trumps goes against everything American. I am afraid of a lot of things, I am a very anxious person, my mind creates fearsome things all on it’s own. Last night, after I learned of the election results, I was afraid. Not disappointed, not dissatisfied, but genuinely afraid. I didn’t watch the election closely, neither me nor my parents were eligible to vote this year. I didn’t know much about either candidates or their policies, everything I know about this election came from things I heard from my parents, my friends, and random articles that I stumbled on by accident. Mostly I heard about scandals surrounding the election, naturally. And I heard a lot about Donald Trump, the way he talked about women, Latinos, African Americans, immigrants and all other minorities made it really surprising, at least for me, that he was able to go as far as he did in the election.

In today’s society it is noticed that in the most recent presidential elections, specifically the upcoming election in November, there are candidates that uphold little to no political experience. Some examples of candidates like this would be Donald Trump, a businessman who can carry out negotiations well regarding the economy however, his views can be seen as extremely conservative and violent towards other races and sexes, and Ben Carson, a neurosurgeon who is well educated and is able to speak clearly to the American public but is currently dropping in the polls. Also current President Barack Obama had actually began running for president after only being a new senator in Illinois for quite a short period of time, four years to be exact.

Donald Trump was elected president of the United States of America on November 8th, 2016, and now has been running our country for over a year. As Trump’s first year in office slowly began, his reputation seems to be creating different outside views of our nation and arguments started producing everywhere. After competing with Hillary Clinton for the presidential term in office, Trump defeated her along with her democratic supporters causing one of the most shocking elections in U.S. history.
