Overview At the Southern Steakhouse, Hamilton location, two employees - Barbra Taber and Michelle Rhodes - have had three distinct, unreported drink conflicts throughout the month of July 2002 due to internal competition. Each one of these conflicts resulted in unhappy customers which is not ideal since the Southern Steakhouse is seeking to raise revenue. On Saturday July 13th, Michelle Rhodes had drinks, taking on average, 10 minutes to be made by Barbra Taber. On the same evening, Rhodes noticed that all other tables were served drinks before hers even though she entered her orders into the computer before the other servers. As Michelle Rhodes attempted to talk with Barbra Taber about the situation, Taber unprofessionally remarked, “I

This case was a very significant ruling for special education evident with numerous studies positing that the ruling of this 1982 case was perhaps the most important special education decision by the Supreme Court and to this day, continues to have a profound effect on the education of students with disabilities. Additionally, this was the first time that the Supreme Court had to interpret portions of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA 1990), which was then the Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EAHCA) as it relates to what constituted a free and appropriate education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment (LRE).
In order to offer a viable platform in which restaurants can offer alcoholic beverages as part of their drink line, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has created a set of guidelines which establishments must utilize in order to initiate a more responsible service to the community. According to the TABC guidelines (2014) these guidelines should clear following national, state, and local laws when offering alcohol to patrons, such as ensuring that alcoholic beverage is only served to those over age 21 (checked if they appear to be under 30), a valid Texas driver’s license, or another valid identification must be used, and employees must refuse service to anyone that does not fit these criteria. However, there are also TABC guidelines (2014) which are state defined, such as the need to refuse service to anyone that appears to be intoxicated, prohibit employees from serving customers to the point of intoxication, offer mediation for intoxicated customers who wish to leave the premises in such a state, and adhere to the TABC certification regulations. A secondary goal, to this extent is also to meet the mixed beverage gross sales tax requirements at a rate of 6.7% after Jan.1, 2014 and 14% prior to Jan. 1, 2014, as well as the mixed beverage sales tax, which was implemented after Jan. 1, 2014. In order to draw more insight into the subject, the Olive Garden restaurant has looked up.
This is a more in-depth piece on the lawsuits made by veterans following the end of the Vietnam War. Claims started being made in 1977 after many veterans were experiencing health issues and having children born with birth defects. They reported the issues to the Department of Veteran Affairs for disability benefit, but the agency denied them of any help unless they could prove it was directly from serving in Vietnam or within a year after coming home. A case worker for the department, Maude De Victor, met a widow of a veteran who died from lung cancer and she believed her husband’s cancer was related to exposure to Agent Orange. De Victor started to ask other veterans about being exposed to Agent Orange and asking the Department of Defense,

On my first day, I quickly realized that Pinks and Purples was not only a tennis and golf store, but also a sweatshop. Swearing was so commonplace, for the employees and “The Boss,” that I felt as if I had stepped into a completely different world. It was as if I had travelled to a different country and everyone was speaking a foreign language. Replace that foreign language with constant profanity, and it was a whole new world. Once I learned to block out the profanity, I realized that swearing was not the only issue. My coworkers excessive drinking on the job sent me into a whirlwind. Some days my coworkers started drinking before noon and, frequently, offered drinks to the interns. Luckily, all of the interns had enough sense to say no. These

A Wal-Mart photo lab associate, Claude is facing a difficulty concerning attending his father’s major birthday dinner.( Brotheridge, C. 2005) Claude comes from a tight family, and he didn’t want to miss the celebration. Upon arrival, we waited in the queue for about 10 minutes, the weather was warm and we were all chatting therefore this time passed quickly. Once inside, we had to wait another 10 minutes at the bar in order to get a drink. The barmaid then messed up one of our orders, which meant another 10 minutes trying to get her attention to change it. This put us all in a bit of a bad mood as our night was just starting out and things already weren’t going smoothly, plus, we just wanted to get away from the crowded bar and wander around and have a dance. The barmaid however, was super apologetic and gave us a free shot each to compensate which meant she was completely forgiven as far as we were concerned!
