The battle for justice doesn’t end until it’s won, just as Sherlock Holmes completes his investigations. He lives in a city where he’s all alone, just like when turtles are born, they have to fight for survival. An exceptional martial artist like both Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee combined. His image is as dark as the center of a black hole, unable to be seen. He’s just like a diamond, you can throw it against the wall, the floor, or the ceiling, yet it’ll never break.
The world of a common superhero always starts off with their origin story, on how they earn their powers, and use that to save the world and humanity, but not all heroes could be as powerful as the one and only, Batman. We never stop and think that this superhero actually has no superpowers, yet he goes against villains like the Joker, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy, fights for justice and his origin story is like no other. He grows into the bat-masked hero we know today with the still image of his parents gunned down right in front of him, when he was at the age of realization that he will no longer have a family. A child that goes through such a tragic moment, it leaves an empty mind and heart just wanting to be filled. Batman’s background contains darkness and terrible memories that lead us to ponder, how does this experience fuel his thirst to become the hero of today. Batman’s life shows that the worst can happen, but there is always hope and that justice is served.

According to DC “ The crime would define his life, as he dedicated himself to becoming the world’s greatest weapon against crime—the Batman.” we can see that this traumatic event created his
His parents were murdered in front of his own eyes just for a few hundred bucks. It influenced his life and he seeked revenge. For several years, he traveled abroad learning several kinds of martial arts, but also learning how to make and use tech. Soon, he realized that revenge may have seemed right, but it really isn’t really However, there is one person who maybe even has 30% of that Batman attitude, and that is Squeaky, Hazel Elizabeth Deborah Parker from the story, “Raymond’s Run” by Toni Cade Bambara. Her parents are the kind that do not support her in her passion but she does not give up.
Batman: Year One is about Bruce Wayne’s beginning as becoming Batman. In the beginning of the comic book, Bruce has always known violence all of his life since he was a child. In the very beginning of the comic book, he witnessed a brutal cold violent act, his parents’ death that happened in front of his very eyes (21). That is one of the biggest contributing factors of who he is today as Bruce Wayne/Batman. As stated on pages 18 and 19, we see the first myth of “Crime Does Not Pay” (Carlson, Myths of Violence Discussion). The actions that are played into these pages are part of an injustice that is played upon Gotham City by the
Batman, having faced death numerous amounts of times, has become more than just a human. He is able to fight evil, like never before and he is rewarded, often by glorification.
Many of us consider Batman the emotionless dark knight, the one who fights crime under the cover of darkness, the one superhero to uses a fear factor to play in his role. What most people don’t see is his everything good that he stands for. As a child, Thomas and Martha Wayne were murdered during a mugging, right beside Bruce. Bruce was spared and the complications of that night would reach down, deep into his core lasting with him forever. Bruce uses this internal struggle as a way only to make him stronger and in that moment he instantly becomes the symbol to all of mankind as the growth of strength in the face of tragedy and despair. Throughout Batmans career, he fails on multiple occasion being beaten down mentally, emotionally, physically
While Batman was still Bruce Wayne, his parents were killed by a soon to be supervillain, this caused him to have an alternative motive to become a “hero.” For example Captain America fight crime and serves the city for the people not for his own benefit. Batman might seem like he is doing what hero is supposed to do, but he is merely trying to avenge his parents death. “ Police are perplexed, worried the group will turn into vigilantes and doubt that the superhero policy is ever stopped any crime,” (source A). This is the same with Batman; the police do not know what to make of him but are worried that he will get himself in trouble. Batman might seem like he is doing things for others, yet he does them for himself.
Imagine that you live in a society where masked vigilante heroes with superhuman capabilities exist pursuing the justice they believe to be rightful regardless of what the authority and rules dictates. It is just like watching or reading a popular superhero movie or story where the end always leaves you feeling happy.
The Good and the Bad of Batman (and Every Story Ever Written!) It is [the story], therefore, obviously the product of adolescent male power fantasies and wish–fulfillment. It is also, in this day-and-age, a potentially dangerous narrative that can be easily exploited as propaganda that supports the excesses of American imperialism and global capitalism.
Introduction What if you could fight crime without having any true superpowers? Well, that's what Batman does. Batman has a tragic background and also has many powers, enemies, weaknesses and strengths and a special outfit. Batman has an interesting background.
Committing himself to a life of seeking justice following his parent’s death it can be implied that Bruce Wayne channels himself into what Mara Weis refers to as the ‘Christ Complex’. Weis explains the Christ Complex as an “individual fixed on superiority and claim of being a savior” (Weis). Disregarding the obvious extreme of this which includes psychopathic murders, Weis claims there are varying ranges of ‘subtle conditions’. This addiction of subtle conditions can play into Bruce’s alternate identity by swearing to avenge his parent’s death and “rid Gotham of crime” (Origins). Bruce Channels this almost profound responsibility into his alter ego Batman which creates an image of superior stature. Weis confirms the logic by stating as one grows spiritually “development allows us to realize our full potential behind the innocence and loss of the child we once were”. (Weis??)
Bruce Wayne uses all of the strength he possesses in order to keep Batman from being free despite his relentless struggles to break free from the chains that keep him. The usage of dramatic lines the author uses and the constant shadows creates the imagery of captivity and the innermost thoughts and struggles that Bruce Wayne possesses deep inside. Cell bars represent the windows on the panels of this
The story of Batman is that of a man named Bruce Wayne with somewhat of a troubled past. He witnessed both of his parents’ death on the same eerie night. He was deeply affected by that night, as any child would be. On that specific night Bruce Wayne had his innocence ripped away from him and in the words of child psychiatrist Michael Brody, “A sense of trust in the world was lost” (173). That night triggered something deep inside of him, vengeance.
Both Batman and Batwoman are victims of crime and the pain and loss suffered from the criminal acts is their mutual driving force. Batman, at a young age, lost both of his parents in a robbery shootout. When the crime happened, he did not know what to do – he simply watched as his parents' bodies lay lifeless by the road. The image was forever imprinted on the boy's mind. He could not, no matter how hard he tried, to stop recounting the night he became an orphan. After school and running a successful business, Wayne feels that he is ready to give back to the city by fighting criminals.
Batman is one of the many fictional superheroes which appears in the “American comic books” that is published by the DC comics. The character is a secret identity for Bruce Wayne, the only heir to Wayne Enterprises. Bruce Wayne swore an oath of vengeance when he witnessed the death of his parents;Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne (Diamond, 2015). Bat man combats criminals in Gotham: a fictional city, with assistance from various characters, for example, his butler Alfred and Gordon; Gotham city police commissioner. Unlike many of the superheroes characters, Batman possesses no powers .Bruce Wayne trained himself intellectually and physically .it is from dedication to training he possessed the useful traits of physical prowess, martial arts skills, detective skills and indomitable will to fight for justice. Though his motive is to combat crime and protect people of Gotham city from criminals, the justice system in most of the times views Batman as a villain and vigilante. He can inflict fear to Gotham city criminals thereby bringing calmness to the city. I identify myself with the Batman character through his selfless will for justice, his strong determination to do good
He was a hero, a hero to us all. He was quite the creature, a creature of pure goodness, yet his appearance screamed off evil. His face was bat-like, symbolizing how people thought of him. As a child, he wasn’t given much, he survived on burnt toast and scraps of dry chicken. One day, his mother returned from the overworld – a world nobody must speak of. She gave him a Batman comic book. “Look,” she said, “Being like a bat isn’t so bad.” That was the last that he saw of his mother. Seven years later at the age of 15, his father told him to do the daily chores. Quickly, the teenager grabbed the rusty shovel and a garden hose. He went outside. Turning to the igniter on the hose, he turned it on. Out spewed a gallon or so of pure lava. The flowers
In contrast, Batman was born to wealthy reality owners in Gotham City (some say Gotham is Chicago, others say New York, no one knows for sure). At approximately seven years old Bruce was walking home with his parents after watching The Mask of Zorro, and they were mugged by a small time thief named Joe Chill. Only Two people walked away from that mugging, Bruce and Joe. Bruce had witnessed his parents' death and would traumatized and full of vengeance for the rest of
