Goals are set in place within a person's life in order to keep track of progress towards both personal and financial success. Goals are usually made after a person finds something that they are passionate about and wants to pursue. Becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner would be my ultimate career goal. In order to reach that goal I have set a few educational goals of completing by bachelor's of social work at Coppin State University by the Summer of 2017, completing my associates of the arts degree in nursing from Howard Community College by Spring 2019, and completing my bachelor's of science in nursing degree by Spring 2021. One of the most important and obvious reasons of having a college education is to increase your earning potential. With a higher education and a broader skill set, individuals who earn a college education will earn more than individuals who only have their high school diploma. A college education can provide more job opportunities, greater employee benefits, job satisfaction, job stability, and possible benefits for your children. My mom is an employee at Maryland state University, which gave my brother and I the opportunity to receive free tuition for the Maryland state schools we attended. College education needs to be advocated for because it is truly beneficial to any individual. In some cases, a person with a college degree still has a hard time finding a great job.
