Out of all of the forms of government, the best form of government is a democracy. It is the best because the leader is elected by the people, the people have rights, and laws are voted on by the people. The first reason that democracies are the best form of government is because of the leaders. Take the United States of America for instance. The President is elected for a 4 year term unless he is re-elected for another term with a two term limit. The President is elected by the people of America by voting on the candidate that they want to be the President.
The second reason that democracies are the best form of government is because of the rights that the people get. Some rights in the United States of America include the
All systems of government have their advantages and disadvantages. I have no preference over the different types of
Every form of government is bound to have some shortfalls. Different people have different views about the various political systems. But in today's world, democracy is considered to be the best form of government, reason being that people are treated equally and have full rights to live a life of their liking. Unlike a Oligarchy government is not considered to be a
A democratic republic, while it is definitely the better system, is closer to tyranny than a pure democracy. Little would get done if everything was a vote, however, no one would ever do something tyrannical. There is a lot more corruption and tyranny in the republic system because certain people gain power when in a pure democracy, everyone has the same power and will be able to have an input on everything. However, a pure democracy would be very inefficient, putting everything to a vote would take forever and there would be a lot of disputes. A democratic republic gives the power to the people without being inefficient.
Athens of ancient Greece had perhaps the most advanced system of government of the ancient world. The system of Athens was called a Democracy. That is, every citizen voted on everything. People have claimed that the United States is also a Democracy. This is not true. The government of the United States is a Constitutional Republic (Every). United States citizens vote for representatives, who then vote on the laws. They themselves are limited by a constitution. Democracy is a flawed government system. The Constitutional Republic is also flawed, however, it is better at safeguarding individual rights, when applied correctly. Therefore, a Constitutional Republic is a better system than a Democracy.
Aristotle says that justice is thought of as equality among all, there is a disregard to merit (p.172). In a society, there is usually more poor people and because there is this demand of equality then the majority rule (p.174). Mob rule is then authoritative. All governments have their forms, which are good and are bad. Democracy to Aristotle is not the best regime because it is ruled by the poor or the ones that need from the government. Government is not chosen by those who pursue virtue, but instead pursue wealth. The democratic principle is that of freedom, wealth, and birth. Not virtue. He believes the best regime would not be exactly a democracy but a polity that would be a combination of freedom, wealth, birth and virtue. The best regime has ideal conditions in which it becomes a predictable regime and consists of values, choices, the inanimate, elements of the class of workers, and the education of rulers. Democracy has a big defect in that it does not have intelligence or wisdom. It is the rule of many. It is based on the idea of happiness by following pleasures (p.48). Democracy comes into play when the majority revolt against the oligarchy because of the ideas of freedom. The problem with it is that people are pursuing their pleasures, not thinking of the state as a whole. There is unity based on pleasure. Before long, everyone is pursuing their own pleasures and there is an undermining of authority
The United States government was carefully constructed by the founding fathers to not create a monarchy or a pure democracy. The constitution maintains a choice of the people, but is able to maintain a constant presence of government, unaffected by people. The Republic that they created is an excellent for a government for the people and the health of the country.
In today's society people elect representatives because those representatives defend people ideas and have solutions to people needs. The fact of been able to elect any representative make our society a democracy because we are free to elect who we want and everyone has the opportunity to express their opinion by voting for a representative. Also this voting process is do every certain time and representatives can be reelected a certain amount of time, giving the opportunity to everyone to be a representative. Furthermore, people have also options to change a representative during his/her tern if the representative does not show competence and responsibility at his/her job.
What is the best form of government? Indirect democracy is the best form of government because you get a say in what laws are passed, no one person can have too much power, and the public can choose who their leader is.
The best government is a constitutional monarchy . In this government there is not big fights about politics.Constitutional monarchy is the best, because there is not a problem about politics, you have a constitution, and you still get to vote for some of your leaders.
This paper is a summary of bigger government and the reason they matter to the nation and, thus, supporting the debate that bigger governments are better governments. According to Conn (2012) in the article “Central Government: 13 Reasons Why Big Government Matters” published in the Huffington Post, bigger governments are better. The article describes how one of the most important improvements in America’s infrastructure was the roads. The landscape, which was hard and difficult to penetrate made it impossible to travel, hence the people lived in the same community. The federal government funded the first roads to be built in America. Also, canals, sponsored by the government, encouraged the connection
Democracy is a form of government in which all eligible citizens have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives. Democracy allows eligible citizens to participate equally—either directly or through elected representatives—in the proposal, development, and creation of laws. It encompasses social, economic and cultural conditions that enable the free and equal practice of political self-determination.

Democratic Government – this is the government for the poor and needy and not a government for common good. This to Aristotle is the best form of government but it can degenerate into demagogue and anarchy
As societies steadily increased in size and numbers, having good government became a necessity.. The type of government varied from place to place and from time to time, like the Greek government was a democracy whereas the Roman government was a republic whereas the Persian and Chinese governments were usually monarchies. Some governments collapsed due to riots and revolts against the government which exhibited bad governance. During the time period between 2200 BCE and 700 CE, the perceptions of good governments were dependent upon a variety of reasons such as being a just and fair ruler, the power of the government, and the loyalty of the common people.
Throughout history different types of instrumental regimes have been in tact so civilizations remained structured and cohesive. As humanity advanced, governments obligingly followed. Although there have been hiccups from the ancient times to modern day, one type of government, democracy, has proven to be the most effective and adaptive. As quoted by Winston Churchill, democracy is the best form of government that has existed. This is true because the heart of democracy is reliant, dependent, and thrives on the populaces desires; which gives them the ability for maintaining the right to choose, over time it adjusts and fixes itself to engulf the prominent troubling issues, and people have the right of electing the person they
