As we look back on history we can see that human beings have made great strides as well as suffered many setbacks in our development of fundamental doctrines and/or beliefs by which we live and view the world. These foundational beliefs have provided the framework for which all civilizations preserve, cooperate, and govern their way of life. Certainly throughout history, the spread of Christian theology and doctrine has been influential in establishing and developing a deeply rooted theistic and biblical worldview foundation; thus being the center of much debate. In light of the various views within Christian theology, we will focus specifically on doctrine that is foundational to the Christian

Our worldview is how we interpret reality and what we believe to be true. Our worldview evolves over time as our life experiences shape how we approach life. According to Ronald Nash, a biblical worldview is defined as “Human beings and the universe in which they reside are the creation of God who has revealed himself in Scripture” (Faith and Reason, 1988, pg. 47). When you believe the Bible is true, then it will be the foundation of everything you say and do. As I watched the movie “A River Runs Through It” the worldview that the film portrays was evident. It was easy to pick up on the worldviews of the characters.

When one looks at the world through a Biblical lens, they lay a foundation for becoming an agent of change, standing apart from society and pointing others towards Christ. A truly Biblical worldview is one which results in the believer honoring Christ and clearly set apart from the world. Every worldview has a set of underlying assumptions which influence how one sees the world, and a Biblical worldview is no different. What is different is that these assumptions can be tied back to Christ. This fundamental difference results in those who hold a Biblical worldview being truly separate from the secular world, pointing towards Christ as they live out a life aimed solely at glorifying Him. In Romans 1-8, Paul supplies Christians with a set of assumptions regarding the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and culture, creating the foundation of the transformative Biblical worldview. Each of these leads to modern implications which can be derived from scripture.

Everyone has a Worldview. “A collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by an individual or a group.” (1) Some have a Biblical Worldview. A Biblical Worldview is founded on the word of God. It is how a Christian views the world. Both belief systems are equally important to each individual, but there are differences in the way they view the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and culture.

Every individual has their own personal worldview despite their race, religion, sex and age. One’s worldview is that particular person’s own perception and how that person shapes their beliefs concerning the world around them. The framework of one’s worldview is what personally defines that person’s reality. One’s worldview is important because one’s perceptions and principles dictate one’s actions. A biblical worldview are values, perspectives and principles that are biblically based. Values, principles and perspectives shape and mold how decisions are made in one’s life. Having a biblical worldview helps to govern one’s lifestyle to be a reflection of God. Those who have a biblical worldview have the belief that humans were put on earth to be the image of God, therefore we should shape our behaviors to be like Him. A biblical worldview can only be established by the investigation of information provided by the Bible to determine truth and principles that ultimately shapes one’s conduct. The purpose of education is to guide humans into their purpose in life. The Christian philosophy of education helps create a platform for biblical truth and principles to be investigated for the purpose of transmitting

What we could not do for ourselves Jesus went to the cross to do for us.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. “Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters” (Gen 1:1-2). Paul states in Romans 1:20 that Gods invisible attributes, eternal power, and divine nature are clearly understood by the visible things that God has made in this world. God’s redeemed, should show a concern for the care of nature. Nature suffers because it is a casualty of sin, not because it is naturally evil. The world should anticipate a time when God shall deliver creation from the wrath of sin (8:19, 21). Nature “waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed” (8:19). 133

My worldview is a Christian world view that houses biblical principles. This worldview impacts all areas of my life. It impacts the calling on my life, the way I view marriage and family and how I should live my personal life. A Christian worldview seeks to inform its subscribers of three facts, biblically: 1) We are God’s creation, designed to manage the world and be in fellowship with Him, according to Genesis 1:27-28; 2:15. 2) According to Genesis 3, we sinned against God and subjected the whole world to a curse, and because of it we live in a fallen world.

Introduction It is a necessity to have the mindset in order to develop a Biblical Worldview. By having a Biblical Worldview, it allows people the opportunity to relinquish opinionated thoughts of the world and God himself. A person’s life is solely based off of the principle of philosophy in which includes developing an accurate Biblical Worldview. Romans Chapter 1-8 expresses several areas in which a proper Biblical worldview can be determined which includes: the natural world, human identity, and human relationships, and culture.

Biblical Worldview Every person, regardless of his/her age, sex, religion, ethnicity and other such differences have a worldview. A worldview is a framework based on how we view reality and make sense of life and the world around us. A person who has a Biblical worldview may believe that God exists to love and serve. Everyone on earth has some type of worldview.

In the present day and all throughout time there have been many questions concerning man’s origin, identity, meaning, morality, and destiny; the makeup of one’s worldview. While many theories have been suggested many never are able to clearly answer all, if any, of these concerns. However, there is a book with flawless, strong, relevant and important applicable truth to our everyday life; the Bible. While the Bible is very sizeable and seemingly hard to read the book of Romans answers these inquiries in a simple and understandable manner. Romans 1-8 specifically tells us about the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and culture. Truly changing anyone’s worldview.

This paper will delve into a greater understanding of the following questions. What is the meaning of Worldview? What is meant by each of the four primary aspects of the Biblical worldview: creation, the fall, redemption and restoration? How does free enterprise comport with or reject creation, the fall, redemption, and restoration? How does socialism comport with or reject creation, the fall, redemption, and restoration? How does progressivism support or reject Biblical Worldview?

It is extremely important to understand the worldview of the person (or people group) to whom the gospel is being preached because each people group has their own way of seeing the world (hence the label worldview). That view of the world includes cultural identity as well as social and prejudicial barriers. These barriers are what can cause an entire people group to become isolated (even if they speak the same language). Hawthorne explains, “The reason many do not follow Christ is not that evangelists can’t get to them but that people can’t find ways to belong to a church fellowship without losing their cultural identity.” Discussing the problem further, Winter and Koch discuss, “The church cannot grow within peoples where relevant churches do not exist.”

Dr. Elmer Towns and his co-author Ben Gutierrez in their book “In Essence of the New Testament: A Survey” supports the idea and the importance of all Christians grasping the knowledge put forth in the book of Romans. Biblical educators such as Samuel Coleridge and Martin Luther holds Paul’s epistle to the Romans in high esteem (Towns & Gutierrez, 2012). They refer to as “the most profound work in existence and “the purest gospel (Towns & Gutierrez, 2012). These claims are evident when reading Paul’s epistles in the book of Romans, one can feel Jesus Christ’s inspiration in his words and message. In Romans 1:6 -7
