For this investigation I am going to research on bringing Kumon Math Center into Vietnam. Kumon Math, as its name, Kumon provides a program in which students will have the chance to improve their mathematical skills, from the basic one to the advanced level. It is available for students from all ages to join.
Vietnam is a great potential market to invest in. Since Vietnam has the policies of searching for oversea investment, it has been an attractive market for many foreign companies.
The economy and industry there are in the developing process, which means that they are lack of investments from outside. Moreover, the educational system has been focusing a lot on natural science subjects such as math and other ones which also involve in math (physics, chemistry, biology).
This is the point that I want to exploit from, open up an education center in a country which is always looking for outside investments and focusing highly on the education for young generation should be reasonable and fit in.
Kumon Math & Reading Centers: Kumon, the math Center established by a Japanese math teacher whose name is Toru Kumon (the Center is named after him). This is an education center where students will have a chance to improve their mathematical skills. It doesn’t have official teaching programs as private or public schools do, here students are taught from the beginner math to math advance, depends on how students are mastered at a level, school will move him to the
Assess the significance of three factors which might limit economic development in the developing countries.
The Canadian system of education, especially during secondary school years, focuses too heavily on math and sciences. This system is evident not only in Canada but also in many countries around the globe. One of the more common arguments given to support this system is that jobs in the scientific fields are in high demand and so we must train students to eventually fulfill these demands. Although this is not incorrect in theory, it should not be seen as a valid argument to support this current system of education. Secondary schools today are requiring students to learn about subjects that will have little to no benefit in their future. For example, in response to the aforementioned
Natural sciences entail subjects such as biology, chemistry, and physics, whereas formal sciences include mathematics. Although the subjects which teach computer skills, business skills, and world awareness are offered at most universities, they are not required classes, even though they are quickly becoming necessary skills in the world. The liberal arts standard curriculum needs to be adjusted to overcome the gap which exists between what students are expected to know and understand and what they are actually taught.
22) Math Dadd Tutoring, out of Las Vegas Nevada, applies learning concepts that helps students grasp mathematical understandings, while building confidence in the process. Customers have stated that Math Dadd has been an excellent role model for their kids and have helped them pass both the ACT and SAT tests with flying colors!
The math focuses more on the figuring out angles triangles it has a lot of Pre Cal in it. Dealing with the Unit Circle, and has some physics in it. Finding the mass, volume, solving for potential energy and kinetic energy. Just about in every event there is some type of math problem. The math also helps with the Engineering Process when deciding how much or how long something needs to be Engineering and Math comes together. An example that math is used a lot in one of the events is Chemistry the math part that I have seen frequently asked questions is balancing chemical equations which isn’t very hard but sometimes they equations can get very
In my schooling, I studied subjects that include science along with mathematics which helped me to develop awareness in the above courses.
Before granting independence, Vietnam economy was going down rapidly due to the war with American that destroyed the Vietnam economy completely. Moreover, this country was being led by the Conservative Party which was unchangeable and not able to lead the country. Instead of trading with foreign countries, they closed market. However, after national liberation, the Conservative Party was removed, and new prime minister was chosen. The economy of Vietnam was opened, and it took big steps to thrive as now. Especially the globalization, since Vietnam joined the World Trade Organization, the globalization has made a huge change to Vietnam economy. It attracted a lot of foreign investments, solved numerous financial issues, and motivated domestic

Upon careful review and analysis of the current situation of the Kumon Institute USA it is clear that there are several problems that should be addressed in order for Kumon Institute to succeed in the US market. Although Kumon has been in existence in the US for 10 years now, you have still not implemented a corporate global strategy which will allow for success in the US. You’re currently operating in the same manner as is the Japanese operations, and as a result the same business level strategy that worked in Japan will not provide the same results in the US. Any company seeking expansion at the multinational level must implement a strategy based on analysis of the local

Moreover, the population of the country is young (the 50% has 21 years or less) well educated and hard-working and accept low wages.
This case study addresses issues associated with change management via a needs analysis in an effort to identify and implement new instructional approaches to improve a middle school math course in a K-12 setting.
The primary principle expressed by Vasquez is the focus on integration. Vasquez(2013) states, “that combining two or more of the disciplines helps students see the relatedness of the concepts tying together seemingly disjointed blocks of information”(p.22). The yearly pacing of science instruction shapes integration of the four disciplines. Science instruction occurs primarily during the third and fourth quarter. A brief unit on magnetism takes place at the beginning of the second quarter. Additionally, the emphasis on number sense and computation during this period is less conducive to integration than the
Mathematics, like every creation of man, have evolved without really knowing how far you can get with them: the scope of the computer, physics, chemistry, algebra, all are evidence of this. Every aspect of our culture is based in some way or another in Mathematics: language, music, dance, art, sculpture, architecture, biology, daily life. All these areas of measurements and calculations are accurate. Even in nature, everything follows a precise pattern and a precise order: a flower, a shell, a butterfly, day and night, the seasons. All this makes mathematics essential for human life and they can not be limited only to a matter within the school curriculum; here lies the importance of teaching math in a pleasure, enjoyable and understandable way. Mathematics is an aid to the development of the child and should be seen as an aid to life and not as an obstacle in their lifes.
Research has shown that Chinese students generally score better on math tests than American students do at various grade levels especially in secondary schools. The National Science Foundation reports that in 2008, “43 percent of all Chinese bachelor’s degrees were awarded in the natural sciences and engineering. In the same year, the share in the United States was just 5 percent” (Yang, 2012). Students’ math knowledge before university has a great influence in students’ decision of choosing majors for future careers and their performance in the university pursuing math-intensive majors such as math, statistics, engineering, or physical sciences bachelor’s degrees. Even though some of the American students outperform in math and make great contributions to science and economy, the achievement gap that indicates problems in math curriculum should be deal with properly. Research shows that he math performance of the United States worsened over time period in recent years (Jacob, 2013). Comparative study on American and Chinese math teaching and learning in secondary school is conducted to find out what factors lead to the current situation that American students fall behind in math performance while Chinese students stand out. Despite of innate differences in American and Chinese students, researchers have found that teaching methods, learning environment, education policy, attitudes
