Dear Management Staff of Brockway Dining Hall,
As a greatly motivated member of the Brockway Dining Hall staff, I am very interested in possibly becoming a supervisor.
In high school, I had a job since sophomore year and continued all the way until senior year. My past managers have always found me hardworking and a natural leader in the workplace. I feel that my previous jobs have given me many capabilities that can help me with being a supervisor.
I have held numerous leadership roles, such as being captain of the volleyball team all four years of high school. I believe that having this experience demonstrates my ability to be a leader in a group of my peers. I also was an orientation leader for three years where I was showing new students the ins and outs of our school. This experience will help me when I would be training new employees.

When there is nothing to do at my station, I will either ask my supervisor if they need help or even find something that needs attention on my own.
Overall, I feel that my past experiences along with how I have shown my work abilities over the past few months demonstrate that I would be an excellent candidate to become a new supervisor.
I would like to personally thank you for considering me for this job.
Thank you in advance,
Madeline
A leadership experience in what I positively influence others and helped resolve disputes was Link Crew. Link Crew is a program where we help incoming freshmen to high school and show them around school and help them out on anything they need like homework. When I was a link crew leader I helped many kids who had low grades. While I was in this program I noticed that many kids had low grades and didn't turn in work or even their homework I did my best and talked to them about how they will struggle so much to get there credits later on some kids listen and did all their work where they at least passed their classes with a D or C. I had people who I got to meet during this I communicated with many people who joined this program and helped many kids. Students who come to high school think it will be very easy like in middle school but it will get harder each year. Many times I was helping the students I feel like It influenced them to work harder and be better in school and help each other in some ways. Link Crew was such a good program that it was where others students helped other students. I showed many leadership experience by joining this program.
The President of the Student Council. The drum major of the marching band. The founder of the biggest club at school. All of these positions involve organizing, interacting with, and motivating a large amount of people and just scream “LEADERSHIP!” However, this wasn’t the right kind of leadership for me; I’m not the type to get up and speak in front of a big group of people or give grandiose motivational speeches, but I still wanted to be helpful to others nonetheless.
My first leadership opportunity was to teach a cosmetology course at my high school. I focused on teaching the girls the aspects of cosmetology that they find appealing while still getting them to learn the less exciting aspects of the course. This allowed me to create a trip to the local senior center so that the girls could learn first hand how to do certain skills and to really perfect their abilities in a controlled environment. I currently teach cosmetology 15, 25 and 35.
I believe I have many leadership skills and experiences. I am currently the Vice President of the Red Cross Club, and the Historian of Club MED. In addition, I have volunteered to be a leader in Vacation Bible School and an assistant in Korean School. Lastly, I act as a leader also in the classrooms assisting students in subjects that I feel confidant. Being a leader allow me to learn many technical skills and improves my communication with others. It required many responsibility and patient. Yet, I suppose being a leader has made me an optimistic
I have been involved in many leadership activities that have built up my character and helped guide me to be the hardworking person I am today. One of my leadership experiences was being a room leader at The Altoona Kids Cafe over the summer. Altoona Kids Cafe is a program that allows children to have a place to eat and a safe environment to spend time in. This gave me the opportunity to not only give to kids in need, but to also teach these children how hard work allows one to succeed. Without being a hard worker, I would not be able to maintain a 3.6 GPA and I would not be able to be a classroom leader.
I have had many accomplishments and times of leadership. Some leadership roles I have participated in are: being Deacons Quorum President, Senior Patrol Leader, Band, Cross Country, “Teacher’s PET” in 5th grade, and Basketball. Some achievements I’ve accomplished are: being #1 on the reading hall of fame in 5th grade, had 4 Band concerts, gone to Scout Camp and helped with eagle projects, been to 7 Cross Country meets, and been on 3 Basketball teams.
I have had many different situations in which I was a leadership role for many people from different backgrounds such as, Relay for Life, high school football and basketball captain, and little league baseball and softball umpire. From those experiences, I have gained the knowledge that being positive is very important.
I have not had many leadership roles because I do not seek them. That said the few roles I have had have always been particularly important. I have worked in the Registrar’s Office for Mrs.
I have demonstrated leadership in a several different ways. During middle school, I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. In fact, I gave up a majority of my study halls to help out the advisor. I am currently a captain of my fall sport. Because I hold this position, I help the underclassmen during games, encourage them, and resolve conflicts. In addition to that, I used to be a teacher’s assistant to a second grade religious education class. Next year, I plan to join student government and maintain leadership positions.
I work to develop strong relationships with the students that I supervising offering them support yet challenging them to grow and learn as professionals. I pride myself on developing staff members and holding them to a high level of accountability. Supervision is a skill that I excel at. Not only do I have a strong background in working with students, I also am a strong programmer and event planner. I have planned may small scale and large scale programs. I am currently the conference co-chair for the Wisconsin College Personnel Association and have worked in this role for the past two years planning the fall
Although I have been on the tennis team for two years, there is more of myself that you may not know. Besides tennis, I participate in gymnastics and Track. For track, I am a pole vaulter and hurdler. I lettered last year for Varsity. As for other leadership roles, I was a WEB leader which helped incoming sixth graders while I was in eighth grade. During that time, I learned how to organize events and become more social. For this reason, I love to include others and make sure no one feels as though they aren part
College. When most people hear that word, they think of the great times they had or are going to have. A lot of people create memories during college, like, the friends a person makes, the people that you meet, and the adventures you have. However, some people don’t mention the not so great aspects of headed off to college, such as, a student possibly going through home sickness, or getting sick. Everyone will have a different experience when they decide to go to college and the dining hall can be a big influence on the student’s lives. The dining hall plays a very important role in the health of students who eat in the dining hall, the money that each stakeholder needs to manage, and a student’s social interaction and the social aspect of
“Fuester von Volfnam, the council has spoken and has found you guilty of constant incidents of misuse of you power. In the beginning your efforts contributed much , but overtime, your mistreatment of the Shtejlni under your care has served not to better, but worsen our country. Therefore your title as Master of Hospitality is hereby forever stripped from you.”
Hospitality can be a wide range of different jobs that can be found in travel, food, entertainment, and lodging. I find hospitality in the entertainment industry to be the most interesting. Depending on what kind of job it is, you can work with artists or actors, front of house or back of house. Everyday will be different. There are so many different routes you can take with hospitality, which is why I am interested in it.
With time-shortage becoming a characteristic feature of everyone’s daily life, quick-service is rapidly becoming a necessity of every industry. Even the dining industry is exploring creative and innovative technology systems to ensure the availability of quick- service restaurants and food outlets that are able to engage customers in many effective ways, taking advantage of data like never before and thus driving sales in the right direction.
