JavaNet Internet Café is the first of its kind located in Eugene, Oregon. The goal of the company is to broaden the community’s accessibility to affordable Internet through social interaction and entertainment. JavaNet is the creation of University of Oregon graduate Cale Bruckner. Cale has business degrees in both Marketing and Management. His level of expertise also includes product development, product marketing, team management, resource allocation, human resources management, and business content development. Cale wrote the business plan for JavaNet Internet Café in 1995 and is currently the vice president of Product Development for Palo Alto Software Incorporated. …show more content…

Threats – * Will the company be able to sustain changes and advances in technology * The company will need to change and adapt according to customer needs * Can the company compete with the leading coffee distributors in the area * The cost of Internet access increasing * Competing computer companies offering a better product * Enough first year revenues to sustain the company for the following year * Competitors with the same initiative coming into the area * Home Internet access becoming more popular
Technology is constantly changing therefore; the company will need to keep up with new advancements and upgrades to both the computer product offered and changes within the Internet. Customer needs may change as technology changes; the company will need to honor those changes in an effort to maintain customer loyalty. The coffee product offered will need to vary often in order for the business to keep up with the latest trend in coffee and pastries. Considering the Internet is an ever-changing environment and the cost of Internet access is constantly in question, the business will need to maintain a competitive edge in pricing Internet use. Revenues for the first year of business will need to be substantial enough to carry the business through the following year.
