#10. How do you feel about the CASA program? What parts of it do you particularly like? Dislike? Why? What did/do you enjoy most about your time in CASA?
I think the CASA program is in a development phase but it has a great goal in mind. I like how students are required to do at least two structured projects per semester to cover our curriculum rather than tests. Another thing I like about CASA is that we have the opportunity to pick any problem we saw (or we thought of ourselves during our projects) and we can use the design process to do our best to find a practical solution. We can think of an idea in our head and as long as we can put it onto paper to justify it, we can get ahold of materials we need to create/innovate it, along with

For example Before I started programming my hand, I made simple things like a grams to pounds calculator and a program that would solve the pythagorean theorem given the user's input values. This ultimately expanded my knowledge very far in something I had never even tried before, therefore why I think I had the most improvement here.
#7. When you consider the rest of your life, what did you learn in CASA that will be useful to you in the future.
I have learned more advanced troubleshooting skills and software basics. I have also learned how I can interact with members of my community to help me solve problems I run into on my way to a solution to a problem. These things will help me in my future because being a good problem solver is a well sought after trait in possible employees so that will allow me to market myself better as a person when trying to get a good job, along with the possible benefits it could mean for the company while i'm working there. It also gave me the opportunity to exercise my interpersonal skills by being able to reach out to professionals at the University of Missouri to help answer some of my questions. Which is good because it helps me to be better at finding a solution to problems with other people well.
#4. What is something that was hard for you at
It helped me to have a broader view in my field of competency and to find new ideas from people who shared their own.
I have learned how to ask better questions and to talk to my teachers when I need help or do not understand the concept well. I make sure that I have a relationship with my teachers and introduce myself at the beginning of each semester. Learning how to communicate with my teachers
An education here has helped me think more critically, ethically, and look at things from different perspective. It helped me fortify new ideas better and think more creatively. In terms of short-term goals, it has prepared me for interviews and how to build a strong resume that makes me stand
One huge impact I learned instantly is how you communicate with your client. I had to strengthen my communication skills because I needed to communicate with my clients in vocabulary that I knew they would understand. Communicating with a fellow peer, who is knowledgeable about taxes, is a different situation that of when you are speaking with a client. A client most likely doesn’t know the exact, in-depth details about taxes, which can lead to complications and confusion, so I had to adjust my lexicon to fit the clients’ needs and understanding. Also, working with partners was great. It gave me an opportunity to work with others and solve problems in a group. Sometimes, when one of us didn’t know the answer, the other one would step in and help. Also, I felt like the class was a gigantic supportive group because we would ask and answer each other questions, when we a confused about a topic or area.
I was capable of expanding my knowledge about careers and get a basic idea of things I may like and things I may dislike in particular occupations. Meeting great individuals along the way, I was capable of making new relationships that will further my education in the medical field. A career internship in the OB Department at Memorial Hospital of Converse County was a great
You will end up meeting the girls that will become your bridesmaid and the men that will become your best man, or more importantly, you may be meeting your future work boss. You will have scholarship programs that will ensure your success in education, as well as enjoy time off from studying
I feel like I have had a better understanding of how people really think. I liked being able to go through each assignment and relate them to my own personal life. I have also learned how to manage my time much
It was a very positive experience. The institution was a private school, which held us to a higher standard.
I learned that I am incredibly passionate about the law. I realize I enjoyed learning the rules of both Civil and Criminal Procedure, and I like reading and analyzing cases.
I became aware of CASA during my first member meeting at Theta and I instantly wanted to be part of our philanthropic
This will help when I continue my education since I know how to learn the material, but also how to think about situations critically and also from a different perspective. The academic growth that I have had at BC will also help me when I enter a career since I will know how to think critically at work as well as learn new things in my
The first and most important thing that I learned from my degree is to solve complicated problems systematically. On a personal front, I proved to myself that I am able to achieve more in life, and that personal motivation is a very important factor for achieving the most out of any experience or opportunity. I have also realised that time management is critical in order to satisfy all parties involved.
I am learning as I go but I currently am a student conduct hearing officer, speaking with students who have violated policy and disciplining if found responsible with sanctions. Through conduct hearings, I am able to process an array of issues that arise in the residence halls including roommate conflict, alcohol, controlled drug substances, sexual assault, and mental health. I am also learning to delegate tasks and inspire others to stay on track and focused on their goals. I also have felt validated in pursuing my masters in social work, especially in Dr. Norwards Generalist Practice class, during the self-care exercise. I am fascinated how the social work profession validates the social worker and the emotional history they bring to the table. Self-awareness and self-reflection have always been pillars that I wish to incorporate in my everyday and having a program validate this is inspiring. The self-care plan was so transformative for me that I brought them to my staff meeting that I hold weekly for my staff. It was amazing to hear their responses and gain a better understanding of what their going through but also how I can help them manage self-care.
I learned a great deal about the classroom environment, classroom administration, and classroom procedures in the special education. There is a great deal of preparation and training for professionals in special education. I got a closer examination and engagement with these kinds of
I myself also gained a deeper understanding about the Cloud technology. I really like how through this learning process I started out knowing nothing about a certain topic, but by the end of the semester I had become an expert on my topic and was able to share my knowledge with other people at the end of semester. In addition, the knowledge and research skills I gained from this experience will help me in the future whenever I need to learn new things.
