The Gladiator Bridge is support by both Chambers of Commerce for Compinwood and Eaganville. The two goals of the both Chambers is to promote business in the city. The Gladiator Bridge is a great example of a perfect solution for daily commuters to travel between the two cities. With four lanes going in each direction, it will improve the overall congestion on the SR A. Commercial businesses that line both sides of the route in Eaganville and Compinwood will likely see a growth in revenues. Both Chamber of Commerce for Compinwood and Eaganville are in favor of projects that do not disrupt current or future business and will benefit business in the future. These two Chambers will work together as along as sales are improving and goods are expanding.

The 1960 's marked the beginning of cruise tourism ( Brida, et.al, 2013). However, it wasn 't until the 70 's and 80 's that the cruise industry began to experience moderate growth. All of this changed however in 90 's when cruise tourism took root in Europe, Asia and Oceania and 3.8 million people worldwide embarked on ocean adventures ( Brida, et.al, 2013). Although the industry has experienced continual growth since the 90 's, and cruises are consistently ranked as one of the top preferred vacation type by holiday goers, the cruise tourism industry is still relatively small in relation to other forms of international tourism (Brida, et.al, 2013).

The final uncontrollable force affecting the cruise line industry is competition (Montalvo, 2007). This is probably the least influential force since 91% of the cruise line industry is made up of three companies-Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Star. These three organizations are world-famous and have developed the cruise concept to the point that there is a cruise that will fit just about every person’s destination dream and budget reality.

Through travel and hospitality related experiences in my life I have created two major goals for my career. My first trip to Las Vegas was the time when my first major career goal was established. By walking through each hotel I could easily see that each place had a different style and way of operating. Observing these examples allowed me to determine which hotel/resort or company would be the best to work for. MGM’s Aria Resort and Casino has always stuck out to me as a well-running, high class establishment; the workers are professional, but friendly and the atmosphere is comforting while keeping up with the modern times. During the recent economic contraction, the cruise industry has been continually changing with more carriers purchasing larger ships. This is part of an effort to offer better amenities when attracting upscale cliental. However, the industry has become more competitive and the total number of players has increased exponentially.

The global cruise industry continues to be the fastest growing travel sector in the world with strong consumer attention and substantial cruise line investment in a diversity of mind-blowing ships that travel to the most exotic locations in the world and offer exceptional vacation experiences.

Results based on a sample of tourism and hospitality students in a major Asia Pacific travel destination indicated that the perceived nature of the work had no significant relationship with career prospects; however, nature of the work was a significant factor contributing to the perceived social status of the industry. In addition, social status had an effect on the students' perceptions of the career prospects, and perceived career prospects were a significant determinant to students' commitment to the industry. The author further explores the moderating effect of salary expectation and discusses theoretical and practical implications of the results.
