To get the root cause of a problem is to investigate thoroughly or to dig the problem deeply to find out the utmost causation of the problem so that it can be resolved accordingly. It is crucial to figure out the root cause of problem, whether it is a part/ a function/ a party or whatever that could not fulfill its responsibility and why that happens in first place. The right way to do is to trace back to every single layer of the problem, constantly wonder “Why?” to filter the surface to discover the hidden root cause of problem. 5. The objective of this report was to analyze Vivint-Smart Home Solutions’ performance in terms of organisational culture, management and leadership styles and motivation and how organizations have been affected by them. In this report, we identified that Vivint has an association of Hierarchy and Market organisational culture, relationship-oriented and task-oriented leadership styles and servant leadership style. Moreover, it demonstrated that Vivint has intrinsic and extrinsic rewards. These resulted in successful and unsuccessful practices of Vivint based on the Undercover Boss TV series based on three aspects which have been mentioned above. In addition, this report critiqued the Undercover Boss method for discovering the problems within an organisation and recommended other processes for uncovering issues. The results showed that organisational culture, management and leadership styles as well as motivation played significant roles in Vivint’s performance. Recommendations have been made to improve the unsuccessful practices of Vivint such as training managers to be empathic problem solver, examining and updating the working condition regularly, bonus for employees who give feedback voluntarily on management processes and offering fund to employees who are in need of support.

When customers seek for a specific product or service, they obviously want the company to be responsible and well organized. A customer wants to be able to trust the company in which the company delivers everything correctly and the way the costumer wants. When all the customer wants and needs are met, the customer will be to determine which company fits best.

The first day sales were higher than expected. The promise was low price and delivery time. For the t-shirts it was 2days as the project only had to last for a week. Each t-shirt requirement differed from other in design, color and size. All the requirements were gathered and after we consolidated a target amount of t-shirt orders the first day, the operations team who was responsible to take care of the production of shirts and delivery on time. Surprisingly, each t-shirt required an extra effort in order to be made by custom requirement which increased the time required for production and delivery. The supplier refused to take more orders as the production stages were time consuming whereas our demand was low delivery time. Our aim was to arrange as many customized shirts as we could which was not facilitated by the shirts supplier so well. So I considered consulting another supplier to lower the burden of shirts to be produced, which would possibly increase the production to meet the daily
