I am an 8th grade student at Memphis Street Academy. I am sure that many people believe us scholars shouldn't care about what happens to the school when we move on, but that is not the case. Most of the students graduating this year have been going to Memphis Street Academy for at least two years and are now almost about to graduate.
Most of us have improved immensely since we started at Memphis. To start, most schools would not put forth as much effort in making sure that their students are safe at all times. How many schools have you seen that keep their staff members out in the neighborhood well after dismissal? The staff members at Memphis Street Academy are all about safety. Safety is one of our top priorities.
The student government,
Pattonsburg school district is growing. The number of students in the area continues to grow larger each year. The community has seen this rapid growth and decided it was time to vote for an addition to the school. After reviewing the recent enrollment numbers, it was discovered that there has been about a 13 percent increase in students over the past five years. This vote took place at the end of the 2016 school year and construction work began in October.

Communication within the Westside School District No. 5 between the school district and the communities and families that it serves is a very dynamic process. I talked with district administrators, community members, researched pertinent information in the Arkansas State University library, and various governmental online sources and found very helpful information to include in this sociological inventory. Westside Consolidated School District No. 5 is a consolidation of primarily three school districts Bono, Cash and Egypt located in Craighead County, Arkansas in 1966 (Westside, 2017). The district also includes parts of Walnut Ridge and Alicia in Lawrence County and parts of Jonesboro in Craighead County. The district has three school buildings housing students from pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade. The elementary school is the school for
Although Pensacola Christian College and Academy maintain many unique strength, but some weakness become obvious under globe business setting. One of the biggest weakness which is the core reason for this proposal that is foreign to many people. Three separate but similar surveys had been conducted during research. Three international students group from Asia are Chinese, Indonesia, and Korea. Twenty-five people from each group had been asked to answer to a same questions: “How do you know about Pensacola Christian College?” The results of surveys indicate that on one ever heard any advertise about Pensacola Christian College before they came. In addition, Chinese students know about Pensacola Christian College and Academy because of their

Gulf Shores Middle School- On January 13th, the students of Coach Cobb’s eighth grade classes did an experiment to see how far a barbie doll would drop based on the amount of rubber bands placed on its legs. The students were to bring barbies in, the Coach Cobb gave every group of students a barbie doll to use. Then the students were to tie a rubber band around its legs to keep them still, then tie more around that until there was a group of bands from two to six. After that the students were to put the last band on a ruler and drop the barbie, in the same way every time, off of their desks to see how far in meters the barbie would fall. Then on the next day the students dropped one barbie off of a (FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENS)
If I was the principle of Metro High School I would use the four types of reinforcements to motivate the students to improve performance and attendance.* This change of policies would realisticly take place over long period of time with a good system of data collection and other types of control functions. It is also very important to have the parents of the children involve as much as possible.
I attended the Centennial Christian School to visit one of the student, Ashley, who is diagnosed with cerebral palsy. It was interesting to see Ashley’s care plan that was written by Chris Robberts that outlines care of her stoma, flushing of water every hour at school via feeding tube, administering mediation via feeding, and what to do when the student has a ‘blank stare’ or grand mal seizure.
Leaguetown Independent School District is currently facing a conflict of whether having later start times would perhaps help the improvement of academic performance of Leaguetown Middle School and high school students. Superintendent Judith Owens has proposed a new schedule that would set later start times. A group of Leaguetown Middle School parents has organized to oppose the proposal.
XYZ Charter Academy is an elementary school with a total of 450 students and service at risk students on the verge of failure as well as live in low poverty areas. Two- hundred eight five students have been identified as at risk students and 60 of them are in the early childhood program. Those students have been identified as being at least one to two grade levels behind with a reading comprehension level at kindergartern. These students also have high behavior issues and have been suspended several times. According to Cox (2009) students can learn according to their abilities and needs. This form of teaching is also great for the teacher because it gives him/her the time to work individually with students who may be struggling.
I teach in the Westside Consolidated Number Five School District in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The school district is a consolidation of three small rural town school districts Bono, Egypt, and Cash, Arkansas in 1968. I met with my mentor Mr. Scott Gaunt the school district superintendent on January 18, 2017 between meetings with district leaders and countywide superintendents. We met and discussed the community relations plan and identified the two most important issues for our district as identified in the poll by the Phi Delta Kappan and the Gallop poll. The issues were the lack of financial support for the school district to provide an adequate education for students and the testing and regulations imposed on school districts that lower educational time for students while in school.
XYZ Charter academy’s mission is to see that no child is left behind and has the same opportunity no matter income bracket(Dr.Harris,2017). XYZ Charter Academy is seeking a technology grant to provide early childhood students with access to their own students at school. This will increase student engagement and teacher student connection. An overview is that student academic performance will increase using technology. There are always two sides to every story. There is some good of using technology in the classroom as well as negative reasons. Our organization has looked into all the objectives and realizes that the students may not always do what they are supposed to do with accessing other websites.
There are many possibilities as to why Robeson High School could be facing these low performing ratings. One possibility that many have looked into is the teachers that are educating at these schools. The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) school district educated about 381,349 students in the 2016-2017 school district, according to CPS’s website. However, they employ only about 36,254 staff, with only 20,973 teachers employed. This is about 19 students per teacher. Looking closer into Robeson High School, the total enrollment was 355 students, and the total full time teachers was 34. With Robeson High having about 10 students with every teacher, it seems that the academics and test scores should be much better than they are.
Students attending Metro Nashville Public Schools have a graduation rate of 80%. Graduation rates are slightly improving, however, few students are college-ready according to ACT test scores. Only a fifth of Metropolitan Nashville high school students who took the ACT last year were deemed college-ready in English, math, reading and science.
