For instance, Liang and Zhang (2009) studied the relationship between service quality, price fairness and customer satisfaction in student food service. As the result, the ranking of the factors are food variety, price fairness and convenience. Food is a basic need for everyone. Although many people prefer eating at home, many others will look for new places to dine in for a change. It is usually hard to find a table in famous restaurants unless you have a previous reservation. Famous restaurants owners enjoy a deluxe existence by having a better chance to meet important customers. The success of a restaurant depends on providing quality food and friendly atmosphere. Once customers like a certain restaurant they will usually revisit. Customers’ satisfaction is also an important element of success. Therefore, responding to customers’ needs could lead to outstanding results. Consequently, an efficient managerial approach could help a restaurant to provide both the high quality of food
The people’s opinions also change. In 2012, 44 percent of people said that they would spend more time on fast food (Refer to appendix 3). However, in recent years, as the profits goes down, many people get the opposition to fast food, but always after the incident, many people also want to go to KFC, about 54 percent, because of the characteristic: fast and “delicious” and the “clean” environment (Refer to appendix 7)
The main purpose of this research study is to come up with a strong analysis on the performance level the restaurant. The following objectives have been brought forward with regard to this purpose.
A research by Antun and Gustafson (2005) focused on restaurants and clubs’ menus in the United States. The authors compared the menus to determine how they should be planned, and what impact it has on the customers. Although this study did not target vegetarians in particular, it took into account the health factor. In order to compare the menus, the researchers chose 61 different restaurants and clubs. The criteria are important for deciding whether a restaurant is of better quality. Furthermore, criteria are necessary for the argument behind the restaurant that is chosen as the best. Food quality, respectable service, reasonable price, and atmosphere were chosen as the criteria. Without the criteria, anything could go wrong. Someone could be driving down the road and choose to eat at a restaurant that resembled a shack. Maybe the person choosing the restaurant thinks it will be a nice and rustic, but the restaurant’s atmosphere is all wrong; the place is a total mess. The customer receives their food, and their meat is green. Food poisoning or worms could result from this atrocious meal. There is a parasitic disease called trichinosis that could result from eating raw or uncooked meat. Let’s say that the food was actually fine, but the service was terrible. The food arrived late and the smelly waiter had a sassy attitude. A whole day could be ruined. The customer could be late to the occasion they had to make after the meal due to their food arriving late. Furthermore, the customer will be in a terrible mood from receiving back talk from the waiter. This kind of instance could affect other people as well. Maybe the customer had to go meet up with friends or family after the meal. Now, the customer would be in a bad mood, causing all of the others to also be in a bad mood. As you can see, criteria become very important in choosing which restaurant to eat
The nature of the products and services provided in the restaurant industry are based on customer satisfaction with the food and services that each location provides. Providing a selection of delicious and well-presented food made with quality ingredients that are simple and good tasting is exactly what the customer wants. Most customers go to restaurants to meet with others socially in a friendly environment. Making sure the restaurant is clean, attractive, and the décor is consistent with the food and restaurant’s image and making sure the waiting staff knows that it is ok to allow customers to linger adds to
In this field report, I spent a good deal of time purchasing food in restaurant and fast food venues. I often ate my meals at home in morning and at, times, during the evening, but I found that more than half of my eating habits were through fast food venues. I noticed that I often traveled to school and work, which made it more convenient to buy fast food. However, the quality of fast food is a concern, since I was only able to have one “healthy” dinner on Day 3. In most cases, I found that I often bought food on my own, and in some cases, with friends. I tend to spend a lot of time purchasing food on the road, which illustrates the busy schedule that I have to maintain on a regular basis. Overall, this field study exposed the important role of convenience and the fast food industry that dominates my eating
The results states that the food consumption increased after the condiments were introduced to the participants which states if there is a slight variety in the food which can help to increase the food intake by the customers. (Brondel, Lauraine, Wymelbeke, Romer, & Schaal, 2009) has led research to note the alteration between food in meals in humans. For this study researcher has led study on 16 volunteers (8 males and 8 females) in three sessions. Each sessions differs from the alteration of food given to the participants. The result indicates that the alteration of food during lunch increases the consumption of food while alteration of food at the end of the meal decreases the consumption of the meal. The overall results can be very helpful for the company as it highlights on the importance of introducing food variations in the menu on overall food consumption which can benefit to Bigbite food truck and helps the company to introduce different variety of food in their menu according to the people
Life at the university should be enjoyable and stress-free as possible. According to the fact that most of the students spend almost 7 Hours a day at universities. Each university offers some services like gyms, writing studios, and several clubs. On the other hand, one of the main facilities at the university is the restaurants. One of the features I enjoy at DAH university is the variety of restaurants. You can find all the kinds of food you want. I have been at the university for a month now, but I have not tried all the restaurant yet. Based on these days I noticed some point about the food, the environment and the Salespeople.

The restaurant is located 3 to 4 miles from the university campus and its housing. This distance could require more exertion on the customers’ efforts to travel to purchase a pizza that a student may not or cannot exert. This could be due to lack of transportation or distance, but as our survey did not ask if the participants had a reliable mode of transportation to Z’s Brick Oven Pizza, the assumption is based on the low rating location was in the rating of reasons participants “Liked” Z’s on Facebook. So the recommendations are based on the only the satisfaction level of the location of the

The paper presents an analysis of the different factors influencing the restaurant industry and how these factors increase or decrease the demand for such services. The hypothesis that will be examined is that the performance of restaurants is mostly based on the type of food chosen by customers when they decide to go out for dinner, lunch, breakfast, or simply for a snack. What type of food refers mainly the nationality or concept of the food, (traditional American, Italian, Indian, Latin, or from any other type of culture).
