Black Friday shopping is a controversial issue in the United States; while many believe the day after Thanksgiving is a part of holiday festivities, others view it as destructive. Throughout “Black Friday: Consumerism Minus Civilization,” Andrew Leonard argues that the chaos of Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving in which crowds of Americans shop all night for extremely low prices, lessens the sophistication of Americans and the true meaning of the holidays. People become so consumed in the idea of endless sale prices that they forget to embrace what they already have, such as family, food, and shelter. He believes that Black Friday shopping has become out of control and describes the negative effects of excessive consumerism. he explains how most consumers act completely insane while Black Friday shopping and how society encourages this behavior by creating commercials and advertisements. Furthermore, Leonard states that it hurts the economy and damages one’s mental health. While Leonard is probably wrong when he claims that Black Friday shopping is completely troublesome to America’s well-being, he is right that consumerism overpowers the true significance of Thanksgiving.

The prices at Wal-Mart are always low. They even price match other stores. ThisWhich means if you bring in a sales paper with, for instance, a microwave that’s $45 and Wal-Mart has the same one for $65, they will sell it to you for $45. If they have something marked lower than what it really is they sell it to you for that price, even if it’s a big difference. You definitely get more for your money at Wal-Mart.

This marketing plan focuses on the repair of marketing strategies of SAM’S CLUB’s brand image. The main focus is implementing a dynamic data-driven retargeting marketing strategy through data-driving apps to consumers. The company’s message is for consumers to install the Sam’s Club app so that they can successively retarget users in their campaign who most likely to create an account for membership. Sam’s Club will collect data about its consumers attached to the device ID’s, similar to behavior and demographics, to decipher which ones have the greatest potential in becoming high-value users and which ones are most likely to defer. Moreover, with this data, the emphasis will shift to increasing the run-of-the-mill income per user, driving
In order for Sam's to continue to perform it may be necessary for them to imitate some of Costco's strategy and begin to stock more luxury products. This will expand their clientele by appealing to a more upscale class of consumers and in effect could steal some of the markets that Costco's operates in. If implemented correctly, this would effectively improve their overall financial performance.
The cheapest item on their menu is the sub sandwiches at $6.50, which comes with chips and a pickle spear and is served on a freshly baked deli roll and the most expensive item on their menu is the large Specialty Pies which are served on Sam’s hand rolled stoned baked crust. You also have to pay $2.39 for your drink and for pop they serve Coca-Cola products. Also the Sam and Ella’s near my house has a special where if you order a large Specialty pie you get a six pack of Coca-Cola products for free. The items I have had from Sam and Ella’s are the Arti Wrap, the Arti toast, Yard Bird, and my own Masterpiece pizza. The Arti Wrap is an appetizer in which Ella’s Artichoke spinach dip and mozzarella are wrapped in Sam’s pizza crust and it is $6.95 for it. The Yard Bird is a sub sandwich and it is chicken breast with tomato, lettuce, mozzarella, and mayo on a fresh deli roll that is baked to perfection and it is $6.50.My own masterpiece pizza that I have created at Sam and Ella’s is a small ten inch pizza with carved ham, pineapple, and black olives for $9.95. The quality of the food is always amazing and you can tell that they take their time to make sure their food is mouth watering and tasted like it was made by your own hands or by one of your family members I always get full of either the Arti wrap and half of my Yard bird or my small pizza I get or all of my sandwich or my small pizza if I didn’t get any appetizers. I usually have to take leftovers home because the food is filling and would hold me over until my next meal

Today, Costco is a well known and loved company by consumers.
At Walmart I found some discounts. One discount was soap, which was only for $4.00. Another discount was water, which was only for $2.00. These discounts in other stores are a bit expensive to buy, but these discounts from Walmart are very very cheap. At first I actually thought that Walmart would have more expensive things than Walgreens, but it turns out I was wrong.
