1. The mission of West Virginia Medical Professionals Health Care Program (WVMPHP) is to provide confidential mental health and/or substance abuse treatment for the healthcare professionals across West Virginia. Collaboration is key to advance growth, which leverages the strengths of all the organizations working together to achieve common goals. WVMPHP should conduct a SWOT analysis to identify their organizational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. A SWOT analysis, should be utilized in conjunction with a strategic planning process to enable WVMPH a detailed assessment of their current financial resources. Having established strong collaborative partners across West Virginia, receiving national attention, and positive outcomes enhances the credibility of WVMPHP. 2. A planning analysis is needed to ensure diverse financial support and implement a fundraising plan. A detailed plan provides a yearlong plan to identity potential avenues of support and assignment for staff to complete. WVMPHP appears to have not developed a strategy for annual revenue support and an analysis will target income sources. Fundraising strategies to explore can include quarterly direct mail newsletters, e-mail and social media updates. Since WVMPHP is a statewide organization events should be …show more content…
As a relatively new organization, WVMPHP is faced with the challenge of developing their donor base by educating them on their mission and goals. There are several strategies WVMPHP can leverage to develop an informed business donor base. Creating a fundraising committee under the board of directors or hiring a part-time staff member to secure business donations. WVMPHP will need to establish responsible individuals for the purpose of seeking charitable donations. Special events like a gala or dinner can yield high revenue returns and the opportunity to educate the community about WVMPHP. Other fundraising strategies to explore are direct mail or personal
An organization such as the Pocahontas Memorial Hospital (PMH) is established to be a primary care source for a rural community, serving 5% of the state’s population (Pocahontas Memorial Hospital, 2013). PMH wishes to deliver compassionate care and promote healthy lifestyles through working collaboratively with other healthcare facilities, and delivering adequate patient education, while sustaining financial viability (Pocahontas Memorial Hospital, 2016). In order to determine which existing and potential services that Lakeview Medical Center (LMC) should offer, strategists must assess several key components of each service line to test its validity. LMC will conduct a “brainstorming” session outside of the work environment to encourage strategic thinking amongst the administrators. To begin with, these administrators need to decide whether or not each service at-hand aligns with the medical center’s mission. If the service does not further the organizational mission or purpose, then it should
One element of an external environmental assessment is the complicated, dynamic process of a competitor analysis. The new paradigm of healthcare delivery makes it necessary for organizations to think about their competitive edge, something that healthcare administrators did not have to think about in the past. Ginter, Duncan, and Swayne (2013) identify the essential elements of a service area competitor analysis: establishing the categories of service; determine the service area, the geographical boundaries; and identification and analysis of weaknesses and strengths of those vying for the same market share (p. 78). Today’s healthcare leaders need to think beyond the facilities that are most close, owing to the fact that consumers of care are willing to move past their neighborhoods to centers of excellence that deliver the highest quality care. Leaders also need to consider service providers that are dissimilar in structure. These ventures are new to the healthcare market, offering one profitable, specialized service. Market niches should not be overlooked or underestimated because they are likely contenders (Ginter et al. p. 80). This paper offers a competitive analysis for detoxification, the first level of treatment for substance use disorders (SUDs). There is a discussion of the service category and service area of one treatment offered in a freestanding psychiatric facility in metro Boston, Massachusetts, and ends with a discussion on how the
Hello everyone! my friend Gabby Aranda along with a small group of us have created a gofundme to raise money to start up a non-profit organization to help women who are in need of health care. After creating the non-profit, which will be called For All Women, we are focusing on raising money for a clinic in Madison called Share the Health which is open about once per month and is a free women's clinic where physicians and residents volunteer their time to treat underprivileged women. Our overall goal is to allow the clinic to be open more often and therefore help more people in need. Click the link to read more about our plans and consider donating! Thanks so much!
Over the last few months, the Northern Ontario Party has been approached by desperate business owners looking for any kind of assistance with their outrageous hydro bills. One such business owner is Roslyn Taylor who operates Taylor’s sawmill on Manitoulin Island. Roslyn, recently posted on Facebook her hydro bill for the month of July. It was nearly $4000.00 and this was a month where her main saw was down and her company’s production was low. So, you would expect the company’s power bill to be reasonable. But here is what the Taylor’s hydro bill looked like
I have been a part of numerous groups throughout my high school FFA career, class officer and my time as a member of 4-H. Many of the groups I have been a part of have been very successful and productive. I am the former president of a 4-H horse club called Trailblazers. We host an annual Ultimate Horsemen’s Challenge Association, UHCA, race as a fundraiser. With great organizational skills, planning and overall politeness when speaking with potential sponsors, Trailblazers has hosted one of the most attended in the entire season for riders in the UHCA circuit. Over the last three years, our number of horse and riders has almost doubled in size, our selection of prizes has expanded thanks to loyal sponsors, and we have such an increase enough
It is easily to find out that Windfall has contributed to the community a lot. Also, Kate Ogles gave us some background information about herself and how she got involved into the dancing organizations. She has been dancing for over 20 years and is still dancing now, which is very amazing! She had the experiences of teaching ballet classes before with pre-school and elementary students. HPPD is 4.8, which means I have lower patient care hour. Therefore, it is below budgeted HPPD of 5.4; I plan to reduce staff hours and adjust accordingly with the number of admissions and discharges.

Even though the MAPP strategic planning model has been initiated for utilizing organizational practices within the external communities to help with improving the outcomes for constituents, it serves a very important goal for health care leaders that are concerned about the public’s health issues. Many communities have utilized this strategy based on the health issues that have plagued several communities for several years, thus, the MAPP process have been proven to work within numerous communities. The resources that are available through MAPP are the CDC, NACCHO, and HRSA which are available to provide an assessment to the community and help with initiating a strategic plan that would benefit all that are affected by health issues or concerns.

The three counties that are served through AF provide high quality primary care and preventative services to demographic areas with diverse geography, culture, income, and other varying factors (“Arroyo Fresco,” 2006). The facility guides its decision making process for organizational strategies with the combination of FOCUS and SWOT analysis.
