CPS received CPS referral #0677-3482-7506-1042519 regarding minor Natalie Thompson (DOB: 10/22/01). On 4/7/17, minor threatened to kill herself by jumping in front of a train because she was upset over what happened in her new placement at the group home. Minor stated that she no longer wanted to live and did not want to return to group home. Minor stated that she expressed to staff that she wanted to be left alone, but staff disregarded her request and held her. Two female staff held her back so she proceeded to strike them. During the restrain, staff grabbed minor by her arms, legs and shirt. One of the staff members (unknown) pulled her hair and held her tight so during the restraint causing the minor to sustain multiple bruises on her body.

According to the CAN worker, DHR got involved because of domestic violence between Philip Miller and Lena Miller (current wife /step mother of the children) while the children were visiting their home. Reportedly Ashley (mother) is actively using METH and also methodone she gets from a clinic, and is also involved in prostitution. Ashley told OPWI that Ashley ''can't wait outside for the bus to go to drug court because she's done bad things to people (robbed people, committed home invasion, taken people's money and drugs) and these people are after her.'' Per the referral Nicole is an alleged victim of sexual abuse, physical abuse and general neglect by an unknown perpetrator. According to the RP on 1/28/15 a staff member named Rebecca took Nicole to Long Beach Memorial Hospital clinic to be examined after she disclosed having suicidal ideation. Nicole revealed to hospital staff that she planned to hang herself. While waiting at the hospital Nicole disclosed being "fingered" by two different boys (names unknown) at the home. She said that Alexis has been placed with her, but has court ordered supervised visitations with her father, Brian Fast. On Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at approximately 1902 hours, I responded to Division of Family and Children Services, 975 Taylor Street for a Runaway Juvenile. Upon my arrival I met with the complainant Kathy Suber. Suber advised me she is a case worker for DFACS and Tretanya Fitzerald left the location.
On this date and time this worker travelled to 3850 Cherokee Trail to speak with Mr. Sayers. This worker explained the report received by the Department again to Mr. Sayers. He stated that all of it was a lie and was unsure why Kathryn would say that he did that to her. He stated that when he disciplines Kathryn it is either with a spanking on the bottom or he makes her go to her room. Mr. Sayers reported that he never falls asleep on Kathryn while she is outside. He stated when she goes outside she is on the trampoline and he is outside with her during this time. Currently, minor is served by DCFS under the Family maintenance program. Minor is under the care of biological mother and resides at home. Minor first entered the system four years ago when her father physically abused minor. Minor was detained and placed with foster parents. Minor 's case was closed for only a few months but minor re-entered the system two years ago because father continued the physical abuse. Minor was detained and placed into a foster home.
