Comparison Report:
The Canadian business comparison report comprises of the companies details and also the comparison between a Canadian local business and Indian local business. For this report I have chosen Canada’s Dollarama and India’s D-Mart as both company have same target market.
Dollarama is Canada’s leading dollar store with 900 locations across Canada. The company was founded in 1992 by Larry Rossy, …show more content…

The company also provides training to their employee’s and the employees also have to attend meeting on daily basis before start of the shift (D-Mart, 2014). There are two types of shifts in
D-Mart full time shifts are of 9 hours including half hour break and part time shifts of (4-5 hours depending on store needs) which includes 15 minutes break. All the breaks in India are included in working hours as there are monthly wages and not hourly wages. To apply for Dollarama the candidate needs customer service experience in any industry and the company also provides appropriate training. There are three types of shift in Dollarama: 5 hours shift which has 15 minutes break, 6 and half hour shift including half hour break and 8 hours shift including half an hour break. All the breaks are unpaid as the wages are on hourly basis and an employee has to sign in and sign out on the Point of sale system (POS) during their break time.

Are the employees trained for the job?
Yes. All newly hired employees are trained for 3 month. All employees are on three month probation period.
8. Are all employees treated fairly?
