School lunches have gotten worse throughout the years. Food comes out of packages instead of the kitchen, food is filled with preservatives instead of vitamines. Health problems are rising for children as early as the age of ten because of their unhealthy eating habits. To solve this growing epidemic, school lunches need to be cooked with a large quantity, that way everyone gets the lunch they want. If we want our generation and future generations to live long and healthy lives, we need to start with what goes in their bodies. Parents, staff, and government officials, should care about what children eat. “Obesity has also been associated with heart disease, arthritis, and certain cancers, and researchers have found fatty streaks in the blood
School lunches should be in better condition before fed to students. As we know, schools don’t have the best lunches. There have been expired food, “fresh meat”, etc. This is very unhealthy towards kids health. If anything happens to them, the school would be responsible (McClatchy Tribune News Service) . Even though, school lunches are “told” to be healthy they should increase the foods’ healthiness/ freshness.
As a society, we must address the school lunch issue if we expect to get a handle on the obesity epidemic. Providing nutritional, tasty, kid-friendly lunches are a necessary piece of this complex puzzle. Obesity is a medical condition caused by an excess in body fat, and can cause many health problems.
It is no secret that school lunches are unhealthy. The problem is that on a daily basis will cause us problems beyond our childhood and into our future down the road. Eating a unhealthy meal here and there in moderation is one thing but eating unhealthy food's on a daily basis for more than half a year for over 13 years can cause obesity, lead to physical problems and lastly mental health issues. The schools are responsible for us when we are not at home and they claim they do what’s best for us but foods high in calories, fat and sugars is not what I would call doing a good job. The school system will argue that if we offer healthier alternatives that the students would not eat it and just throw it away.
Lunch is a very vital part of our day. Lunch provides one-third of our total calories for the day. A healthy lunch leads to a more nutrient intake per day. School lunches provide some healthy food, but not all. Many of the foods at our schools lead to obesity. For example, nachos leads to obesity. I thought they changed the school lunches to make them healthier. According to research done by “Journal of school Health”, the healthier our luncher are the the average student does in class.
First published in 1894, Kate Chopin’s short story “Beyond the Bayou” explores the effect that fear and loneliness can have on one’s world, along with how love and determination can prompt one to ultimately overcome these emotions. An early childhood trauma has compelled the protagonist of the story, a woman known as La Folle, to choose to remain in the isolation of her cabin and the woods surrounding it, keeping her largely separated from the rest of the world across the bayou. Her master’s house sits across the bayou, and his children revel in visiting La Folle and listening to her stories. The protagonist is closest with the youngest of the children; Cheri. The two share a deep bond, one that is tested towards the end of the story when Cheri accidentally stumbles and his leg is injured by a bullet.
What if the schools freezer, oven, and everything else they use to cook with just broke? What would you tell the students? What would the students' eat? Well, if we had off campus lunches, then if that problem ever did happen then you have a backup plan. If students didn't have a ride or any money to buy themselves food, then a note would go saying that students should pack a lunch. Off campus lunches are trips that students could take during their lunch to a restaurant, so they can decide what they want to eat. Students at public schools want more freedom and off campus lunches would give them that.
America prides itself on being on of the greatest countries in the world, but this isn’t true for all areas, some of them we are lacking in and could learn from other countries’ example. Some of which are our obesity rates, quality of food, and academic standards. All of which either affect or are affected by our school lunches. American public schools should adopt a hands on and healthier approach to mealtimes because it will decrease the obesity levels in our children, teach students where their food comes from and how to prepare it, also because it merely tastes better.
The dark circular lines did not sketch a Picasso, they sketched a melody. The needle gouged into the deep grooves and emitted hard beats coupled with pounding bass. As the vinyl turntable spun Jay-Z’s hit song, Magna Carta, my spiritless bedroom turned into an energetic music studio. Harmonious notes ricocheted around the confinements of my room while my eyes shut out the outside world. The array of G Minor and F Sharp piano scales fused with the voice of Justin Timberlake and produced a song about how fame fools, and humility rules. To many I may come off as a hip-hop junkie, but Hip-hop was not always a large part of my life.
Children suffer from the lunches the federal government gives them. When Mrs. Obama created a bill restricting school lunches she made our lives miserable. As young adults, we need more food than what give us. Growing teens need more calories than our lunches provide. The meals they decided we should eat fail to support our growing bodies. Our school lunches don’t provide adequate energy, the Federal Government’s plan backfires and Amendment 10 declares that it is unconstitutional.

I have heard that Satan has come from heaven but was never really sure. So for my research paper I asked where Satan came from and how he was created. Answers for this question are found in many places in the Bible. Satan was one of the highest angels until was overcome with pride. He was thrown out, and hell was created. Hell was first for Satan but was then opened for everyone when Adam and Eve sinned.
The school board is always complaining about the school lunches that are given out. They
Have you ever tasted school cafeteria food? I don’t think you would want to. In school story books, do you have characters saying that the food tasted good at school cafeterias? Nope. Why is this? Cafeteria food is often cheap, bought in bulk, high in calories, malnutritious, and microwaved. Student polls and opinions prove this. Therefore, this leads to a suggestion: Healthier, tastier foods and a better, advanced lunch system should be implemented.
Healthy food should be accessible to everyone. If healthy food isn’t available for everyone all it’s going to do is cause more and more health problems. If we made healthy organic food the same price as cheap unhealthy food there would be a big difference in the health of our country. It’s completely unfair to make healthy food too expensive for other people to buy, which causes them to buy cheap unhealthy food, like off a dollar menu at a fast food restaurant. This issue needs to be put to an end.
When something is detrimental to our health, we strive to avoid it whenever possible to extend our lives. We know that exposure to known cancer causing agents such as asbestos and lead paint is harmful; therefore, we do not expose ourselves to the risk and we certainly do not eat it. This seems simple; however, what do we do when that harmful vice is food? We cannot stop eating; instead, we must closely examine what we are putting into our bodies. When faced with the choice of a burger or grilled vegetables, most would choose the burger. These choices have lead us down a path littered with food related diseases, illnesses and rising healthcare costs. The state of Americans health is declining due to increasing obesity, diabetes and
