Hook: In a mere two hours, America was changed forevermore by an unspeakable act of terror.
The final aspect of why these three events did not have as much of an influence on America is because these things all happened with a short amount of time within each other, and they are actually closely related to one another. A theory that was widely believed after WWII called the “Domino Theory”, was the belief that if one country fell to communism, then the surrounding countries would also fall to communism until there was basically a communistic wave that would clash with the democratic island of America. And in a world torn by a massive war after the 1940s, where the democratic United states and the communist Soviet Union emerged as the superpowers, this domino effect was becoming a terrifying reality. The Truman
September 9th air plane hiking’s, almost 18 years ago has had a tremendous impact on American security and airline procedures. Since 9/11 first happened there has been more producers and security rules altered to defuse threats moreover: hijackings also other dangerous attacks. All the attacks, even threats lead to greater consequences, such as higher security, additional restrictions. Airlines are forced to revise rules over and over again with every incident: additional that leads further frustration and dissatisfaction with costumers and many employees as well.
On September 11, 2001, a catastrophic event occurred in New York City (‘’9/11 attacks”). The nineteen Islamic terrorists from Saudi Arabia hijacked four airliners. The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City and part of the Pentagon in Washington, D.C was destroyed (“9/11 attacks”). These terrorist attacks caused approximately 3000 deaths, and it also impacted how the United States handled terrorism and airport security (“9/11 attacks”).
On the morning of September 11, 2001, an Islamic terrorist group known as al-Qaeda carried out a series of four attacks on the United States. The most well-known attack is when two commercial airline planes crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City. Many innocent lives were lost and families were torn apart. While many Americans were determined to show their resilience towards the attacks, this is a day many Americans will never forget. Although the attacks happened sixteen years ago, Americans are still dealing with the impacts these attacks have had on life in America. The 9/11 attacks have had several long-lasting effects on everyday life in America, some of which include an increase in airport security, a change in national security, and an increase the fear of terrorism.
September 11, 2001, was a day that started like any other day. Businessmen and women, prepared for work, went for another day of work. Children went to school for another day of learning. However, before the morning of people's everyday lives could begin a tragic event occurred, affecting many lives! The incident of September 11, 2001, was a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda, on the United States. The purpose of attacks was to target symbolic U.S. landmarks. While these attacks will be in our hearts forever, the effects are felt in other ways as well. The 9/11 attacks have left a very negative impact on our society.
There is one group responsible for the events of September 11, 2001. A terrorist Islamic group, al-Qaeda, led by Osama bin Laden, were behind the attacks. Nineteen members of this group took control of four planes. America’s stance in the Persian Gulf War, their occupation in the Middle East, and helping Israel is what caused this group to attack. At American commercial flight schools, members of al-Qaeda had prepared for the attacks by enrolling in flying lessons. The terrorists snuck box cutters and knives through airport security. Not too long after taking off, the terrorists took control of the four planes they boarded. They took over American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77, and United Airlines Flight 93.
The attack of September 11, 2001 has changed the lives of millions around the world for better and for worse. This attack consisted of airplanes hitting the twin towers in America by hi-jackers who were said to be members of Bin Laden’s terrorist organization Al-Qaeda where as many believe that this attack was an inside job by the Americans themselves. Those who believe that Bin Laden was the successor behind the 9/11 attacks believe it was a way to weaken the Americans in order for them to stop supporting countries who aren’t following the Islamic way. Considering there was never any proof that neither Bin Laden nor any of his people had anything to do with 9/11 is why some believe it was an inside job. Those who believe that Bin Laden and his terrorist organization were behind this attack
The 9/11 World Trade Center events are one of the darkest stains in the history of mankind and most of society never managed to understand how people can adopt such horrifying methods with the purpose of expressing themselves. These events change the world completely, as every domain ranging from aviation to local police experienced reform and were reorganized with the purpose of being able to deal effectively with potential terrorist threats. Economics, politics, and society in general came to use different strategies from that point on and it is actually difficult for someone to claims that he or she never experienced the aftermath of the 9/11 events.
The September 11 attacks were a series of four coordinated terrorists attacks by the same Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda on the United States on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. That was worst attack America was seen, killing nearly 3,000 people. Al-Qaeda is a terrorist group that can plan attacks on anybody without setting off any hints that would give them away. Making the attack much greater.
September 11. 2001 was a major turning point in American History, and its political and social impact can still be felt today. The tragic event shook the entire country on the civilian and federal level. Before 9/11 many did not think that a plan of terrorism such as that of Osama Bin Laden's would be able to come to fruition because they had great trust in American security. The destruction came as a wakeup call to the federal government and American citizens themselves. National Security became the first thing people thought of when they traveled, and civilians looked to the government for reassurance that they were safe. The federal government's plan of action was to pass a series of acts that would go on to create the Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Association. Along with the creation of more strict security measures came the question of "who is a terrorist?" within the country. The formation of the DHS, TSA, and increase of Islamophobia are some examples of the lasting effects that 9/11 had on the country.
The morning was like every other, people woke up got ready for work, sent their kids to school and some were even still sleeping in bed. The news was on giving updates on the weather, famous people, and even regular TV shows were going. 92 people were boarded and taking off on the American Airlines Flight 11, a Boeing 767 around 7:59 am September 11, 2001. Everything seemed normal nothing to worry about, but then everything changed and almost at the same time too. Flipping through the channels you could see it on every channel. A tragedy was happening, a plane had crashed into one of the trade center towers.
When someone hears the word tragedy, many different words may come to mind. A tragedy is an event that occurs that brings great destruction and despair to everything it affects. 9/11, or September 11, was completely unexpected and devastating to the entire United States, and even to many other countries around the world. 2,753 people have now perished thanks to this horrific occurrence, varying from two years old to 85 (cnn.com, 2015). Clean-up afterwords cost nearly 750 million dollars, and much more economic costs were spent by the United States(cnn.com, 2015). But, years later, it still makes a big impact on our decisions as a nation, just as it did when 9/11 first happened. Long-terms effects of 9/11 include the way airports and planes are handled, the way American muslims are looked at, and how tourism and travel have changed.
September 11, 2001, millions of New Yorkers and American citizens woke up and started their day, unprepared and unaware for the catastrophic attack that would be taking place in just a few short hours. At 8:46 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower. The impact killed all of the passengers and crew as well as hundreds inside the building. At 9:03 a.m., a second plane, Flight 175, crashed into the corner of the South Tower killing passenger, crew, and workers who worked on floors seventy-five to eighty-three. Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m. killing approximately 185 individuals (History.com Staff). Because of the damaged to the support system, fires, and impact at extremely fast speed, the South Tower collapsed at 9:59 a.m. (Lipton and Glanz). Having heard about the acts of terrorism that had just taken place in New York and Washington, D.C., a group of passengers drove their plane, Flight 93, into a Pennsylvania field killing everyone on board but possibly saving hundreds of other lives in the process. The North Tower collapsed at 10:28 a.m. 102 minutes after being struck (History.com Staff). On September 11, 2001, almost twelve hundred people were wounded or killed by “coordinated suicide attempts” by Al Qaeda terrorists. In result to the four airplanes being hijacked and used for premediated reasons, the United States government instituted new regulations for entering the country and airport security as well as expounded on systems already in place.
