I believe that I am a perfect fit for the University of California due to my characteristics that set me far apart from other candidates which are unique. The first characteristic I have is doing the right things, even when nobody's watching. This means that I have integrity and character to complement my ability to get things done. Also It’s easy to do the right thing when you have people around, but it takes courage and strength of character to do the right thing when you’re alone, however I do it at all times due to my integrity and respect for whatever reason or situation occurs, and I Stay true to my very own values even when everyone around me is floundering, or when popular opinion goes against what you know in your heart to be right.
I am a dedicated, caring individual committed to improving the world around me. My dedication to achieving goals, be it academic or in extracurricular activities, has shown time and time again that I will not give up until I meet the goal, even in the face of adversity. I believe that commitment to goals is a valuable quality I could use to contribute to the community. I plan to join clubs that UCF offer students to work with and contribute to the UCF community. I believe working with my fellow peers to be an important and enriching aspect of college life. I am always willing to help someone in need or point them in the
I have always known that I wanted to attend a top-tier university. The other details came later; the small size, the proximity to an urban hub, and my major itself. For a while, I was convinced that it would not happen; that I just wouldn’t get in. Now, I realize that I have an opportunity to do so. This is an opportunity I do not intend to waste.
Please tell us about the particular life experiences, talents, commitments and/or interests you will bring to our campus that will enrich our community.
In conclusion, I hope to join the USC academic family someday soon. My career has prepared me sufficiently to undertake the challenges required to succeed at the next level of education. USC has been extremely beneficial to my professional career, with offering
One thing that is unique about me that might not be apparent from my application is my undying will to tenaciously improve myself. In high school, I started playing football and I was literally the weakest and one of the worst players on my team. Instead of not believing in myself and quitting football, I tenaciously, toiled every day for three years until I improved my strengths and weaknesses as a player. Eventually those around me took notice of my massive improvement and I have since applied this unique aspect of myself into everything that I pursue. With the intent of becoming a Professional Engineer, I would like to transfer to Texas A&M University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. The purpose of my essay is to explain to you exactly why I want to transfer to Texas A&M and how joining Texas A&M would profit me.
Overall, I am hardworking, assertive and enthusiastic about ensuring that I achieve my goals and would like to progress further in order to become a computer scientist . I am looking forward for the challenges ahead during my time at the university- both socially and
Utah / California Compare and Contrast Utah and California have numerous similarities and differences from post Native American settlement, religious affiliation, to demographic concentrations. Both states are in the western United States but I believe that there are more obvious differences between the states then similarities between them. A majority of lower and mid western US states has seen the exploration efforts of the Spanish, but other then this the settlement efforts of Utah and California have a bigger presence of distinctions. Utah can be seen being settled by the Latter Day Saints to escape religious persecution from those in the US east, while California rather than religion experienced immigration and settlement due to the
Cal Poly Pomona is a very unique school in which it has the largest Cal State University systems. It also is one of the great options when thinking about going to a CSU school. I would love to be accepted into Cal Poly Pomona because I am interested in their learning-by-doing philosophy. I think the idea of learning by seeing how to do things yourself is very effective. The university also has my major that I want to study in. This school would be a good fit for my personal needs and career aspirations because it has the major I want, is locally efficient, and is one of the few universities that teaches students by having them do it themselves.
Through my experiences and achievements at California Baptist University, I can gain an academic advantage over my peers attending other schools. The amount of programs and majors offered at CBU will help me develop as an educated and experienced woman with a strong educational background at CBU. With the help of CBU, I can grow into my full potential and maintain a great headstart in entering the real world with a strong mentality of maturity. I have always maintained upstanding grades and high GPA in high school, and my attendance at CBU will merely continue my pattern of success.
¨Sometimes you may be ´super underrated.´ But usually itś the underrated, the underdogs, the dreamers, the idealists, the fighters, the argumentative-- those are the folks who do the biggest things.¨ (Barack Obama). The University of California Irvine is a vastly diverse, innovative, and investigative university with a major intellectual and cultural center, as they captivate the community through public activities and events. UCI was one of the three newest UC campuses established in the 1960ś. On October 4th 1965, the campus began operations with 1,589 students, 241 staff members, 119 faculty, and 43 teaching assistants. At its time of opening, UCI was only at 75% in completion of campus. Since it was founded in 1965, UCI has been able to
The University of Southern California promotes five pillars for all of its students to embody: faithful, scholarly, skillful, courageous, and ambitious. Of these five traits, a student’s possession of courage will take him or her on the greatest path to success. USC relates the trait “courageous” to itself by proclaiming that students “are bold when faced with opportunities to contribute to USC’s continuous efforts to build a greater university for generations to come” (“Five Traits of a Trojan”). While this is true, this boldness is not necessarily shown immediately or developed overnight. In addition, it is true that USC being courageous will benefit USC for generations to come. Nevertheless, courage will also greatly benefit the
In my opinion, UW-Green Bay is a perfect fit for me because of my personal skills and traits. I have always been a natural leader among my peers, and I have always been willing to help anyone in need. I respect every person I see with the same respect that I would prefer back, and I never give up when times get tough. I love both watching and playing athletics, meeting new people and creating new relationships, and thinking critically when problems ever arise. Because all the things I just listed are what make me, “me,” and I believe all these parts of me fit the mission statement for UW-Green Bay: with the goal to serve every student with an unforgettable educational experience and, “to think critically and address complex issues in a multicultural and evolving world.” I plan to one day become a medical doctor, in which I work my hardest every day to save lives and help people with the integrity, knowledge, and citizenship traits that make up my personality, traits that I believe will push my fellow students to become great students and even better people, overall making UW-Green Bay even more desireable and enriching then it already is. UW-Green Bay students are respectful, have integrity, are leaders of the workforce, and everything that I strive to become, which is why I believe definitely, “fit,” this
I felt more than a little surprised when my family moved from California to Utah. The first surprise was finding out that Utah existed, and the second was the language. Everybody spoke English, but there were small, interesting differences. T’s tended to be rounded almost to the point of a D. Mountain, for example, sounded like “moundin.” Stake houses, where people would gather and eat, were very different than steakhouses, where people would gather and eat. Things were different in Utah.
One reason I would be successful at VCU is because I am a diligent hard worker. In the second grade, my Celiac disease caused me to fall behind in understanding key academia. To catch up, I worked twice as hard, so that when I entered the fourth grade I was caught up. Also, when I entered high school I tried out for the girls' varsity tennis team and was cut. In order to still be part of the team, I became the manager and worked with the coach all year to eventually become a player worthy of being on the team the following year.
My academic achievements and work experience meet, if not exceed, the requirements of the position. I strongly believe my intimate knowledge of the College of
