The Chevrolet Colorado Provides Best-In-Class Performance and Comfort
The Chevrolet Colorado puts the power of a truck into the hands of those who are looking for something lightweight, but with cargo and towing capacity. A full-sized truck is not always the best answer, especially when driveway or garage space is limited. The smaller midsize Colorado offers all of the benefits of a truck without taking up the space of a full-sized truck.
In 2004, General Motors introduced the Colorado as a replacement for their popular S10 trucks, and the Colorado has proven to be just as popular. The 2016 diesel model is the proud recipient of the 2016 Motor Trend Truck of the Year award. The diesel is a new model option for 2016.
The Colorado offers power, performance and fuel efficiency. Its 2.8L turbo diesel engine sports 181 hp and gives the truck the best-in-class towing capacity of 7,700 lbs, which makes it a good choice for work or play. If you want more power, the 3.6L DOHC V6 delivers 305 hp at 6,800 rpms with a rear axle ratio of 3.42. The V6

The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado is a 3/4 size truck, but it still provides all you need in a truck. You can do it all, go through the dirt and offroading, or tow things behind you, or stay in town and go to the store, as an everyday vehicle. Unlike a lot of big trucks, it will fit in the garage. At least as far as hauling, towing, and fuel economy goes. The truck also does pretty well on gas; in town, drivers should see about 20-25 mpg, plus 35 mpg (in some cases even more) on the highway. Additionally, when towing something, you should expect about 18 mpg or so, but that will depend on how much you are

I own a 1979 F150 XLT Ranger. Before the Ranger became a compact truck, it was full size. Mine happens to be 4 wheel drive. I love it. I have been the proud owner for 15 years. I will never sell it. Marketers of the F-150 truck line traditionally target the construction industry with heavy towing capabilities and large carrying capacities. In January of 2015, “Ford starts most comprehensive truck marketing campaign to introduce the toughest, smartest, most capable F-150 ever” (Ford Motor Company, 2014). Marketers again target the working class men who depend on reliability, durability, and capability. Ford bombards the television ads, radio talk shows, consumer websites, print ads, and Hispanic sports competitions with information promising toughness. On the first day of the campaign, Ford placed three television commercials during a nationally televised college playoff football game showcasing the 2016 F-150. The first commercial, forward march, introduced the F-150 as being tougher, smarter, and more capable than the competition. The second advertisement, what’s next, concentrated on innovations such as a remote releasing tailgate, LED lighting, and a three hundred sixty degree exterior camera. The third commercial, move it, let consumers know that the 2015 F-150 has the best-in-class, six ton capacity payload (Ford Motor Company, 2014). The official Ford website has various videos informing the consumer on various topics including: road handling, an aluminum body that reduces the truck weight by seven hundred pounds, six ton load capacity, back up turning knob control and camera, safety, fuel efficiency, strength, and innovation (2014).
