On July 9 at approximately 1800 I observed an individual walking up the Priest Rapids Road towards the intake. As he was walking up he would stop and began yelling and screaming at something towards the dam. I hurried and grab my patrol radio along with my keys for the patrol car. I got on the radio and inform priest control that I was on site. They asked if I was aware of the gentleman walking across the damn. I informed them that yes I was and that I was heading up towards the intake deck to make contact. They informed me that it look like he was carrying something sharp in his hand. When I pulled up to him and got out of the vehicle I could see that his hands were up in his fist were clinched. As I got closer I noticed that he had a small …show more content…
He said he wanted Adele over at the Indian village arrested for attempted murder of his mother. He also told me how this was his land and that he was coming to claim it back for himself and that she had stolen his Social Security check as well. I asked Malcolm if he would continue walking towards the end of the damn and that I would follow behind in the vehicle and we would talk about what was going on. When I got back in the vehicle I called priest control on the radio and asked them to send a grant County vehicle out as I believe that Malcolm was under the influence and was upset. Priest control informed me that they had already called Grant County and that they were on their way. Once we were off the spillway he began telling me how the village was a nuclear launch site. He continued to say incoherent things about matters that had nothing to pertain to what he had told me on the spillway. I asked him if he could put down the screwdriver and the bullet. He put his fist back up in the air and gave me an aggressive look like he wanted to attack me I told Malcolm that I was not here to hurt him in anyway and that I was here to try to help him. After I told Malcolm that he put down the screwdriver and

Besides water, a seedling needs sunlight to grow even more. Metaphorically, volunteering with special ed children is my Sun because it makes me grow interest on the causes of these defects in children. Three years ago before I started volunteering with Easter Seals Blake Foundation, I was viewing the world ignorantly. As soon as I began interacting with typical and Special ed kids, I began noticing the differences in the lives of these children. I would supervise them by playing games and doing activities, like coloring, which helped in the sense of me creating a bond with the kids. Quickly, I was able to see the comparison and contrast of barriers special ed and typical kids have. Most of them did not have the same interest in coloring like

I really enjoyed my time I spent during my observation sessions with Angie, her family Shane, Katie, and little sister Mae (sister’s name changed for confidentiality), and with her peers and teachers at school. I have learned a lot from this course which provided great reading materials to help give a better understanding working with special needs children and their families. The weekley video’s helped to give a visual idea when working side by side children with disabilities.
