Obesity
Obesity is the condition of being grossly fat or overweight. It also can be an abnormal accumulation of body fat. Being obese as a child seems to increase the chance of being obese in adulthood. Childhood obesity beginning as early as 2 years of age can affect health in adulthood, as these children are at increased risk of becoming obese adults. Also, the children would be more likely to develop chronic disease. Some adulthood statistics are about 68.8 adults are considered obese. About 8 percent of women are considered to be obese. These statistics are the years 2009-2010. I received this information from https://www.niddk.nih.gov/health.../health-statistics/.../overweight-obesity-statistics.aspx. The statistics below show the percent of children that are considered to obese between the age 2-19.

Rochman, Bonnie, and Bonnie Rochman. "Childhood Obesity: Most U.S. Schools Don’t Require P.E. Class or Recess | TIME.com." Time. Time, n.d. Web. 01 Sept. 2015. Only six states require P.E. at some point in high school, including Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Illinois and Iowa. If we were to require P.E. before you graduate, it may make some people angry, but it could be a great way to help with one of the worst problems in the world. The author, Bonnie Rochman, reports that 39 states do not require recess at all, at any level of school. Kids need time to run around and have some physical activity during the day, and recess is a good way to provide that. Rochman states that many schools are cutting physical

Obesity is an epidemic in the United States. Not only is it one that impacts millions of adults, it also impacts children. Studies show that close to 40% of Americans are obese and 20% of children are obese as well. The best way to focus on changing the narrative is through being the change you want to see. Start with your family. Healthy eating, adequate amounts of rest and lots of water are some of the most important parts of the journey to health. Furthermore, it's really essential to begin a habit of consistent exercise. Consider these four options for exercise and enjoy them with the whole family.
I honestly was not going to be able to eat the spinach raw, I am not Popeye; therefore, I decided to add lime and salt to ½ cup of spinach, during three days, and I ate it with rice from Monday to Wednesday.
Overweight and obesity are risk factors for diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and other health problems. Since there is no single cause of all overweight and obesity, there is no single way to prevent or treat overweight and obesity that will help everyone. Treatment may include a combination of diet, exercise, behavior modification, and sometimes weight-loss drugs. In some cases of extreme obesity, bariatric surgery may be recommended. Once the disease is there it plans on staying there is no easy way of getting rid of it. We have to plan early and quick that is the importance and the message trying to be conveyed. We must make an early strike to prevent further

Check food labels for the number of grams of carbohydrates and protein in each serving. This is important.
In the last hundred years, childhood obesity has gone from nearly nonexistent, to something we deal with each and every day (Larson, June 2010). In just the last decade however, it has tripled. Seeing children running in their yards used to be something normal, but now, it is something rare. Instead, 25% of our children are watching over 4 hours of television a day. Childhood obesity has become more common over the years, and it is only going to continue. Becoming involved with your children, and encouraging them to exercise will reduce their risk.
Obesity is consumer to many calories than the body can take. Therefore, causing people to store more and more fats then they should. Obesity is growing in this world to this day. The reason it has gone up so much is because food is more available then it was in the past. The lack of exercise is also a cause for obesity. Only 20 percent of jobs today require some physical activity. This percentage has gone down about 30 percent from the 1900s. When people become obese they can also become depressed from getting bullied and not being able to help them from becoming obese. Every teenager wants to have the perfect body image but fail when it comes to food. Not everybody is built for the perfect body and can not lose the weight that they need to because there body needs the stuff that they can't lose. More obesity is seen in adults these days, rather then teenagers.
The continued concern over childhood obesity is a major topic across the United States and continues to be a newsworthy topic. The Public Health Research, Practice, and Policy published a study that looked at the associations between a family's income in comparison to the physical fitness and obesity of children in California schools between 2010 through 2012. (Jin Y., Jones-Smith JC., 2012)
Childhood obesity has doubled in children and quadrupled for adolescents in the last thirty years. Obesity and overweight rates in children are higher among families living below the poverty line. The diabetes rate is higher in children living in poverty. Families that are living in poverty cannot afford the fresh produce and healthier foods due to the rising cost.
The for my evidence based project is childhood obesity prevention. Childhood obesity is a significant problem in society today. Obesity in children have almost tripled over the past three decades. Obesity in children appears to be increasing in children at a faster rate than obesity in problem. Despite the amount of research evidence and recommendations on childhood obesity many primary care providers are not doing enough to prevent childhood obesity (Vine, Hargreaves, Briefel & Orfield, 2013).
Obesity is a major public health issue. Obesity contributes to an estimated 112,000 preventable deaths a year. Obese adults are at increased risk for many bad health conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, and respiratory problems, also endometrial, breast, prostate, and colon cancers. Children with high body mass index which means obesity or unhealthy eating, are more likely than those with a normal BMI to have insulin resistance, high blood pressure, and unhealthy levels of fats and other problems. Obese children often become obese adults,
What is childhood obesity? Childhood obesity is when a child is above the normal weight for his or her age and height. There is an epidemic of childhood obesity in the United States and throughout the world. According to Center for Disease Control and Prevention, “The percentage of children aged 6–11 years in the United States who were obese increased from 7% in 1980 to nearly 20% in 2008. Nearly 43 million children under the age of five were overweight in 2010” (Child Obesity Facts). A serious medical condition affects children and adolescents. Childhood obesity is an increasing health problem in the world and unless actions are taken to prevent it, this problem will continue. Even though there are many causes such as environment, fast food,
