I feel by attending at Colorado Christian University will give me opportunity to advance my career with Frontier Communications. I am wanting to go into training which requires intensive communication skills along with leadership and organizational skills. I also want to continue my education to display and model to my 2 children that you can reach your goals no matter what obsicles that may come to try to deter you. I was pregnant with my first child at 15 years of age. The struggle from having a child at a young age was a very difficult and challenging time in my life. During that time I had no thoughts of continuing my education beyond high school. Some days I had no energy, I no focus, and even determination, I was at a point where I was only surviving day to day was …show more content…
This really put me into gear to be the best mother and provider I could be for my children. I realized being an excellent provider would require me to continue my education. Then after I attended Ivy Tech Community College where I studied Business Administration. I attended Ivy Tech Community College on a part time basis for 2 years. I earned credits in the following classes: English, Math, Microsoft Office 2010, Recordkeeping, Business Communication, and several other core classes. During my time at Ivy Tech Community College I was very successful at continuing my education and working full time at the same time. During two semesters I was placed on the Dean’s List for averaging a 3.8 GPA during that school year. This was quite an accomplishment for me. This success helped me to know I could be a successful college graduate one day. In 2013 I was hired as a sales consultant for Frontier Communications where I exceeded in meeting our monthly goals and being recognized for meeting weekly performance contest for my team. By June of 2014 my team had been recognized as number 1 for the highest sales in a 6 month
I want to major in Psychology at CSU Stanislaus. I plan to pursue a Bachelor's than afterward a Master's degree. My dream job is to become a Councilor. I want to make an impact on people as I move through life. I want to make a difference. Community Service to me is the selfless act to help out. Even in the smallest ways one can be making our community a better way! Just offering to help someone who seems to be struggling to put bags in their car is helping your community. I want to live and be in a community where people care about one another. I try personally to be part of the movement for a community that cares for one another. I like to do simple acts as the one given as a example above. I also volunteered at a local retirement home originally
Looking back, I regard attending WBU one of my best lifetime decisions. Before I discuss my experiences at WBU, it would be prudent to first give a brief background of myself. To begin with, I have had the opportunity of serving my country in the military and in a way; this has largely shaped my personality and my outlook of life. In that regard, I have come to appreciate the value of life more than ever before. Further, the time I have served in the military has taught me that success is possible in any facet of life with the right attitude, determination and personal sacrifice.
Watching my friends’ face quiver in disgust after recounting my experience of a videofluoroscopicy and my excitement from viewing the barium travel through the oropharyngeal and pharyngeal phases of swallowing, I realized I wanted to study the extraordinary field of Communication Sciences and Disorders. During my undergraduate career at East Carolina University, my anatomy and physiology class further fostered my enthusiasm for the field when discovering how intricate and complex it is for the human body to perform a simple task such as breathing and swallowing. I was able to utilize my thirst for knowledge of the human anatomy working in Dr. Perry’s Speech Imaging and Visualization Laboratory and enhance my writing skills by reviewing peer reviewed journal articles. Ultimately working and observing lab assistants create 3D anatomical models of the laryngeal mechanism, velopharyngeal mechanism, swallowing mechanism, skull and cranium,
Clark Atlanta University is the institution that will allocate the resources I need to be successful as a leader in the future. Over the years, family members, friends, mentors, teachers, and advisors have implemented tools into my educational career to get me to this point in my life. As I transition into a freshman in college, it is now my job to use the tools CAU will give to me to make a change. Through the Dual Degree Engineering Program, I will be able to study Architectural Engineering. Consistent studies and research will give me the insight I need to impact and change the social environments around me. The trust I put in the university’s faculty and procedures will allow me to flourish into an excellent leader and role model that will make a positive influence on the environment of the campus and off campus.
I would love to be a part of Central Michigan's athletic training program. I have a deep love and passion for sports. After High School I would still want to be in the sports field and I also like caring for people which would make Athletic training the field for me. I am currently a captain on my basketball and track team. I make others around me better and take on the role of being a leader. My goal is to graduate and get my degree. After that I envision myself being a strength and conditioning coach or an athletic trainer. I want to be a good athletic trainer at a college or pro level.
Before I answer the questions posed, I believe an explanation is owed regarding this request for admission into Saybrook. I originally applied to The Chicago School of Professional Psychology seeking a degree in business psychology. Since the program was not ready to start for another year, it was suggested that I take courses in the international psychology program. I thoroughly enjoyed this new experience with an opportunity to “think global”. I optioned to remain in this program with a concentration in organizations and systems. As I sojourned through, I was always aware that there was still something missing. Although I loved being part of the IP program, my roots are deeply entrenched in the world of organizational development (OD).
I am a senior at Ontario High School and am expecting to graduate this May. I was born in Querendaro, Mexico and then moved to Ontario, Oregon. While in high school I have already obtained a few college credits at a reduced price, but even though I obtained them at a reduced price it was still challenging to pay for them. In my house, there is my two parents, my two sisters and myself, all living with one parent household income and some help. I also had the advantage to complete the Certified Nursing Program as a high school student through the Allied Health. Since I got the opportunity to obtain these college credits and complete the CNA program while in high school, I took the fullest advantage.
The transition from being a child, dependent upon parents for everything, to an independent adult is one of the most stressful times a person will endure. Legally speaking, 18 is the age when you become an adult but the number doesn’t describe the responsibilities and independence you must take on. College is seen as the “big step” into the real world and many people struggle in choosing where to make their transition. I would like to take my “big step” by attending Florida Atlantic University.
So I continued on this course, and after high school got a part time job working with CIS (Communities In Schools) in Brunswick County. I worked there part time as an after school teacher. The program was designed to help at risk kids stay on track by connecting with resources from the community and extra academic guidance to help them learn. I loved this job and the children so much, so during the day I was attending the community college to try and start pursuing my goal.
My desire to work in the Catholic School system stems primarily from the ability to share my faith openly in such an environment, however, the Catholic School’s focus on the growth of the whole person, spiritual and academic and its commitment to service in the community and the world are also very important to me.
As a Christian counseling, I realize that I am an adjunct, specializing in a practice that is appropriately attached to and derived from the core practice, as it is legally defined (Clinton and Ohlschlager, p133). I also realize that I am more than a counselor; however, I have become a soul-care artisan, a disciple, a mentor, a spiritual director, and a guide into the deeper way of Christ (p132). Therefore, every Christian counseling session, I have encountered, has started with a prayer, to welcome God into the midst, as the Holy Spirit take the lead and guides what is said by me, as the counselor. As a Christian counselor, it is my hope that my knowledge of Spiritual formation reshapes the inner man, by being formed spiritually from the inside out, transforming from a selfish and carnal existence to a holy and joyful one; by one’s faith, as well as, the client’s faith, in God (Clinton and Ohlschlager, p130)

As a student at California Baptist University I will strive to be the best student I can be. I count on this university to prepare me for the real world and build towards my future and career. I hope CBU provides me with a lot of experience and hands on training, so that when I graduate I will be prepared. I’m determined to expand my knowledge and become a well rounded individual. I wish to broaden my learning skills overall and become a better student. Learning in a college environment will be different compared to high school, however I am looking forward to obtaining new information from the teachers at CBU.
Out of all of the skin care products in the world, your bathroom cabinet needs to be filled with products researched and designed by me. When I entered high school, I discovered my passion for selecting lip sticks, lip glosses, lotions, perfumes, and makeup foundations. You name it. After learning about the connections between the information in my chemistry class and these items, a light bulb went off! I maintained an A average in chemistry throughout the whole year! Additionally, in 2014, I became a student in the Academy of Engineering and Technology, which also heightened my interests in chemistry. In a science fair at that academy, there was a chemistry course where we made colorful slime, and during that process, I learned that I get an adrenaline rush when I am mixing different chemicals together to see what the outcome is. Majoring in chemistry at Norfolk State University will definitely prepare me for a very successful future in chemistry! My ultimate goal is to conduct research and development for chemical cosmetics. I plan to obtain employment at the greatest companies in the world such as L'Oréal and Avon.
A significant moment in my life is the day I had the good fortune of meeting with Temple University, Japan Campus representative, Nathan Crowne at Santa Monica College’s College Fair last year. I was immediately connected to Nathan and his enthusiastic introduction of TUJ. TUJ’s affordability is most remarkable to me because as a low-income student it will support my financial situation and allow for me to pursue my goals to travel the world, become multilingual and become an attorney. Ever since I met with Nathan, TUJ has become my number one choice for transfer. I am writing in hopes that you will favorably consider my application.
