A Christian worldview is different for many believers. The one thing about having a Christian worldview is that it offers hope, peace, and redemption to the sinful and chaotic world. We serve an autonomous God, who loves us enough to restore us through salvation. A loving God who seeks redemption instead of vengeance. A Christian worldview affects what and how we believe, how we interact with other denominations, non-believers, and cultures, and provides us with the courage, knowledge, and understanding to face our struggles. The first and most important theme in a Christian worldview is believing in the one true God. (Deuteronomy 4:35) A creator, who is proven through creation, scriptures, and in science, took a darkened void and created …show more content…
We have to fully trust his words and prepare ourselves for the battle with the adversary. It is good versus evil. Compare it to the game of football. When preparing for the game the team gears up in their belts, padding, uniform, helmet, cleats, and gloves to help us grip the ball. (Ephesians 6:10-18) Evil knows all the plays, all the stats, Evil can predict what moves will be made. Team Evil knows Team Good has a winning season. They will stop at nothing to gain the advantage, so they cheat, cause injuries, and create penalties to cause Team Good to lose yards and to push them back toward the goal from Hell. They place their defense at every angle on the field to try to intercept the ball and to stop Team Good from scoring. Every member of that team Evil is headed straight for the quarterback. The power and authority given to the linemen are blocking and protecting. The receivers are running to get open for the pass. The defense is closing in. The quarterback hands it off to the running back. The running back finds an opening in the defensive line and is pushing through the gap, digging his feet deep into the ground to keep from being pushed backwards. The offense is struggling to get to the end zone. They are pushing against the force of the defense with all their might. Jesus, the coach, is calling out to his team, speaking to the chaos of the struggle and saying, “Keep going! Push harder! Don’t quit! Your almost there!” (2 Timothy 4:7) His words are ministering to them through every inch of the field. Providing them with instructions and motivation. Putting his words into action, they push for one more inch until they have finally have reached the goal line. TOUCHDOWN! The struggle to the end zone is over and the struggle is conquered through
I agree with the article when it talks about the importance of a Christian worldview. I think this article get the point of a Christian worldview in a diverse way, which is often largely neglected. I have heard from many people how important it is to view everything through the lens of God and the Bible, but they say this in a way that sounds afraid. It is almost like if they try to look at the world through other’s perspectives or let theirs be changed then they will be ruined. I do not agree with that mentality. Christianity is diverse. There are some beliefs that cannot be changed, the nature of Jesus and equally God and equally man is an example. But it is very easy to think that every little thing we believe is set in stone when we are in some very controlled
A biblical worldview encourages people to consider the great love that God has for them and all the ways he extends forgiveness and patience to those exercising faith in him. Luke 10:27 encourages Christians to love thy neighbor as thyself. This principle suggests that tenderness, kindness and love should be shown to others in thought, word, and deed just as God shows it to his children. The Christian worldview offers that God has a role for everyone to fill and a will for their lives. Proverbs 3:56 encourages Christians to look for God s direction in all things and not to lean unto their own understanding. Through thoughtful prayer and introspection the direction one should take in life that will make full use of his or her talents and gifts will be revealed. It should, of course, be work of an honest nature and morally appropriate for a true Christian (Growing Christian Resources, 2015) (Open Bible,
What is a worldview? To have a world view means that you have created a personal opinion of life. Those opinions you have created, help you make decisions as well as help you learn how to portray the world around you. As to be expected, one man’s worldview will not be the same as yours but it is always good to share your views with other people to hopefully open their eyes to your perception on certain topics. Finally it’s also good to listen to other people’s views to expand your own personal knowledge on the Christian world view.
When it comes to defining what is the true essence of the Christian worldview, it must be noted that there is not a single point of which serves as the essence but rather the essence of Christianity comes from many of its key points. The first point that serves as part of the foundation that creates the essence of the Christian worldview would be the belief in God's existence. This may seem quite obvious since one of the key tenets of any theistic worldview is the belief a higher power but this should not be overlooked since it is an extremely vital part. Such a belief in a higher power is extremely important since it creates a worldview that is extremely different from those within the Atheistic family. This is because the assumption that
A worldview is the way a person views and interprets the world around them. Life experiences and spiritual influences play a part in forming one’s worldview. A person’s worldview helps them to determine beliefs on creation, humanity, morals and what happens after death. According to Waddell, (2014) “Worldviews are also like lenses found in eyeglasses that serve as the means through which a person sees the world.” (para. 43) In this paper, the main components of the Christian worldview will be discussed, to include God, humanity, Jesus, restoration and analysis of Christian Faith as well as a reflection of my own beliefs.
The first foundational aspect of the worldview is found in who God is. The Christian’s worldview of God is that God is part of the Trinity, which is made up of three persons: The Father, the Son (who is fully God and man), and the Holy Spirit, but they are all one God (Diffey, 2014). God is the sovereign creator of all things, “All things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together,” (Colossians 1: 16-17, English Standard Version). Love was the defining factor for God creating the world, “God’s act of creation is an act of love of the purest sort” (Dodds & Dodds, 2011, p. 210). God created the world and is still actively involved in it because, “If God’s creative activity is needed to account for the first existence of the world, there is every reason to think that it would be needed to account

The Trinity is made up of three persons: The Father, the Son (who is fully God and man), and the Holy Spirit, but they are all one God (Diffey, 2014). Existence is possible because of God. God, “created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1, English Standard Version). God created the world and is still actively involved in it because, “If God’s creative activity is needed to account for the first existence of the world, there is every reason to think that it would be needed to account for the world’s persistence” (McCann, 2012, p. 24). God did not create the world and leave it because, “God’s act of creation is an act of the purest sort” (Dodds & Dodds, 2011, p. 210). God’s love goes hand in hand with God’s wisdom. Wisdom is a
Everyone has a Worldview. “A collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by an individual or a group.” (1) Some have a Biblical Worldview. A Biblical Worldview is founded on the word of God. It is how a Christian views the world. Both belief systems are equally important to each individual, but there are differences in the way they view the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and culture.
Everyone knows that when you plan on building anything you need the proper foundations to support whatever you plan on building. Whether you are building with Legos or actual wood, having the right foundation is important. To understand what a worldview is, one must first define it. According to Hiles and Smith (2014), a worldview “is a foundational set of assumptions to which one commits that serves as a framework for understanding and interpreting reality and deeply shapes one’s behavior”. This foundation starts at the very moment someone is born because “worldviews begin to form before people are aware that they are trusting in anything” (Hiles and Smith, 2014). The purpose of this paper is to discover the

3) In Luke 19:10 and Genesis 3:15, God has redeemed the world through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, and will one day restore creation to its former perfect state, as stated in Isaiah 65:17-25. A Christian worldview seeks for us to believe in moral truths, miracles, human dignity and respect, and the possibility of salvation through Jesus Christ.
A Christian worldview leads us to believe in moral absolutes, miracles, human dignity, and the possibility of redemption.
Due to the "highly subjective nature of most scientific theorizing... [we should] let the Bible speak for itself and modify our scientific view of origins accordingly." (as cited in Downey, D., & Porter, S., 2009).
Worldview is how someone would view the world around them. In a person’s world view it controls how their lives is lived out in the world, and how they would respond to certain things that goes on around them in the world. A person’s worldview is important to them, because it plays a big part in their lives, and they make ethical and moral decisions based on what their worldview is. A Christian’s worldview is described in how a person follows the teaching of Jesus in the bible, and he or she is committed to following Jesus teachings. According to John 14 verse 6 “Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life.” (The NIV Rainbow Study Bible, 2017). Christians believe in God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit, three in
A Christian Worldview explains the framework of ideas and beliefs through which a Christian individual, group or culture interprets the world and interact with it (Tackett, nd.). Someone with a Biblical worldview believes his primary reason for existence is to love and serve God, believing everything in the Bible as truth allowing it to be the foundation for everything you say and do (Tackett, nd.). Having a Christian Worldview and becoming an entrepreneur can go hand in hand.
