I one time jumped off a building just to show how much I deeply loved a girl. I have to admit when I was nine, I was such a sucker for love. I have forever known that I am drawn to the opposite gender. I love being around them, but then again, I always have been too nervous to show my feelings toward them.
Amanda was somewhat the girl any boy would fall in love with the minute he set his eyes on her. Like a princess, she had long, smooth hair, huge dazzling eyes, and a gorgeous grin. The first time I saw Amanda was on the inaugural day of my fourth grade. I fell in love with her almost instantaneously. If you ask me she was the prettiest girl in my school. I knew right at that instant that I needed to do something to give her a chance to notice

Sometimes I am very shy. However, I own a character or visual aspect that just draws people to their liking. Amanda was also very well-known mainly due to her good looks. Because of the tightness of the race, the teacher decided that Amanda and I should both be the president. The class president's duty was to sustain the class in an orderly manner when Ms. Green left for a brief period. We would listen to students' complaints about other students and help sustain the peace in the classroom. As a result of the seating circumstance and our shared responsibilities as peace officers, Amanda and I became really close. Still, we were only best friends and nothing more. I never told Amanda how I felt about her, although I suppose she was starting to …show more content…
Antonio and I never had a problem both liking the same young lady. We every so often goofed around and told each other what we would make out if Amanda were to be with one of us. Although, Antonio was the best-looking guy in the class, that didn’t stop me from trying. I knew I had to discover a way to tell Amanda how I felt around her yet if she already sensed it.
One day while playing on the top of our classroom as we regularly did. Amanda said that a boy who was fearless enough to jump off this building we were on, she would be his girlfriend. I quickly jumped off the building before Amanda completed her sentence. Everyone just screamed. In panic Amanda shouted "oh my god!" and began to cry. When I eventually stood up from the painful fall, I looked up to see not even one single person. Apparently, the entire class assumed I was a freak, as well as Amanda. I ended up limping five months for that foolish attempt to win Amanda’s heart.
My relationship with Amanda was never the same after that issue. Amanda would just talk to me when it was about assignments. Four months after the jumping incident, the school year had ended. We both went our separate ways during the summer break. Amanda and I were even in the same class that following fall, but we never talked to each other once
Developing strong interpersonal skills has been an important subject for me since middle school. Coming into high school, I was a very shy, insecure girl who only had about one or two friends. As a freshman, I felt that it was time for me to break out of my shell if I wanted to get anywhere in life. I firmly believe that joining the Kempner High School Student Council has been the most positive influence on my life. Considering my lifetime goals, overcoming my fear of communicating with new people was something that needed to happen.
Many times I do not really pay attention to the presidential elections mainly because I myself had been too young in the past to vote. But this year is my year. I finally have a chance to have a hand in the decision of our nation’s leader. But this election has a different sort of edge. This edge being the effect of social media. Parts of rallies and debates are being broadcasted via social networks which are allowing people all over the world to have input on what is going on.
Last year in 6th grade, I met a girl named Ayanna. When I first met her, she was really quiet, but then quickly became outspoken.
There have been a couple times I have had to be a leader. My freshman, sophomore, and junior years, I was class president. This meant putting meetings together and running them, making sure we had a yearly fundraiser, and creating various homecoming activities including a float. The other students in my class voted me into that position, and there was no way I was going to let them down. As class president I showed leadership by listening to others and being open-minded, having confidence in what I was doing, and having patience when things were not going in the right direction.
Change is a critical factor for growth as well as a leader who's dedicated to alter can become a catalyst in the development procedure. Obama has a catalytic direction fashion and so he's effective at coming up with successful alternatives by inspiring various constituencies, in challenging circumstances. Through his leadership skills that are natural and strong, he can organize the various constituencies in the procedure for decision making. The direction style is against the driving upon others of his will. The exceptional communication ability as well as the multicultural heritage are a number of the significant private features of Obama as an effective leader. To the planet, a fresh fashion of American direction
I am a young entrepreneur, musician, athlete . From a very young age I have known what I wanted to do with my life and who I wanted to be. I want to major in Finance and build a career at an investment bank, while at the same time building up a real estate business and stock portfolio. I hope to join and be involved in a start up and take it to an IPO. I will use my capital and experience from my Career and business to become a venture capitalist to help fund and advise other entrepreneurs to take their company to an IPO. For a hobby I taught myself how to play piano and now compose my own music and am working towards publishing my own music. I am the student body president at my school and hold office positions in many other clubs at my school as well.
I am currently taking English 111 and this is my first time ever taking a hybrid class. Needless to say I am not sure what to expect. The first thing that popped in my head is, “I need to look at my syllabus.” My syllabus is located on Black Board. Once I glanced over it, I knew that this was going to be my road map for the class. If I needed to get in touch with my instructor for any reason this was going to tell me when and how. It also was going to tell me what to expect from this class and what this instructor is going to expect of me.
The most important role for a student leader to have is a team player who shares the work and the credit. The most important role for a student teacher to have is a team player that shares the work and credit. If the student leader takes all the credit for himself then he/she will bring down the other players/students, the other players/students won't feel as good, and the other players/students wouldn't be looked at like the same as the student leader.
Good Morning my fellow staff, students and governors of the senior school. I come here in front of you in order to explain why I would be the best suited candidate for the role of student president. I ask that you choose me for this auspicious role because I believe --- no I know that I will do a tremendously at this task. Why? You may ask. Well it is because I believe that I represent what John Quincy Adams once said which is; “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” These are my goals if I am elected as school president.
Thank you for all of the encouragement and support so far. I wanted to give a friendly reminder to come out and vote tomorrow! Voting takes place in the Student Union from 9am-4pm.
Only my best friend, at the time, Nicole Zuniga, knew about the way I felt about Juan. She would always urge me to tell him and she would never dissuade me like the good friend she was. She would never fail to drop random hints about my feelings to Juan. I didn’t want to tell him because I was afraid he would reject me and shame me in front of my other classmates. It seemed overwrought to tell Juan how I felt, but with a confident
In fact, she was never much of anything. She was never popular (as all around her abhorred her presence). She too quiet, choosing to sit on the sidelines of any and all social situations. She was never funny, suffering from a dark and cynical nature. She was ugly as sin. She chose to dress like our granny Sue, and everything down to her very hair style was an anachronism. She chose to hold on to her matte black pager, even though the only ones that used that stupid piece of outdated tech were doctors and drug dealers.
Amanda seems to identify with two things: the apartment in which the Wingfields live, and the dinner at the end of the play. Amanda doesn’t pay rent at the apartment, but it reminds her of her dream world where she has control. She displays her authority by controlling certain actions that are preformed inside her home such as when you can leave and proper eating. The dinner at the end of the story brings Amanda back to her teenage years where she had men over, and she was back in her home-town. Jim is put into the story to remind Amanda of reality in which she deflects this and continues to act in her unrealistic world. He reminds her that she is still acting as she claims to have acted “as gay as a
Obama didn’t have an easy road to the oval office. His story, amongst other presidents, is one that embodies the true will of the American dream. A lot of people don’t know that Obama’s father abandoned him when he was young to pursue a degree at Harvard. Nor do they know that Obama lived in Indonesia as a child, or that he went back to his roots in Kenya to meet his family members.
We met last year on the 2nd or 3rd day of school, and I thought she was a stuck up brat, and that is actually somewhat true, she’s just not stuck up, if you get what I’m saying. I sat by her in history, and I didn’t have a pencil… On the 2nd day of school, I didn’t have a pencil. So I asked her if I could borrow a pencil.
