One last deep breath of the world, one last look of the beautiful blue sky, and one last feeling of life. She put her arms up and her arms pressed against her face. She bent her knees at the perfect angle and leaped. She felt everything come out of her body as she flipped 3 times and landed head first in the water. When she landed in the water, the world went dark from the light of the water for a moment. The water twirled, the fish lost became loving, and the water became a beautiful sea blue. She did it. She not only made it, but she changed the water into goods because she just simply wished that she could overcome this challenge. Shoal Creek Waterfall is now known as the wishing waterfall. Many people visit the waterfall to make wishes, and their wishes come true if they throw something valuable into the waters. Any wish can be given to anyone because goddess Faller built the courage to overcome her fear. Just her completing this challenge encourages other people to work hard to be successful and change the world in their own
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a successful track coach and coach your protégés to a successful season? Through job shadowing, personal experience, and research, I have found out just how much hard work goes into coaching.
Mr. Chambers’s presentation was highly informative and relevant to our class coursework. Learning about his educational background gave me great insight into what it would take to become an Athletic Director on the collegiate and high school level. It is always interesting to learn about the different life events and opportunities that shape where an individual ends up on the professional level. Mr. Chambers had a friendly, laid back style of delivery that was easy to listen to. Having someone from the community who is experienced in the area of athletic administration helped me to make connections between course material and the real world.
In the consuming darkness her body began to float upwards. Her mouth was open, letting in small discreet amounts of air, trying to buy as much time as she could before she ran out. Her fragile body was suspended in an awkward posture with her torso jutted forward and her limbs moving like a clockwork doll. Amongst the relentless whipping of the undulating waves she could hear her sister’s scream. She felt herself rise upwards as she continued to flail. She had to survive. She had to somehow reach the surface of the water and survive. She didn’t want to die. Not now. She was running out of air, no longer able to fight the urge to breathe. She looked up to see the sunlight, but she saw none. Then it dawned on her. She wouldn’t make it. She let
When I think of coaching I think of practice planning, game planning, scouting strategizing of offense and defense, choosing my starters, little things like that. All of those ideas are valid, but that’s not the whole picture. There is a lot more to coaching than planning for a practice or a game. Many times a person who would like to coach an interschool athletic team has little or no preparation to teach sports skills and techniques. The only qualifications is often the person’s participation on his or her high school, college, or university’s team, coach of a community youth team or even perhaps as a professional player. While all that experience is valuable in one way or another, it does not constitute an adequate preparation for
My father, Jason Katcher was my Coach for nine years. We have had our ups and our downs. Through all these years of sports there are these unfathomable moments in time that will be frozen in to my mind. One of these moments was for the championship in a football tournament. My team and I needed a touchdown to when the game. I hear the fans screaming, my heart is pounding, the other team is nervous, I look up less than ten seconds left, forty-five yards to go, I look left I look right like I do before every play and then I look at my coach.
The career path I’ve chosen was to become a football coach. My former football coaches inspire me to chase this career path. I think me becoming a football coach would match my personality because I would want people to do well in life and I would want students that I would coach to grow up to be the best person they can be. This career needs me to have experience with football and the knowledge of the sport of football. I think becoming a football coach would be the most satisfying career path for me because I love the game of football and what it's about.
A Coach is somebody who develops, improves or promotes changes in a persons ability and understanding. Coaches work with another person or a group of people and develops them as people using sport to progress them in their development. All coaches have certain responsibilities towards performers, their sport, their profession and themselves. Below I have identified what a coach may be required to fulfil.
Whenever I wish to learn an advanced skill I turn to my field hockey coach that have taught me everything that I know about the sport. However, they have not only taught me the sport, but also taught me how to be strong, and to trust. As I matured I struggled with believing in myself. It may have taken all four years of my high school career, but they finally got through to me. I know use what they have taught me everyday socially, academically, and athletically. Which in the end, all of they lessons and guidance paid off when I was named Division III player of the year. This was a dream I had since freshmen year and would not have come true without may amazing coaches.
Yeah, Mr. Jack you’re right I’m late, not only by 5 minutes but 6 minutes. As you can see I’m sweating bullets since I just ran here. I was in the gym with Coach Travis, I was shooting on the gun taking it all in, the sparkling of the hardwood floor, the brightness of the lights, and the sound of the gun shooting the ball back to me. I was just doing my thing when all of a sudden I heard Coach Travis say something, “I would sauce you” are the exact words he said. As we all know Coach Travis is pretty good and it would be tough game, but I wasn’t going to just play it off like I didn’t hear it. I said Coach “You may be able to sauce with your Steph Curry handles, but I’ll drain threes in your eye.” I guess I really didn’t know what I was getting

Although I received unsatisfactory results from both questionnaires for coaching, I specifically chose to develop this skill because I want to tackle my fear of disappointing others. Being the child from an immigrant family, I have struggled with an internal battle between my desires and the expectations of others, in regards to my academics and career. With every accomplishment that I made, I was placed on a higher pedestal and grew a fear of its height. Consequently, I have sacrificed many opportunities to aid others achieve their own success because of the overpowering expectations that I would have to assume. For instance, during group projects, my peers would approach me in hopes to receive help on improving their portion of the presentation and I would often give them unspecific advice that would not cater to their learning abilities. After completing these questionnaires, I have realized how much of my conscious and unconscious attention is focused on satisfying other people. This overwhelming sentiment that has grown inside of me has sabotaged my chances of achieving the greatness that I was born to do.
Upon successful completion of this project I will identify an existing problem of a team that I am a part of and I will act as team leader and develop a coaching plan to solve this problem. I will use my current place of employment as an example. As team leader, I will lead the resolution to the problem and build a more cohesive and productive team.
Little to no empirical data exist on the impact of life coaching and achieving goals (Grant, A. M.). Goals are critical factor when it comes to building long term success in life.
