Life begins with lessons. People start learning from a very young age and keep learning new things through their lives. We spend a large chunk of our lives in schools and colleges to learn, to educate ourselves, and to achieve our goals. People, nowadays, want to be important among others, and think themselves as the center of the world. They care about themselves instead of caring about others, or helping others. Brotherhood in our society is decreasing due to lack of communication between people around us. People should be taught on how to be a good person, a good citizen, and a personal best of their own. It is possible to get these qualities in people by simply starting to teach the students because they will be the future of the country. The ways to make good people is to get students to communicate, and help others. Schools should design a course to get students together to perform in groups with the help of others. They should have such assignments that cannot be done individually without the help of other person. The groups should have some bright …show more content…
They should have these courses for the college students who achieve certain level of problem solving skills. Students should be provided with one-on-one counseling so that they can get self-confidence. To make a person his or her personal best they should be trained in such a way that they will be able to face problems with confidence. Working on real situations will help them to find their new talents and skills that they are unaware of. Students should also have the competition between them so that they are always motivated toward their goals. Although studies have shown that competition makes students greedy to defeat others and success over others, but no one can deny the fact that it keeps the students motivated toward their goal. Having such skills makes a person his or her personal
What I believe that our society could do to make our education better is by all of the teachers treating all of their students the same way. Some teachers treat some students better than others by helping them more or letting them off the hook. Also, some teachers feel it is necessary to treat students differently because we are all different, but that doesn't mean that some students should be treated better.
When this nation was founded, it was founded with a strong importance put on strong values and education. Educating future generation was very important to the founding fathers. As Dr. Carson said, this nation thrived because of the strong emphasis placed on traditional family values and the instruction on the difference between right and wrong. This included the use of the Bible and basic religious principles and teachings in school. In our society today, many people prefer not to follow the principles and moral
Students today face many challenges that we did not encounter in our adolescence. One of the biggest challenges they face is the need for them to evolve into capable civic members in a ever changing and far more complex world than the one we grew up in. Their futures and that of our communities depend on their education. Cutting things like smaller student to teacher ratios, full day kindergarten, and alternative programs for at risk high school students can only lead to 1st graders that are under prepared, overworked teachers, and lower high school graduate percentages for the state of
I agree with this quote Martin Luther King Jr. The public school system, while designed with learning in mind, seems to be a food-chain of popularity. Children seem to worry more about how popular they are or how many friends they have as opposed to learning. While socializing is good, learning is still important. Likewise, an education without building character is also less effective. It is important for schools to emphasize both education and building character so students can be ready for both employment and
I would realize this goal, by teaching values emphasized at organizations such as The Barefoot College, which empowers marginalized people to lift themselves out of poverty, and acquire an education. The Barefoot College focuses on investing in the future of third world people, and develops their prospects for the future. For example, they teach rural Rajasthan villages how to use solar panels; the
Education is a very important part of society. I feel that it should teach children how to function in a society, and learn the basics they will need to expand on for the rest of their life. I feel that it is used to teach moral, and ethical standards of living. The schools are used to help the children learn to function in life, and achieve the goals of their choosing. Education is important because without it I firmly believe that society would be a very savage institution. With the things that we teach in today’s schools we give the power to know the basics such as reading, writing, and math but we also give them the ability to function in a society. As a teacher I hope to set my student of fire. I want to see them come alive with a desire to want everything that is out there for them. I want to be able to make a difference in just one person’s life. If I can do this I would feel I have done what I am supposed to do. I want my students to know the world is theirs to take and do with it whatever they may choose.
Education is the most effective means of fighting poverty, protecting democracy, and improving lives. Everyone can learn, and as an educator, it is incumbent upon us to identify how to encourage our students to be intellectually curious, thoughtful, and compassionate citizens.
The Brotherhood was fueled to solidify their political power when Mubarak’s regime fell in February of 2011. In addition, other Islamists began to enter into the political realm and establish their own distinct political organizations. Shortly after, the group establishes the Freedom and Justice Party in 2011 and, “proceeded to win approximately 47% of parliamentary seats in the 2011/12 elections” (al-Anani 2015, 530). As final elections drew closer, the Brotherhood’s platform began to change and become more ambiguous and hypocritical regarding their stance on topics. They made several revisions to the original platform; the most significant and contentious kept clerics from gaining a formal role in the political realm. The topic of
Education is a very important aspect of the lives of all people all over the world. What we learn, not just in the classroom, shapes who we are. We take our education everywhere we go. We use it when talking to our buddies about sports or music, we use it while solving a math problem, we use our education while debating with our family whether or not we should watch TV or go to the movies. Our education is the foundation of who we are, since every decision we make and every thought we think is dependent on what we know. Imagine how different the world would be if everyone craved learning to such a degree that at lunch tables all over the world the topic of conversation isn't who likes who, or how drunk
Apart from the common core classes students are required to take, schools should offer life skills classes. Some should include how to have a budget and handle money, general life skills, such as writing a check, and even more sex ed classes. A general life skills class would be very beneficial to today's teens. Most students leave high school with a great deal of useless knowledge that was stuffed into their brain, yet they don’t understand credit and student loans, which is used immediately in college. Much of this responsibility is supposed to be on the parents, but as for schools, there should be a balance between academic and life skills. Financial classes could save many students twenty and older from getting into financial bundles when they possibly want to own their own car, or even get an apartment. Most children have lousy parents and role models, which mostly leads to bad influences being shown. Sex is a very ashamed topic to talk about amongst a
I strongly believe that people create their own knowledge through their experiences. I believe that humans are learning creatures; we constantly learn through our experiences and through the passage of time. We take in new information from our experiences, process it, and then integrate it into our own knowledge. Our knowledge is not limited to our intellectual capacity, but extends to our social awareness, and our spiritual selves. Therefore, it is important to ensure that students are prepared to enter into a society that is socially dominated, and both intellectually and spiritually demanding. We can do this through inspiring students to think critically, learn constantly, become a part of society while retaining a strong sense of self, and encouraging students to reflect on and
How we can do that or how we can achieve that? Again listeners the only aim of this goal is to value the people like us, saw how? There are many way to value our self and others like Education they said that “Education is the most powerful weapon that we can use to change the world.” By means of that saying we need to be educated in order to be a good person and to understand the little things that sometimes we throw without regret. But not only to be educated is the way to commit with a good value because listeners even child non know how to do bad things, did you know that some people who are not educated is the one who know the good values and the one who respect others like my grandfather and grandmother even though they did not step their foot in school still they teach me to be a good person. Listeners we need to save the only wealth that we can have even though without money, because money is not the basis of a good life nor it’s the
Each year in the school is basic education’s year for every person. In the school, teachers will give many lessons to students. It can be lesson about life or about the subject such as math, physic, biology, English, etc. They are the keys who play the role in order to expand and lead the students to be good people. Because of that, school must prepare the students to obtain knowledge and skills (hard skill and soft skill). Not only that, students slowly could learn how to make a friend, how to communicate with each other, how to manage their time, learn about attitude, and learn about personality.
One thing I did not understand very well while I was in school as a child was that effective schooling shouldn’t teach its participating students what to think, but rather how to think. The way I see it, as I imagine personally and understand from my time spent attempting to comprehend pedagogical theory, is that education’s main function is to help people form dispositions for thinking that they can use to be successful and happy in their lives; frames of mind, or worldviews, so to speak, that enable problem solving and one’s ability to perspectivize the world around them in such a way that they may possess or acquire tact, grace, or passion, and in ways which are honest and productive, indeed conducive to socialized human life. I believe that it is a fundamental human interest to live a good and wholesome life, be it by whatever reasonable qualifications a person may offer for that. People, I believe, desire communication, and have an interest in hearing others and being themselves heard, as do they desire to enact and also act upon cultural or social rituals that reinforce equality and justice, and so forth. The problem with this ideal, however, is that many historical, cultural, economic, psychological, and sociological forces obstruct it. Though my telling of it here may seem abstract on one level, which I certainly would not argue, I also would do an injustice in failing to point out that these are matters of practical significance as well. They are often simple
The foundation of society is based on education because it brings economic and social Growth. Students should start by accepting the challenges that come along with learning and believing in themselves to better the education systems they came
