I have become a great student high school over the past four years and I have no doubt my character will come with me to college and help me achieve my goals. I have great drive and a passion for helping people, which will keep my eyes on the prize and be successful i my academic
I will go to class on time and be a model student. I will respect my teachers, fellow students, and the faculty at the High School.
Ever since 8th grade, I have worked hard a lot more when I play volleyball. Right when the varsity coaches asked me to join their practice, I knew that I had to work hard and that it will pay off. Now, at every practice, I would play my heart out even if I was playing with a fractured finger or a rolled ankle.
Education is a very important aspect to many people. For me, getting a well-rounded education will help me reach my lifetime goal of being happy and bringing that happiness to people by helping them. The spark of motivation came in a very unusual way. It happened when taking the mandatory Chemistry class sophomore year of high school. This class was interesting and eye-opening to me because it provided a different look on life. I knew after completing the class that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical and science field. Texas A&M University is my top choice school because I know that attending this school will give me the best education and it will also help me reach my goals in the future.
My schooling and education are the most important things to me. But it hasn’t always been that way. I honestly didn’t start caring about my education or schooling until I came to Coloma. Don’t get me wrong Benton Harbor Area Schools aren’t bad it was just so hard for me to focus there and the work was way too easy. Making the switch to Coloma has been the best thing for my education. My first semester here was so hard. I was failing test and getting bad grades. I just didn’t understand. I then realized it’s not the school it was me I wasn’t trying hard enough. So I tried harder and now my grades are better than ever and I have big dreams about college and the life after that. Making that switch has taught me I’m much more than people and I expect me to be.

I can confidently tell that I am a greatly motivated student, who is passionate about embracing the society and the college through my passion, hard-work and
Education is very important to me. I like to take it seriously. School and education is a huge invest for everybody's future and the well being of future generations to come. I would like to graduate high school and get my graduation diploma. From there on I want to enroll into a college and/or a trade school. I would like to become an automotive engineer ultimately to design the future cars that will roll off the lot. I would also want to open up a
I will respect past leaders, current teacher, and future learners. I will strive for excellence in every capacity I am in. As a learner, I will diligently learn not only knowledge but also skill and application. As a teacher, I will be patient, remembering that it was once new for me and that I am a learner as well. As a leader, I will focus on people and believe in the change they can
Many things have happened in my life, and plenty have been successful moments. The successful moment I had was being a freshman and making it on the list to do a dance solo. This moment was very important and made me feel victorious.
Have you ever dropped a pebble in a pond and watched the water ripple outward from the center for what seems like an eternity? It is fascinating how one seemingly insignificant pebble can have an enormous effect on such a large expanse of water. Through my life experiences, I came to the realization that everything I do has an effect on others in some way either positively or negatively. Every person that I come into contact with, on any given day, is affected by me. Even a simple gesture such as a smile, holding the door open for someone, or a kind word could change that person’s day for the better. Doing my best can positively affect others, and can in turn, inspire them to do their best. Consequently, they may pass on their best effort to
There have been abundant amount of times where I have been called fabricated, mean, goodie goodie, teacher’s pet, or stupid. While some of these might be true, they certainly aren't all true. I do consider myself to be a good student and I try to get all of my work done and never get in trouble, but I have forgotten to turn work in, or just forgot to do it in general. When I think of a goodie goodie, I think of someone who gets all their work done, gets 100% constantly, never gets in trouble, and pays attention in class. I don’t consider myself to be a teacher’s pet either. I do like to do what the teacher asks but I consider that to be a good, responsible, cooperative student, not a teacher’s pet. I don’t consider myself to be fabricated,
My future goals include attending law school to become a corporate lawyer and eventually running for public office in my hometown and the United States Senate. My St. John’s education has prepared me for my future goals by really encouraging me to love education and never give up on what my dreams even if the road seems rough. Coming to St. John’s really helped me understand why having an education is so important in our world today. An education is a tool that can never be taken from you and every day I wake up for class, I never take this opportunity for granted. I love learning new things and applying these things to real life experiences. For example, last spring in my Civil Procedure law class, I learned much about the process of a case
Effort. Something so pervasive, yet also unquantifiable. Every individual has undoubtedly heard the trite phrase “Always do your best’ multiple times throughout their lifetime, yet the amount of individuals who actually fulfill this obligation is debatable. What distinguishes the extraordinary from the mediocre is effort, the only determining factor in success that an individual can solely truly control. Investing one’s maximum effort in everything extends beyond an old cliche, articulated without purpose and promptly ignored. I believe in always committing oneself to their fullest potential, even when it may seem trivial.
Life always presents you great opportunities to succeed, but it is you who must decide whether to take them or leave them. This scholarship is a great opportunity for me to continue investing in my own education, since I consider it to be my number one priority, and as I believe that education is the key to impact and motivate others through one’s own testimony, and to also inspire others to pursue their own goals .
The attributes that I distinctly possess and make me a well-rounded student is my desire and willingness to learn and the ability to keep challenging myself. I believe these attributes help contribute to my success in the classroom, student body, and the Air Force Academy as a whole because I enjoy being challenged whether it is physically or mentally. I believe lifelong learning is an important part of my life, no matter what challenges life brings me.
For the most part, I grew up in an environment that valued education, and for this I am grateful. My Mom has worked incredibly hard to keep us in Arlington, despite not really having the means to do so. Neither of my parents went to college, and because of this they placed so stress on education, coincidently they both have worked in the school system. After my Dad passed away, my Mom turned all of her attention to making my sister and I succeed academically, forcing us to go to school and stay on top of school work. Because of the large role education has played in my life, my interests are centered around learning, specifically neuroscience, biology, and public health. Currently, I am hoping to become an epidemiologist or physicians assistant.
