College Competitive Advantage

The University of Central Florida is a public school that offers many degrees and career opportunities to the student. History, of the campus, is very unique.In 1963 governor Farris Bryant signed the Legislative Bill 125, creating the university on the same day it was discovered. On March 19, 1967, governor Claude Kirk as the featured speaker with over 2,000 supporters by his side.The acceptance of the college in today's day and age is that a high school student who wants to apply would need an average ACT score of 28.1 and a GPA of 4.06 to attend.Classes/elective that a student must have to be accepted is that students must be apart of engineering, computer, science, biomedical science, biology, and business majors to be accepted. Providing that potential college students meets all of these acceptance criteria there are many areas of study and involvement on campus to consider.

In 1957, the city of Ocala, and Atlantic Realty Investment Company donated a 60-acre tract of land to establish the Central Florida Junior College. The increase of growth; required the college to expand to 140-acre tract. The college serves the tri-county area, Marion, Citrus, and Levy counties. In 1966, Central Florida Junior College merged with Hampton Junior College. In 1971, the college changed the name to Central Florida Community College, to reflect the purpose of the college to serve the tri-county area. In 2010, the name changed to College of Central Florida. “As a public institution, the school is dedicated to providing a quality education at low cost, ensuring that residents in its service area have their educational, cultural and professional needs met” (2015, College of Central Florida).

Out-of-state public colleges are more expensive than in-state public colleges. For that reason, many students stay in state for their education. Let's say you can go out of state to a public college on an in state tab. Sounds like a dream, but is it reality?

The nature of place in which the client is being seen is in an office located on the college campus of the career transfer center. The student is attending a community college part time. She is also working in the career transfer center. The community college serves and offer those that are interested in furthering their education, earning a certificate or transfer programs. Firstly, I especially preferred community college in Washington State because some of them provide High School Completion program, obtaining United State high school diploma. From a certificate to a master's degree, each accolade added to your credentials must count. Student debt continues to climb, and the last thing a graduate wants is a worthless degree. Smaller Colleges are better for students. The campuses is small enough to where people can get around easier unlike bigger campuses. It also means a small amount of students meaning smaller class rooms which is good for the teachers/professors so they can lecture better and have a more controlled class. It's also easier for the teacher/professor to help students because it is a smaller classroom. Students will have an easier time on learning and listening because they are in a smaller and more closed classroom and not a big classroom.

A Liberal Arts college is common among my vocabulary as that’s the type of college I attend, but I didn’t specifically understand what in fact a Liberal Arts college was until now. Most think college is college no matter where you go, but frankly that’s as far off base as you can get. Most colleges offer specific degrees or they are known for specific areas of field work. For example Texas A&M is mainly known for its veterinary field, Texas Tech is going to be where you find your engineer students and Liberal Arts colleges offer a wide range of selections. Can one pretend that community colleges compete with each other to seem better than the other? Kirkwood and Hawkeye are two community colleges in Iowa, both north of Mount Pleasant. Being that these colleges are not the same they have strengths and weaknesses. They also have some attributes in common.
