We all have struggles in life but we can all overcome them. “ You may see me struggle, but you will never see me quit “ , “ The secret to our success is to never, never give up “ , All throughout high school i will remind myself to NEVER give up because if i give up trying to accomplish my goal then i won't be successful in life or not have the career i want.
One of my strengths is working independently. Me working hard will help me finish my work and will help me finish school with good grades, graduate high school maybe with a diploma and the diploma will help my future by getting to choose a college that will help me properly get ready for my future career. In order to accomplish my goals for being a doctor i will need to work harder than i do and push myself over my limits so i won’t have a choice to give up. And if i don’t push myself over my limits than i will need to remind myself everyday that it’s better to push myself further than my goals than to not have money and a great life.

The medical field is a career path that brings about many options and opportunities of great value. The noble idea of being a doctor tends to cloud the diligent studying and precise training that is actually required for this career. I have wanted to become a doctor since a very young age, and now that the opportunity is here for the taking, I have fully researched what it takes to succeed in this profession and various specialties of the practice. The road to a medical degree is one filled with thousands of notes, years of schooling, and many stressful nights, but the reward is one incomparable to any other. Saving people’s lives on a day-to-day basis has been one of my dreams for as long as I can remember, so the rigorous curriculum
As the coming years approach, I want my future to hold both the passion to explore new opportunities and the strength to overcome new challenges. With the experiences of my high school career, I aspire to take all the things I learned to transition into a college environment where my ideas can be challenged and shared. Where I can learn from others; where I can seek the opportunity to make a direct impact towards saving lives. I believe I can do great things. Through tenacity I will not only be gratified in becoming a doctor, but also be able to share my compassion for others through
To many high school students, college seems like a far away land, a mysterious place where everyone wants to be yet not many know how to get there. As children, our parents tell us how much time we have to think about college, and that it is too far down the line to think about. The truth is it is never too early to think about your future. I, like many people, put little thought into my future career and now am lost in an unfortunate mix of indecision and anxiety. Not knowing where you want to be in the future is a hard burden to bear. Many of us tend to find out that we only know what we do not want, not what we actually do want. Do we want to be poor? Absolutely not. Do we want a boring job? Of course we don’t. We all want our
College 101 has been a very informative class. It has taught me a lot about college and the changes you have to make while attending college. I learned a lot about certain programs that the school offers, I knew nothing about these programs before I took this class and I probably never would have known anything about them if I never would have taken this class. In this class I have learned about three important concepts that can be very useful throughout my college years to come. I think time management, determining values and balancing lifestyles are the three most important concepts you need to help you succeed in college.
When faced with life’s obstacles you need to have a support team. Whether it’s friends, family, or a stranger that you met going through the same thing, there is always someone you can relate to and show you that the problem is only as big as you make it. If you have to take time off from goals to handle what is more important at the time, then so be it. But know that you will go on with life and come out stronger. If you let a hardship keep you down, you are only failing yourself and showing the people that didn’t believe in you they were right. Take a stand and fight every battle head on. you will learn more about yourself when you
I’ve learnt that being a doctor is about so much more than administering drugs. At its peak, being a doctor is about communication and compassion. Adversity has only improved my tenacity, focus, endurance, and problem solving abilities. Various circumstances have affected my academic performance negatively, but I use that as motivation to continually improve myself. I want to be a part of the solution to the family physician shortage and serve the community in the most effective way. My drive to improve the lives of others will help propel me through the difficulties of medical school and beyond. The personal experience I have with my immersion in the field of primary care gives me unique characteristics that will translate into creating a successful physician that focuses on building meaningful relationships with patients. I continually witness how my grandfather is positively impacting the community through medicine and it is my goal to be granted an opportunity to do the same. My belief in lifelong learning and continual self-improvement consistently drives me towards the study of medicine. Because of my life experiences, I now have the balance, endurance, clarity, and tenacity needed to be a successful medical
The process to become a doctor is one of the longest professional journeys. However, my experience at M. D. Anderson showed me how important and rewarding it will be in the end. I have a more in depth understanding of the purpose of being a doctor. It is not a flashy title nor a path for a secure job; being a physician is a key way to benefit another person’s life. Ultimately, my life goal is to help those around me and make a positive difference in their lives. Through biological sciences, I know I can impact the lives of current and future generations to

In reality, college has been very challenging for me. No one tells you about the adjustments and complications that you would have to face to become a successful college student.
There are many things that can hold people back from goals that they are determined to accomplish. Despite these hardships and dilemmas that we face, if we have fight in us and the correct work ethic we are bound to succeed. I personally have faced my share of obstacles in my life and have been through plenty of hardships. However, I always overcome them in one way or another. For example, when I first walked the halls of Harlingen High School I entered as a shy but ambitions freshman with a lot of friends and unfortunately a lot of enemies. I was always put down due to play playing ability in band. I constantly tried to get better and better and that’s when freshman region auditions came along. Like Dweck says on her article: “No one succeeds in a big way without enormous amounts of dedication and
