Studying skills will help you be more successful as well, there is also to much studying. To much studying can cause stress, and dense learning habits, also pushing your self to hard may ruin learning skills and cause your self to feel bad, or not as intelligent. Study skills for tests, quizzes, and exams is very important. Evenly spreading out study time will increase memory of the subjects you learn. Taking frequent breaks will make studying less stressful. Using flash cards, web sites, computers, or just a pencil and paper are all great ways to study. Having an answer sheet to refer to, and look over when your done will also help study and learning skills because it can help you see what you did wrong and need to fix. Having a study group or club before big tests, like exams or diplomas, will help you have more fun with your friends when studying.
Also study at home with adults to help you. Having friends to study with will increase your enjoyment of learning, and learning to learn. Doing homework right after you get home from school is good because you might still remember what to do and what you need to study. Doing homework in the morning can make it less likely for you to sleep or enjoy your day. If you enjoy writing or reading a job may be based on writing in a future date, but if you dislike reading you might want a job such as a doctor.

In my current role as a nurse educator I feel the desire to pursue my dream of obtaining a master’s degree, specializing in nursing education. It has been 27 years since I have sat in the student chair in a classroom; therefore, I anticipate a number of challenges and barriers to overcome. In this paper I will present and describe three challenges that I expect to be faced with over the next two years. I will also discuss the strategies I plan to use to address these challenges.
Written communication is the design of clear concise writing, meaning the organization of the paper is structured in a clear incisive manner. Written communication helps to preserve our thoughts or feelings. We tend to use this form of writing to reminisce with others, whether it be a family member, loved one, or general audience. Being able to express those feelings through written communication allows for capturing the memory, and setting the mood of the message being conveyed.

After graduating high school, no one prepares you for college. Most kids when they are finished with high school don’t even fantasize about going back to school. I have always wanted to go to college ever since I was a young kid. I also had dreams of myself going to college, but in my dreams, everything was picture perfect. In reality, college has been very challenging for me. No one tells you about the adjustments and complications that you would have to face to become a successful college student.
Preparing for academic success at the graduate level can be a daunting task. First, one must realize the reason they are in a graduate program to begin with. College 101 has been a very informative class. It has taught me a lot about college and the changes you have to make while attending college. I learned a lot about certain programs that the school offers, I knew nothing about these programs before I took this class and I probably never would have known anything about them if I never would have taken this class. In this class I have learned about three important concepts that can be very useful throughout my college years to come. I think time management, determining values and balancing lifestyles are the three most important concepts you need to help you succeed in college.
There are several qualities to have to be successful in college. These qualities can range from attending class to going above and beyond what’s expected. Success comes from the journey taken or the path chosen. Success also comes from being prepared. As a student, I must step up to the challenge and find the path to success along the way. Several ways I define success is to uphold academic integrity, have the ability to prioritize, and to motivate myself to stay on top of what needs to be accomplished.
Doing the assignments allows you to practice your understanding of that knowledge and will make things easier on the exams. Some classes don’t have a final exam. In these cases the homework will likely be worth a much larger portion of your mark and the marks lost from ignoring it could cause you to fail the course. In some cases, the homework you can do is able to be used on open note tests or quizzes. Having many of the answers already inside of your notes can make a test trivial to do well on. Doing homework isn’t always about the work itself. Of you are someone who has a busy life you may not feel like you have time for homework. Forcing yourself to make room to sit down somewhere quiet and do homework may give you some time to think. It will can give you a few hours away from the other stresses in your life.
“But what of the criteria for success?” Teachers define success in many ways. We must not only broaden our definition, but also make sure the definition is clear to everyone. In this way, students will know when they have done a good job, and they will know how to improve their work.
Organization is a broad topic that can be broken down in to several different sub categories. When we think of organization, we think of tidy shelves with individual labeled bins for all of our knick knacks, books and magazines or a closet full of neatly folded clothing and shoes meticulously arranged by color, function and style. These are examples of tangible items and only represent one small cross section of organization. Intangible items such as time, relationships, information and finances must also be organized in such a way that will improve our ability to be efficient, effective and ultimately successful.
